Question:

Tech tip says this model had the best ground clearance but in the qanda a different brand is recommended fir best clearance for a 2008 rav4, which is essentially the same vehicle. Whats the ground clearance for this model on a 2009 and whats the best ground clearance across all hitches for a 2009 rav4? Thanks in advance!

The measurements from the ground to the top of the inside of the receiver on the Curt # C12108 is going to be 12-3/4" .

You need to buy a hitch pin and clip for your accessories. Item # e95TR works well. I recommend grabbing a pin that locks because in my experience when traveling or just out running errands it gives me peace of mind knowing someone isn't going to take my expensive ball mount I'm so proud of. I use the Gen-Y Glider Shock Absorbing Ball Mount # 325-GH-12005 because it helps the ride quality when I'm towing and also puts less strain on my equipment. I think you'll understand whenever you have something in your hitch. Here's the one from Draw-Tite Item # BD580412
