Question:

Hi, I have the Curt 13149 that I am attempting to install on a 2018 Rav4 Adventure. The install is pretty straight forward, and no trimming appears to be required on this sub-model, except that there are existing bolt on the sub frame that the install guide does not address. One of the bolts looks like it would require an additional hole in the hitch to accommodate - but Curt says this is a no drill kit. Do you have any info on the Adventure model specifically? I know it is slightly different than the other sub models of Rav4. The wiring kit went in pretty much as expected, no problems there. Also, I havent had to trim any of the plastic, it seems it would mount fine without interference there. Just the extra bolt seems to be an issue. Thanks in advance for the help!

I confirmed with Curt's hitch fit guide that their Class II hitch # C12108 and their Class III hitch # C13149 are correct fits on the 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure.

We installed this item on a 2018 RAV4 and if you refer to the linked video for that installation you'll see the vehicle appears to have an identical frame setup to what is shown in your photo. You will remove those frame bolts as our technician did in the video.
