Question:

Is this also true for the HYBRID version too? I check the installation manual of the c13149 model and it says EXCLUDING ELECTRIC. How this apply to Rav4 HYBRID 2016?

The Curt # C12108 is a fit for the 2016 Rav4 Hybrid, but the fit for the full electric EV version hasn't been confirmed because Curt is located in Wisconsin and the EV version is available in California only.

If you'll be using the hitch for a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, the Curt Class II hitch has a warranty stipulation that requires a stabilizing strap like part # 18050 be used for all non-trailer loads. That's fine, but vehicles that have a spoiler at the top of the rear hatch aren't well suited to having a strap hanging off of it. The strap can damage the spoiler.

I'd recommend going with either the Curt Class III hitch, part # C13149 or the etrailer Class III, part # e98864, both are a confirmed fit for the RAV4 Hybrid and neither has the warranty stipulation about using a stabilizing strap.

If you'll be towing with your RAV4, you might also need a trailer wiring harness w/ 4 pole trailer connector, part # 118578 a ball mount like # 2923 and a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball like # 19260 or a 2 inch ball, part # 63845.
