Getting the trailer height right is what makes the difference between a smooth, level tow and one that feels off balance. This Draw-Tite ball mount gives you both a 6" drop and a 4" rise so you can match your trailer height exactly. With an 11-1/2" length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole, it gives you plenty of reach to line things up cleanly every time you hook up.
When you’re pulling serious weight, you want gear that’s built to handle it. This mount is rated for 21,000 lbs gross towing weight and 2,100 lbs tongue weight. The solid steel shank is made for 3" x 3" trailer hitch receivers and stays steady under heavy tension without flexing or twisting. It’s the kind of strength that inspires confidence on every haul.
Towing gear lives a tough life out in the elements. The black powder coat finish on this mount protects the steel underneath from rust, salt, and road debris so it keeps its clean look even after long trips and rough weather. It’s a finish made to last through years of regular use.
Sometimes simple is best. The fixed platform keeps things straightforward—no moving parts or adjustments to worry about. Just choose a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" diameter shank (sold separately), bolt it up, slide the shank into your receiver, and lock it down with a 5/8" pin. Once it’s set, it stays tight and reliable run after run.

Today, we're going to take a look at the Draw-Tite ball mount for three inch hitches. Has a six inch drop or a four inch rise and a 21,000 pound weight capacity. Now this sturdy steel ball mount will fit into a three-inch square receiver tube opening, and it can handle up to 21,000 pounds towing capacity. This ball mount will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank portion right here is what'll slide into your vehicle's hitch receiver, and the ball platform will provide the mounting point for your hitch ball.Now, the hitch ball is not included. We do sell that separately.
When you do go to buy a hitch ball, you do want to make sure the shank diameter on the hitch ball is going to be one and a quarter inches. That's the diameter of the opening here on the ball hole.Now, both the drop and the rise positions are available to ensure level towing. If we'd use it in the drop position, which would be this position like this, it's going to measure six inches of drop, and that's measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. So, you can see if we put a ruler on it, it's going to give you six inches of drop. If we flip it over and use it in the rise position, it's going to get you four inches of rise.
Again, that's going to be measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. Again, if we put the ruler on it, it's going to get your four inch rise. Now this is a sturdy steel construction. You can see it has a nice black powder coat finish on it to offer superior rust protection.Now, when you do install this in your hitch, it does require a hitch pinning clip or a hitch lock to secure it. Those items we do sell separately on our website, the hitch pin hole that the pinning clip or hitch lock will fit in is a five eighths inch diameter.
Application, again is for three inch by three inch trailer hitch receivers. Gross towing weight capacity, 21,000 pounds, tongue weight capacity, 2100 pounds.Last thing I want to do is give you a couple of measurements. The length on this will be measured from the center of the hitch pin hole right here to the center of the ball hole. So, if we go center the ball hole right at 11 and a half inches, and then the measurement from the center of this hitch pin hole to the very back of the shank is going to be right at five inches.That should do it for the review on the Draw-Tite ball mount for three inch hitches with the six inch drop and the four inch rise.

I also ordered a 2” ball with the ball mount and pulled my trailer about 500 miles with both of them. The chrome on the ball has flaked off so bad that I have replaced it with a U-Haul ball and the ETrailer ball is in my scrap barrel.

Still going strong. I use it to pull a 4x8 utility trailer. Also sometimes plug a hitch carrier into it when I want to haul a few bags of mulch or a couple of propane cylinders or gas cans.
