Monte - 04/24/2022Overall, the product is high quality. The installation was pretty straightforward. Had to spend $xx to replace hardware that was missing. When the box arrived, the bag containing the hardware was opened inside and everything was scattered. Turns out I was missing some crucial hardware. The license plate holder was also bent way out of shape and needed work before it would fit. Overall I'm happy with it.
Sierra K - 06/02/2022Kit needs shims to properly fit between the chassis. I used 2 thick 1/2” washers per bolt (4 bolts). It may be been able to use even 1 more thinner washer per bolt but I did not have any on hand. That would have made it a very tight fit but 2 thick washers per bolt will work. Because I had to add shims I needed 4 more 2” long 1/2” bolts to complete the job. The way it relocates the transmission cooler on the Diesel engine is fair, the transmission lines will rub on the bracket if you do not slip a piece of 1/2” heater hose over the cooler lines. Fitament of license plate holder is fair. May cause a rattle noise over bumps (I have not driven it yet). There was also a lot of hard ware missing (all 6 1/2” nuts plus some washers). The bag was open, looked like someone dug in there on purpose to use them for another order. I also installed this 100% alone. It is doable but the bumper takes a little time re aligning. All that being said, the hitch seems well built. Hope to use it for years to come.

As far as the hitch...well the instructions need some serious updates for 2021 super duty. The hitch was 1/4" short to fit between frame rails, so i had to add shims to bring it in snug. the whole thing can be put on without removing the bumper. I removed the lower valance and both pass and driver bumper supports bolts at the frame and then loosened (not removed) the main 8 bolts to give me 3/4 inch wiggle room that allowed me to reach into frame to add the hitch mount bolts and torque them, this was wonderful and saved me some time. the plastic trim panels around the tow hooks are a bugger to get off, but patience will prevail if you gently slide a no scratching thin blade screwdriver in to release the two plastic locks then the other clips will snap right out
once i had all the plastic cut to allow room for the hitch, i raised it up to the frame and used 12" 3/8 socket extension bars to slide through frame as well as hitch bolt holes to hold it in place while i installed the lower and one side bolt on each side. made it a cinch to adjust and get centered and add shims.
Worth the wait. This one was on backorder for several months and the site recommended a different one that was in stock. But that one extended under the bumper and I didn't want to sacrifice ground clearance. I added a push bumper to my truck so I have to run a drop hitch, but it works great for parking trailers as well as running my Homeplow and removable winch. This is the 2nd one I've bought for my fleet and will absolutely buy more as my fleet continues to grow.
Very well made , heavy duty for sure. Instruction are a little unclear when it comes to cutting the rubber insert. You will have to relocate the trans cooler mixer with provided brackets. All in all very happy with the quality and fit.
It’s a quality product. I installed it on a 2018 F-250. The only problem I had was when installing the four 1 1/2 inch bolts that connects the hitch to the frame was too short. I had to buy four 2 inch bolts. The hitch seemed a little short as there was at least a 1/4 inch gap on either side between the frame and hitch before installing.
Because of weather and busy time of year I do not have time to install it at the moment but the box it arrived in looked like it was dragged behind the truck instead of in it. The hitch does look good and the 1 quart size bag is holding the hardware and directions. I hope it is all there. The Receiver definitely appears well built and heavy duty. Because of shipping and the way the receiver was not secured in the box I will have to give it an average rating until I can install it.
Sierra K - 12/20/2021I didn't realize this was a Torklift product. I like their products very much. Is TL listening? I have a few suggestions to make a great product better.
The width is a bit narrow. While too narrow is better than too wide, I would suggest including some shims.
The instructions were incomplete. After cutting the bumper insert as described, the bumper could not be installed. More plastic cutting was needed to get the bumper in place. A couple black plastic push buttons might also be included to fill the very visible holes left in the front of the bumper insert. Luckily, I had some.
I like the higher mounting position and better look to this hitch.
The main use will be to haul a generator on a Torklift Lock and Load Sidekick while camping.
A Dremel with a cutting wheel was very handy to have for cutting the plastic.
Steve - 04/20/2021I installed this on my 2018 Ford F-250 after being so disappointed in the loss of ground clearance associated with the Curt trailer hitch. I found this instillation easier than the Curt because the bumper removal allows easy access to the attachment sites. The license plate holder was not included but a quick call resolved that omission.
Wow nothing but great things to say about etrailer!! After Purchasing my front receiver hitch 306-x7904 for my 2017 F250 at etrailer, I found the same hitch at a lower price somewhere else. Contacted etrailer and they honored the lowest price pledge in one day. I won’t shop anywhere else. Hitch arrived in perfect condition. Took a half a day to install.
etrailer service was great. Front hitch arrived quickly. The hardware bag was torn and some of the hardware was missing due to small holes in the box. I was able to purchase the hardware locally. The hitch installation was easy and straight forward. Hitch looks great and is hard noticeable.
Good hitch and not bad to install. The directions that came with it are not for a 2021 with a 7.3 gas engine. You don’t have to remove the cooler line bracket like in the video and I cut my plastic while still on bumper making it a tighter fit. The video also has you remove the upper and lower plastic strips but that wasn’t necessary just had to remove the covers over the tow hooks.
I installed the EcoHitch yesterday on my 2020 F250 diesel. The parts fit perfectly. If I had to critique something - a clearer picture or a video of the installation would be helpful. The enclose directions included pics that were hard to understand as it relates to cutting the plastic on the bumper. They seemed to be from another model year of truck... At any rate, the install was clean and took about 4 hours with two 15 minute assistance steps from my wife. 1st lifting the bumper off and then reinstalling. The hitch itself was placed with a floor jack.
Packaged not at all. Don’t even pretend like you tried or care. Haven’t installed yet, fully expect parts to be missing. Beyond stupid!

EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
Item # 306-X7904.
I selected this hitch for it's ground clearance hidden aspect.
Install was fairly easy was able to install in a few hours.
Instructions were easy to follow. The insert potion in my application
was slightly different than that in the instruction for the cut out. My
truck did not have the front license plate mount incorporated into the insert. Called
tech support at Torklift Central we were able to come up with a solution to
get the proper cut out for the insert. Very happy with the fit and appearance
Of this front mounted receiver.
After waiting for almost 3 months my hitch finally arrived. The Ecohitch front mount receiver seems to be very well built. Like others have stated the instructions need some work. There is a couple design flaws in the hitch. It seems the hitch width measurement was taken with the 2 U shaped brackets (fig 4.1 & 4.2) installed. The brackets have to be removed to install the hitch leaving about a 1/4" gap between the hitch and the frame. I cut & used the top part of the brackets for spacers and they filled the gap perfectly. I did have to get longer bolts. The other design change that is needed is holes for reinstalling the transmission line retainer clip and the clip for the fog light wires. The hitch covers the original holes. There is nothing in the instructions about securing the transmission cooling lines once the hitch is installed.
After having to wait almost 3 months and for the price I expected a better fit.
Box was damaged and most of the insulation hardware was missing.

Item is about 1/4” to 3/8” to short between the frame and there are no spacers that came with the item. Without making any or buying any I put it on anyway and not my bumper is a little off center. Should have took pictures but have the bumper back on. If I take it back off to fix it I will take pictures.
The hitch went on the front of my Ford F-350 pickup and the fit and quality are the BEST!! I use the front hitch a lot on moving my boat and other trailers in tight areas. Would be lost without a front hitch and this one has no equal that I’m aware of. Highly recommend this product!!
went on well all hardware was there, had to do a little more cutting of plastic than anticipated, better illustration in directions could have helped. Have used it twice on long trips to carry 100 pound spare tire for truck, with right tightener on carrier it was very solid. like the way it is invisible with license plate on and really appreciate the ground clearance when offroad. good product.
