No bulky box or extra knobs here—just your phone. The Echo Under-Dash Brake Controller connects through Bluetooth and gives you full control using the OneControl app. You can adjust max braking output, change sensitivity, and even apply manual override right on your screen. It works with electric trailer brakes on trailers with 1 to 4 axles. The app also lets you save multiple trailer profiles, so your settings are ready the next time you hitch up.
The main unit mounts out of sight under the dash, so nothing clutters up your console or bangs your knees. At only 3-3/8" long x 3" wide x 7/8" thick, it fits just about anywhere beneath the dash trim. Once installed, diagnostic LEDs on the box make troubleshooting simple without taking up space inside the cab. It’s a clean, factory-style setup that keeps everything out of view while still easy to access.
You get predictable stops every time thanks to true proportional braking. The internal 3-axis accelerometer senses how quickly your tow vehicle slows and matches the trailer’s brakes to that rate. Light pressure on the pedal gives light braking on the trailer; a hard stop delivers full power instantly. The result is even braking across both rigs and less wear on tires and pads down the road.
Setup is quick and clean. The included custom harness plugs directly into your vehicle’s factory port—no cutting or splicing wires. An adhesive pad and four zip ties help secure the small box under the dash at any angle, and calibration happens automatically once it’s powered and paired. In just minutes, you’re connected over Bluetooth and ready to drive with solid proportional control.
If you want extra insight while towing, the Echo Under-Dash pairs with other OneControl accessories (each sold separately). You can monitor tire pressure with Tire Linc or add True Course sway control—all in the same app. It’s a single Bluetooth system built for simple expansion and smarter towing management over time.

Still 5 stars, lots of trips including a long tow of over 5000 miles. Consistently worked flawlessly. Mild annoyance that they changed the app but once I learned how the new app worked it continues to function flawlessly.

I reached out to Curt about the problems with the new app. They advised that the new app runs the same as the old app it has to run in the foreground unless they are using the button which is the same as the old app. They wanted to know if you were having trouble getting past that screen. Which type of cell phone do you have and which IOS are you using?
