Today on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler, we'll be test fitting the Maxxtow tow strap loop for two inch hitches, rated at ten thousand pounds, part number MT70029. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the strap loop into the opening of the hitch, and securing it with a pin and clip. It could be used in agricultural, industrial, or recreational applications. The hitch pin and clip are sold separately. That will complete today's test fit for the Maxxtow tow strap loop for two inch hitches, part number MT70029, on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler. .

Hi Derrick, The Trailer Hitch Receiver Mounted Forged Tow Eye # TR63045 shank is 1-7/8" x 1-15/16" with rounded corners, which would explain the amount of play you've been experiencing. Hitch Mounted Tow Ring with At Least 4 Inches From Center of Hitch Pin Hole to Closest Point of Ring
The MaxxTow Tow Strap Loop # MT70029 measures 3 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the weld. For a longer option the TowReady Tow Eye # TR63045 measures 4-1/2 inches from the hitch pin hole to the closest point of the ring.

The ring on the Trailer Hitch Receiver Mounted Forged Tow Eye # TR63045 is approximately 1" thick. The Bulldog Winch 3/4" Bow Shackle # BDW20020 has an opening of about 1-1/4". This will work, but it will be a tight fit. I recommend going with the Bulldog Winch Bow Shackle # BDW20117. The hoops of the Erickson tow strap # EM59796 you referred to are compatible with the MaxxTow Tow Strap Loop, part # MT70029. Keep in mind, the tow strap has a 15,000 lb capacity, but a safe working load limit (WLL) of 7,500 lbs, which means you wouldn't want to exceed the WLL of the strap.

Front Trailer Hitch Solution for 2019 Ram 1500 New Body Style with Factory Tow Hooks
For the new body style 2019 Ram 1500 models like what you have we have front hitches that will fit as long as the truck did not have factory tow hooks or as long as they are removed prior to installation.
