Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this MAXTRAX soft shackle two inch recovery hitch mount. Has a 19,400 pound working load limit. Now, traditional recovery hitches should not be used with soft shackles because the harsh edges of them will permanently damage that shackle. This hitch recovery mount will let you use your soft shackle to recover a vehicle without damaging that shackle. Application, as we mentioned, this will fit a two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver.

And what's nice where you put your shackle through, it is a curved radius, so it distributes the weight across the shackle, prevents any ripping or tearing. And the smooth edges on this lets you pull from any angle without any damage to your shackle. Now, I wanna demonstrate how this works. I happen to have, here's an example of a two inch by two inch hitch opening. So if I take out the pin and clip, you can see that it gives you two options, two hitch pinholes.

You can do it on the first one or you can put it in further to the second one. We're just gonna do the first one. And it does require a 5/8 inch diameter pin and clip to secure at our hitch lock. That is not included. We do sell these separately on our website.

So you put your pin through there, clip it into place, and now you have a attachment point for your soft shackle. And when we mention a soft shackle, this happens to be a fuse shackle that's used and what you can do is run that through there, just like that, open it up, put your knot through the loop, and then you can see how right here, this will give you a nice attachment point for your rope. Now, it is a hitch mounted design, so it ensures a quick simple installation and removal. Now we'll go ahead and take it out here so we can talk a little bit more about this. But as you can see, it is a durable anodized aluminum construction.

It's very strong and corrosion resistant. Looks really nice. And it is individually x-rayed for defects. As we mentioned, the hitch pin and clip or the hitch lock that goes in here is sold separately. A few specs on this, we mentioned the working load limit on this is 19,400 pounds.
