Today we're going to be taking a look at part number EM59705. This is the Erickson Tow Strap with Reinforced Loop Ends. This tow strap is going to let you safely tow a disabled vehicle. The loop ends allow for easy attachment to the vehicles. When I laid this flat and measured the distance from this point here, the stitching right here, it ran approximately 10" of opening. Again that's when it's laid flat. You'd place one end around the disabled vehicles tow hook or frame and through the loop on the opposite end of the strap.
Then you'd attach the other loop to the tow hook on the tow vehicle. The other loop on this other end of the strap is exactly the same as the one I'm showing you. The reinforced ends are covered with a high-tenacity, nylon overlay. It's going to protect against premature wear. That's really a neat advantage to have. The strap itself is made from a durable polyester webbing.

Durable, 4" wide polyester webbing. 20,000 lbs Max load.I haven't used THESE straps yet, BUT... I bought them because of the service I've gotten from one (same manufacturer, same specs) about 8 years ago from ya'll. It worked nicely/safely, along with 3/8 chains, to pull 20-inch x 20-ft maple logs from the woods. I've also towed and pulled-out trucks without concern for snapping it. -- As with anything, one has to respect the limitations.
I decided to wait to fell and pull some logs from deeper inside the woodline... which is why I bought these. That task is on my list for when the weather clears enough.
Haven't broken it yet.
I hope to never need it but I got one to do whatever happens.
