What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out our Tri Max tow loop. It mounts to your hitch and you can hook up a strap to pull somebody outta trouble. Let's check it out. Today we have a producer on a two and a half inch hitch so it's made so this two inch hitch can fit in there. It works really easily.
Just undo the pin here to loosen it and you can remove the shackle from there. That should only be hand tight. You don't have to use tools to do this. Then we'll get our strap that we're gonna run through the loop through the shackle. Put that back in place and replace our pin.
Now make sure you put the pin towards the end that has the threads on it 'cause that's how it's gonna tighten down. So as I put it through there under mount tighten this down by hand. Wait til it gets tight and then back it off a half turn that way it's gonna be easier to remove when you're done towing. Looking at the shackle, this one actually has a protecting piece here that's gonna keep it from scratching up the shackle or causing any damage there. That's different than some of the other shackles I've used so I like that and has an extra protection from it getting scratched up and worn down.
Once you remove the pin and clip that's not included you will have to pick one of those up on your own, you can see how you can maneuver it this way as well so we can put it in the vertical position and that's gonna help you out if you need to pull from an angle. So maybe you can't get your truck backed up to where the other vehicle that's stuck is without you also getting stuck. You're gonna pull more of an angle putting less pressure on this pin. The shackle is gonna be three quarters of an inch in diameter which gives it a weight rating of 10,000 pounds. It's also got a solid steel construction so you know it's gonna last.
Overall I think this would be really helpful to have, especially if you or someone else gets stuck when you're off-roading. You can help somebody else out or somebody can help you much better than using tow hooks underneath a vehicle that could damage the frame. This is that solid steel so you don't have to worry about anything getting damaged when you go to pull somebody else out too. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helped.
