Today we're going to be taking a look at part number BDW20037. This is the Bulldog two inch by two inch receiver with a 3/4 inch shackle. The hitch-mounted tow ring is going to feature a four pin hole design. That way you can orient it any way that you want inside of your hitch, horizontally or vertically. The pin hole diameters are going to measure 5/8 of an inch. Your hitch pin and clip or hitch pin and lock are going to be sold separately.
You can find a hitch pin and clip here on our website with part number PC3. The unit is going to be made from a solid steel construction. It's going to have a nice zinc plating on it to resist rust and corrosion. The shackle is going to be constructed of a forged alloy steel. It's got the easy-to-use screw pin design for easy attachment of your strap or tow strap or hook, whatever it is that you need to get in there. We're going to take a measurement of the opening inside of the shackle.
Inside edge to inside edge going this direction is going to be about 1-7/8 of an inch. The amount of opening that we have going this direction is going to be pretty close to two inches. The distance that we have from the center of the hitch pin hole to the very end of the shackle with it all the way out, that's going to give us a measurement of about 7-3/4 of an inch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of this portion right here, that's going to give us a measurement of about five inches. The distance that we have from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the shank, that's going to give us a measurement of about 7/8 of an inch at this point here. This is going to feature a working load limit, or a capacity, of 9,500 pounds.
I just want to show you how it installs real quick. All you have to do is take it and place it inside of our two inch by two inch opening on our hitch, line up our pin holes, and then we can insert our hitch pin and clip. Again, it's got the four pin hole design so you can orient it either way inside of your hitch. Go ahead and secure that. I'm using part number PC3.
That's going to be your standard 5/8-inch pin. It's going to come with that safety clip. That's going to do it for our review of part number BDW20037. .

The quality of the Bulldog 2x2 winch receiver was better than what I expected! Machined from a block of solid steel, it should more than live up to its 9,500 lb. rated capacity. Either my snatch line or tow strap will snap before this hawg gives out.
The 3/4" shackle is finished to match the silver coating on the receiver and should help to protect from rust. I gave everything a light coating of grease to for a little more protection from the winter driving conditions we have here in the Sierra mountain passes.
Thanks etrailer for another great product at a fair price and very fast shipping!
Just received the bulldog 2x2 receiver and man this thing is a hoss I am going to use this in conjunction with my bulldog snatch strap for recovery on the beach in Cape Hatteras NC. This thing is one solid billet of steel don't think I am going to have any problem with it failing in any way I think the trailer hitch would fail first. Package arrived fast customer service excellent as always speaking of customer service never had a place that tells you who processes it who packed it and who shipped it and what time everything took place, HATS OFF TO ALL CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLKS HERE AT ETRAILER hope they are paying all of you well you deserve it.( thank you etrailer.)
I have used this hitch attachment for vehicle recovery and I like it very much. It is very versatile due to the ability to mount it either horizontally or vertically. The quality appears to be very high as the main shank is actually a solid piece with holes drilled through.
Perfect hitch shackle. I have used it to pull small stumps, a winch point for pulling a bumper straight, and the occasional roadside recovery. I can't remember for sure, but I don't think it is made in the US.
Built tough. Also, looks tough on the truck which is always a plus! Short length makes stowing it in the truck until needed easier. Got it for emergency use...either mine or someone else's. Maybe I'll never need it, but I like to be prepared.
Good price, heavy duty. etrailer shipped it out quick and they have great customer service. Every product I have bought through etrailer has been high quality.
As advertised very good quality and fast shipping. First time customer and very pleased.
Product was delivered on time as expected. The Bulldog Winch is exactly as pictured and although I have not used it yet I have no doubt it will perform flawlessly. It's a great piece of mind to carry with you in your truck.
I work on gas pipelines. The right of way is often very muddy, icy, rough or very steep requiring vehicles to be pulled out of the situation. This is the best way to be pulled from the rear. Excellent, sturdy product!
Love the hitch. Service was great!! Product was like it said.. very important! 5 star rating. I would buy again.
This will be very useful and easy to setup in time of need.
Appears well made. Haven't gotten stuck yet, so I haven't used.
A very simple product. It is solid, and it works as designed.
This is a great product is exceeds my expectations. you could pull a tank with it if you had the power.
Excellent product and Seller...no probl ems
