Video Transcript for Spectro Wiring - Tools for Wiring - 459075-1 Review

Today, we're going to review part number 459075-1. This is the plastic wire loom, 1/2" in diameter. This part number is sold by foot. This part number is for 1 foot. Basically, how many feet you would need is you would just order this part number times how many feet you would need. I'll show you basically, there is about the 1 foot that you would get, and as you can see, it is 1/2" diameter.

It does have the opening on one side to where you can put your wires in. Basically, this would be used if you are going to do any wiring on your trailer or vehicle. Once you get your wires all run, you can put all the wires together in this loom to keep them in one spot. We also sell a related product if you need more than just the couple feet. Basically, we sell part number 459075, and basically, it's a box of 100 feet of this wire loom if needed. That should do it for the review on part number 459075-1. This is the plastic wire loom, 1/2" in diameter, per foot.

Ask the Experts about this Spectro Wiring

  • How Much of Each Gauge of Wire Fit Inside a Wire Loom Comfortably
I would certainly recommend the 1/2-inch wire loom # 459075-1. It will hold two jacketed 2 wire 10-gauge wire and three jacketed 2 wire 12-gauge wire. See pictures to the right. In addition, I was able to fit comfortably eleven individual 16-gauge wire # DW02359-1 into the 1/2-inch wire loom. I also took a digital caliper to measure the exact radius of each type of wire: 10-gauge is .17 of an inch, 12-gauge is .14 of an inch and 16-gauge is .09 of an inch. The 10, 12 and 16-gauge...

  • Electric Brake Conversion from Air Brakes on 15,000 lb Axle Trailer
The Dexter Electric Brake Kit w/ Cast Backing - Self-Adjusting - 12-1/4" - Left/Right Hand - 15K # 23-446-447 will fit any 15K axle that have the standard 7 bolt mounting flange. These are self-adjusting brakes so there is no need for manual adjustments after the initial installation. They are labeled left-hand (driver's side) and right-hand (passenger's side) to ensure proper placement. If you need the mounting hardware, I recommend # BRKH122510 for each axle. You will also need...

  • Installing a Brake Controller in 2001 Toyota Tacoma
Based on my research, the 2001 Toyota Tacoma did not come with a factory trailer connector. However, since you already have a 4-way connector installed on your truck, you will be able to start here for your brake controller installation. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885. This is a proportional brake controller with a digital display. It will level automatically when mounted within a 360-degree vertical range. The brake controller installs in your...

All lighting functions are accessible at the 7-way socket on your 2001 F-250. The function(s) carried on each of the 7-way contacts are shown in the linked photo. The easiest way to tap into these circuits is to install a 5th wheel wiring harness like # PK11932. This harness plugs in in parallel to the existing 7-way. Just remove the round U.S. Car connector at the back of your 7-way socket and plug in the PK11932 between the OEM harness and the socket. This will give you 7-1/2-feet...

  • Can the Power Wire on Trailer Wiring Harness # 118498 be Routed Inside of a 2011 Toyota Sienna
There are a couple of options for routing the power wire for Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118498. Since you want to keep it out of the elements, you can either route the wire through the frame or route it through the cab of the vehicle. If you want to route it through the frame, you will need a long and rigid piece of wire, push it through the inside of the frame from the front of the vehicle to the back, tie the power wire to the end, then pull the rigid wire back through....

I would go with a 3/8 inch diameter, like # 39035. That should provide enough space for the wires and still give good coverage. This loom comes in a 10 foot length. If you needed less of expect that you might have other wiring to run with the existing wires, you can go to a 1/2 inch loom, sold in 1 foot increments, # 459075-1.

Using this adapter, you will be able to tow trailers with 7-way connectors or 4-way connectors. There are a few additional parts we used when installing this connector. If you want a tight fit at the clamps you can use 3/4" x 60' Electrical Tape to close the loom at that location and make it your desired thickness for clamping.
