Question:
2018 Ford F150 XLT Roush. All-Terrain Mickey Thomson Baja ATZP3 305/55 tires. 20 inch rims. Measuring the minimum clearance between the tire and the Fox mud guard/roost guard, the rear driver side has 1.25” of clearance and the rear passenger side has 1.5” of clearance. First question, does the mud guard/roost guard allow for slightly more clearance since it is flexible and allows a minimum of .5” of flexibility before it touches the shock? Second question, are there fairly simple and inexpensive ways to increase the clearance? Third question, are there any tire chains that will work with my current setup?

You wouldn't want the tire chains hitting any component of your 2020 Ford F-150 even if it's a flexible portion and since there isn't a way to add additional clearance with your current tire size your best option would be a tire chain that requires less clearance like the Titan Tire Chains part # TC2337 which is a fit for your tire size and is Class S compatible. This means it requires less than 15 mm/ .59 of an inch.
The Titan tire chains are easier to install, provide great traction, and are priced great too.
