Features to know about

Confident Driving on Snowy and Icy Roads: Diamond Pattern With Square Links Grips Hard

When the roads get slick, these Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains dig in and hold steady. The diamond pattern gives more tire coverage than standard ladder chains, so you get consistent traction not just while going straight, but also while cornering or braking. The square links bite into snow and ice for excellent grip and stopping power. It’s a solid setup for staying in control when conditions get tough.

Stay on the Move With a Smooth, Steady Ride: Small Link Size Reduces Vibration

Driving with chains doesn’t have to feel rough. The small 0.145" (3.7 mm) thick links help smooth out bumps and vibration as you roll over packed snow or ice. That means fewer jolts through the steering wheel and a ride that feels more stable and predictable on winter roads.

Quick Chain Mounting in Harsh Weather: Assisted Drape-Over Design With Built-In Tensioners

When the snow is falling fast, you don’t want to wrestle with your chains. These are designed to drape right over your tires and connect quickly using color-coded hooks and cables. The integrated tensioners make it easy to snug them up without extra tools. Just connect, pull tight, and drive forward to recheck — no frustration, even when your hands are cold.

Built to Outlast Harsh Winter Use: Strong Manganese Nickel Alloy Resists Rust and Wear

These chains are made from a tough manganese nickel alloy that stands up to repeated use in wet, salty conditions. The corrosion-resistant metal keeps its strength through freeze-thaw cycles and high torque starts, giving long life even with regular winter driving. You’ll notice how solid they feel when you handle them — strong enough to last season after season.

Fits Where Space Is Tight: SAE Class S Clearance Design

If your vehicle has limited wheel well clearance, these SAE Class S chains are built for that space-saving need. They’re sized for 17"–18" tires and meet the minimum 1.46" (37 mm) tread-to-well and 0.59" (15 mm) sidewall-to-vehicle clearances required for restricted setups. That means reliable traction performance without rubbing or interference inside the wheel well.

  • B: at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle itself.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Really great communication. Thanks!

The product looks impressive and of good quality materials. Haven't tried them yet, so can't comment on the performance. What I didn't like was receiving the product with no installation instructions. Had to email etrailer to inform them and they promptly responded by emailing me pictorial instructions. Had to download and print out the instructions. Am glad I had a PRINTER to do so. Ordering, Packaging, Delivery, and Customer service were excellent. The manufacturer's product without the instructions was good (Not too cool)!

I have ordered through etrailer a handful of times now and every time I am impressed by their service. My order was shipped the same day as I placed it and came much faster than I expected. The personal follow up emails after the fact are a nice touch as well. I have ordered these tire chains in the past and they have held up well. Only ordering new sets because I have more vehicles in my company fleet that need them. Thanks for the great service, etrailer!

hard to get onto my E350 dually, but works well when in the snow. Suggest driving onto a 2x4 to lift up wheels so you can slide it between dual wheels. Great traction with heavy weight. durable.

I received the chains that were ordered in three days and shipping was free. I put the chains on my 2011 CTS for practice given we just had a 12-inch snow. My previous cables did not fit the car and left me stranded! The new chains went on the vehicle very easily, and I look forward to the next snow storm!

Looks like a durable and high-quality product. Easy installation compared to other similar products. I used to have socks for SUV, and it doesn't take any more time for proper installation. Need to test it out.

They fit my summer tires with no room to spare but will need to test them on my winter tires since they have s bit wider tread profile. will let you know then.

These were purchased for my GMC 2500 PU and I hope to never have to use them. I will be traveling to CO in spring and these are required by law, these along with a set for my 5th wheel are still cheaper than the fine for not carrying. The came well packaged in their own carrying case, appears to be good quality and the instructions seem clear for installation.

These chains were amazing! I was a bit hesitant to go with chains over cables due to the car's manual saying to use cables, but after talking to Bob at etrailer, and watching the install videos, I went with them (on all four tires) and am glad I did! We went up to Yosemite for the New Year, and it snowed the day we drove in. We got through the gate into the park without needing chains, but once inside, the roads started to get covered, and though we have AWD, we don't have snow tires and the chains seemed like the best option. We pulled over and had the chains on all four tires within about 20 minutes. The car ran like a tank through the snow (and later, ice-covered roads) and I'm really happy we went with the chains rather than cables. After putting on the chains, we drove about 100 yards to check and tighten them. They were actually pretty tight - only had to tighten one. They really really came in handy driving through the Yosemite Valley, and the email responses I got from Bob prior to buying these showed me great customer service. The shipping speed was top notch as well, and overall, I'm happy that we went with etrailer to get these chains for our snow-covered trip to Yosemite.

After a year of owning these chains, still couldnt be happier. Weve moved from CA to the east coast and though we havent yet had the need to put the chains on, we keep them in the car just in case. Having the peace of mind that I can stop and put them on quickly if needed makes me happy, and I still am very glad that I was able to get these from eTrailer with guidance from Bob

"etrailer" is fast (no surpirse), we use them a lot. These chains ROCK. They go on SO EASY. The grip is KILLER, not just forward thrust, but the back end stays planted in corners (diamond pattern is why). My '96 F-250 throws serious snow and ice roost with these on. They come off just as easy: Unhook, swing the cable out of the way from behind the back of the tire, back up 3", fling them in the case. If you are really tired of floppy ladder chains and latches, trimming links and cable type chains (that just don't work)? GET THESE CHAINS. I've tested them in axle deep snow, thick ice, they didn't break, the truck flat hooks up and goes. These WORK- PERIOD!

Still roosting snow! Use them several times a week in winter. Good stuff. Getting another pair once these wear out.

Just completed fit-check of these chains on my two vehicles (2016 Toyota Tundra, P255/70R18, Michelin LTX MS2; 2010 Toyota Sequoia, P275/55R20 111S M+S, Bridgestone Dueler H/L) and all is good! Hardest part of installation was untangling the chains to lay out on the ground (that always is, for me!). Practice makes it easier. Thank you etrailer!

Rolling a few revolutions and re-tightening chains IS important. Don't leave that step out. I'm going to add rubber tensioners (old-school, I know) just to be sure.

Pics are of the 2010 Sequoia and 2016 Tundra.

Nissan Titan
Great customer service, ensuring the proper fit for a non-standard tire size. The Titan Chain product was relatively inexpensive, and easy to install (only takes 2-3 mins per tire, and a good amount of that time is making sure the chain is all untangled and ready to install) The materials and components/ construction of the fittings is less robust than the corresponding parts on a similar style chain we got for another vehicle (Konig diamond pattern chains, also purchased from eTrailer. Those Konig chains fit securely, and performed flawlessly on packed sleet/ice). The tightening/ securing features of these Titan chains took some adjusting to get them to fit securely, but once on (and re-tightened, after a short amount of driving, per the instructions), they performed well, also on packed sleet/ice. Time will tell how well the cheaper components on these Titan chains will stand up to repeated use.

Works well, I suggest adding additional tensioner if you don’t want any slack.

Chain tire set was received several days before the date indicated in the order. My tire size 275/65-20 was not listed on the label of the TC2335 chain set received, even though it was indicated to be good for my tire size by Etrailer. I test fitted the chains in accordance with the etrailer video and it fit just fine as you can see in the attached photo. These chains should do well for our National Park trip in a few months.

Often the tire chain bags will not list every size that they will fit. Many will have a long list of sizes.

2018 Dodge Ram Pickup
Bought these for my new 2018 Ram Tradesman after trying some SCC Z Chains which, even though they are rated S class, had inner brackets and cables that seemed far to close to the rubber brake line on this Ram (which is unfortunately very close to the tire). These Titan chains are very easy to install, and have a very clean profile on the inside (see pic), so I think these will be fine on this truck.

They also come in a very nice, compact soft case, and are far easier to pack back up than other chains I've used. I've only tried them on my driveway, so can't comment on how they handle in the snow, but I suspect the diamond design should work very well. I did notice that moving the truck after installing, they did need to be snugged up by moving the one tensioner, but that's to be expected as they settle and center themselves on the tire. Very nice design with the stiff cable on the inside, and unique, easy to use tensioner system.

2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty
These tire chains work very well on my 2019 Ford F-250. They were very easy to install and remove, provide excellent traction in snow or on ice, and come in a nice carrying case. In addition to the built-in tensioner, I also added a rubber loop-type tension to keep them tight. The only problem I encountered was during the 2021 winter storm in Texas. I think I was the only person in the Austin area with tire chains, and while I was in a grocery store someone stole both chains from my front tires (luckily, they left them on the rear tires). The first picture is when I first installed the chains (before the ice and then snow) - the second picture is after several days of driving in the snow and ice (and after the front chains were stolen).

2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty
I bought these for my F350 dually to use in the mountains when the roads get really snowy or icy. I haven't used them yet, but they fit nicely. The only trick to installing them on duals is to make sure they are bunched up because they only fit between the wheels when they are stretched out. But once you get the steel cable through you can shake them a little and they go right through. I use them on the outer dual wheels and on the front if needed. I like that they are chain link, but the links are not so big that they ride rough. The chain pattern helps with smooth riding too. See photos.

2025 GMC Sierra 2500
Upon receiving my new set of chains. I opened the chain case and found that it did not contain the repair links , or instructions. In the event they don’t come with this set of chains. I watched the video and I am quite sure I will be able to install the chains with little effort. I appreciate the response from William.
by:
From ordering, to shipment, tracking, delivery and follow-up, really top notch service. The videos that show how to install are perfect (pay attention to that first hooking of the chain after draping the chains over the tire - a very important step!!). The picture is of my practice run in Texas prior to heading to PA/NY for a couple of weeks - haven’t needed them yet, but have total peace of mind that if I do need them, all will be well - they performed great in my pasture!!

I have reached out to the manufacturer about the installation of the chain. It was suggested to take the pull chain up through the next yellow side chain then bring it back and that would tighten better. Before taking this step I recommend taking the chains off and then reinstalling. Please note that it is recommended that you pull forward a few feet in order to let the chains reset and then tighten as needed.

Chains fit perfectly and installed in minutes. Rubber chain adjusters are a great accessory.
Thanks to Kimberly in customer support for getting the right chains and recommending the adjusters.
I'm very happy with the purchase and support from e-trailer and will be purchasing from them again.

2012 Audi Q7
I bought these chains because of the low clearance between my tire sidewalls and the vehicle's front suspension. They worked great for alleviating this issue - there were no issues with clearance. The chains are well made, but they require patience to put on. Be sure that they're are 100% untwisted and laid out before attempting to install; I had a few links twisted the wrong direction (hard to see) and the chain would not stretch around the tire. Once properly and cleanly laid out the install went well. I installed these chains on 275/45/20 tires, and the fit was extremely tight - no need to thread the tensioner links through both eyelets. The rubber bungy barely stretched adequately to reach a suitable attach point - this is okay, just unexpected relative to the instructions packaged with the chains. Oh, be sure to have the vertical chain links 100% aligned in the MIDDLE of the tire before attempting to piece together the yellow sidewall chain on the outside. The chains are straightforward to install, but PLEASE practice in your garage before you need to do so in a snowy location on the side of a highway.

  • Recommended Snow Tire Chains for 235/60R17 Tires
The Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Ladder Pattern - Twist Links - 1 Pair # TC1146 is a confirmed fit for the 235/60r17 tires you referenced. The Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster for Light Trucks - 1 Pair # TCMA2 you will also need to keep these chains tight to your tires. These are more bulky chains than you would typically use on a Saturn Vue, so I recommend using a smaller diameter to allow wheel clearance and prevent possible damage to your wheel wells. We definitely have a variety of chains that are relatively easy to install on the 235/65/16C tires of your 2016 Ford Transit T350 but when it comes to the speed rating that's a pretty hard no-go as both tire chain and vehicle manufacturers agree it's dangerous to drive over 35 mph. In fact, some vehicle owner's manuals and/or States will have different rules about speeds and snow chains. My #1 choice is the Konig Self-Tensioning XG12 Pro - Size 245 # TH01594245 because they they are easy...

I don't have an exact reason as to why self-tensioning tire chains are not recommended for a 2021 Ford Transit T250 per the owner's manual but we have plenty of manual tension options that will work for you depending on your tire size. It looks like there are only two sizes which can use chains for AWD models, 205/75-16 and 235/65-16 so I have attached options for both of these sizes below. Please note, the chains must only be installed on the rear and they must also be class s rated. 235/65-16:...

If your 2007 Saturn Vue's owners manual says to not use snow chains we can't safely recommend you do so. • Low Clearance Tire Chain Recommendation for Jeep Liberty with Tire Size 225/75-16
What your manual is stating is that you need to run tire chains that are low clearance. Meaning they are smaller so that they don't take up as much clearance in the wheel well. For that the easiest option that fits your tire size of 225/75R16 is the part # TH04115245 which installs in a matter of seconds. The option with the best clearance is the K-Summit part # TH02230K66. Or for a budget friendly option that works great the Titan set # TC2318.
