Unfortunately it didn’t arrive yesterday as promised but it did arrive this morning. The installation went well and the key alike option is working flawlessly.

Just got it installed. Took me about 20 minutes. Easy install. The only concern is the handle itself. Its not as sturdy and thick as the OEM handle. It's pretty flimsy and feels like it'll break after a few years of tough use. It actually hurts a bit to open the gate and support it with your fingers unlike the oem handle. otherwide, easy install and easy coding.
I want to make special mention of the sales lady, Cathy T., for her congeniality and knowledge. She made the purchase enjoyable instead of making me feel as if I were dealing with a robot. She is an asset to your company.

Works as intended....very impressed, 15 minutes and presto, I have a locking tail gate, with my back-up camera still intact. I really should have done this earlier, but better late than never I guess.

It's been a year since I installed this device on my 2016 Toyota Truck. It was easy to install. It took me less than 30 minutes. I have had zero problem with it. I also installed a cover after this to protect the things in my bed. I feel very comfortable and secure that my stuff is safe, because of the ability to match the ignition key with the Tailgate lock. Love it!

Easy to install and the best I can code the lock to the truck key that was one of the main reasons I bought it from etrailer, and the pop and lock defender secures my gate and it doesn’t interfere with the gate, the videos are very helpful and easy to follow ; I recommend to buy it from here you won’t be disappointed.
Great replacement super easy to install
Installed on my 2015 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Replaces original fine using the original gasket. Has a few less pins to hold the gasket in place, but its sufficient. Handle is a bit smaller than the original due to the lock, so you have a little less leverage. This install (per instructions) requires you reverse the "wire" on the drivers side so that it does not rub against the locking mechanism, and in this specified alignment, it cannot use the middle support clamp and it rubs on the internal support structure of the tailgate. As a result, it's hard to open the tailgate. As a modification, I left the rod/wire in its original alignment, but placed a small bend in it about two inches or so away from the connection point to the lock (see pictures). This makes the latch work much better as the wire/rod can still be strapped into the middle support!
Installed the latch in less than 10 minutes. It looks great on my 2015 Tacoma. Very happy with my purchase. The best feature is that I can use my truck key and not carry around one extra key just for the lock.

Secure, sturdy and reliable even at 0 deg F. Locks with the same key as the truck. I dont have a tailgate camera so I cant comment on that.
Quick and easy install, the installation video really helped.
Everything works great, giving me a locking bed for my truck. The only thing preventing me from giving a five start rating is the feel of the lock when keyed to lock. My key must be turned al the way to the stop before the lock locks. I am worried that it will fail to lock in the future.
So far, so good. It has only been installed for a short period of time, but the fact that it can use my ignition key, and allows for the backup camera really makes this feel almost like OEM.
I just bought a TopperEZLift Weekender for my 2005 Toyota short bed I wanted to be able to lock up the back tail gate. My son found this locking handle on line for me. It's just what I was looking for simple to install and best of all I could key it with my truck key. Great product will pass on the web site to those looking for an locking tail gate handle. The lock set has been great haven’t had any issues with it. I have pass the product to a couple friends and they both purchased one. The quality is great.
My original Pop & Lock faded a bit after 4 years, so I replaced it with a brand new one. I had added a bed cover and needed to secure the tailgate.
The original worked without issue for 4 years.
This replacement tailgate handle is fantastic. Exact fit and very easy installation and it works great. It’s awesome that it can be keyed to your vehicle key.
Really easy install by following step-by-step video, took about 20 minutes. Keying the lock to match my ignition key was simple,and so far it's working great. I read a few reviews that said the tailgate has to be in locked position in order to remove key, I did not find that to be the case, my key comes out regardless of whether it's locked or unlocked. Great product, highly recommend.

2014 Tacoma. This was a piece of cake to install. The biggest problem was finding the proper torx wrench for the tailgate cover remove - fortunately they were not very tight. The factory backup camera re-installed into new handle just fine after removing knockout plug. The two metal arms installed easily. The re-keying to fit my ignition was painless. I'm impressed. Handle is not as sturdy feeling as original OEM handle but is adequate. Not only is the handle smaller (which is expected) but the plastic feels thinner to me. Overall I'm very happy with this lock so far.

Lock has worked great for the past year. It feels a little loose inside but still works great. The color has faded from the original black to lighter grey but honestly, I expected that in the southern summers we have. Very happy with this product and will certainly purchase again.
