Features to know about

Built for Everyday Hauling: 1,250-lb Wheel Capacity

When you’re towing anything that needs dependable support, this steel wheel is rated for 1,250 lbs and meets Department of Transportation standards. The 12" x 4" rim with a 4 on 4" bolt pattern handles weight confidently without flexing or wobbling under load. Its zero offset design keeps balance consistent and helps the trailer track straight mile after mile.

Corrosion Protection that Lasts: White Powder Coat over E-Coat Primer

Moisture, road salt, and grime can eat through an unprotected wheel fast. This one’s built to resist it all with a white powder coat finish layered over an e-coat primer. The combination locks out rust and keeps the surface smooth and clean longer, even if it spends plenty of time around water or humidity.

Straightforward Fit with Common-Sense Specs: 4 on 4" Bolt Pattern and 2.84" Pilot Diameter

No guesswork on fitment here. The wheel uses a standard 4 on 4" bolt pattern, a 2.84" pilot diameter, and accepts 1/2"-20 lug nuts. These are common specs that make it easy to match up with the right hub and hardware, so you can install it and get rolling without fuss.

Solid Steel Construction for Reliable Performance

This isn’t light-duty material—it’s tough steel built to take regular use and still look good doing it. The classic 8-spoke design adds strength while keeping weight reasonable, giving you confidence that the wheel will stay true whether you’re running empty or fully loaded.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Our Rim on our 36ft Forest River Travel Trailer had a small Crack in it. I really wanted the original Rim. I found it very easily on etrailer.com. I called to verify it was the correct Rim. Noah was extremely helpful and was genuinely concerned I was purchasing the correct Rim. He placed the order over the phone and the order showed up 2 days later on a Saturday to the Campground we were staying at. Thanks Noah for your amazing customer service! The Rim was installed and looks great! We are back to traveling North America! Thanks etrailer & Noah!!!!

by:

The wheel worked exactly as it should. Perfect fit for our trailer. We purchased it to have a second spare for long trips. It saved the day beside a busy windy highway.

I have ordered from etrailer multiple times. Each time I have been very happy with my purchase experience. My items always arrive quickly, and are exactly as shown/advertised.

Whenever I need something related to towing or trailering, this is where I come.

by:

I ordered 7 of these wheels for a restoration of a Compton Brawny Bug. 4 will be used for duallys, 2 for steering, and one spare. I have used these before, and am satisfied with them. Here is a photo of it being delivered. Now to start.

by:

Item was delivered quickly and was well-packaged. It appears to be well-made and attractive. I must also say that I could only find this item (size, #holes, etc.) on etrailer's site, which is my "go-to" place for such trailer-related items.

Had them up to about 85 on the Interstate ( Strictly Passing at those Speeds ) with Speed Rating T Tires ( Stock Tires on the 4x8 ft Trailer was only rated for 45 so I did not want to chance it at those Speeds ) about 1,300 Miles Round Trip. No Problems.....

  • Recommended Tire and Wheel Combo for Tire Size 5.3-12 with Wheel 12" x 4" 4 on 4 bolt patter
Hey Jan, happy to help! Yes, the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire # AM10068 will fit the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20122 . The tire size 5.30-12 is designed to fit 12" diameter wheels that are 4" wide and the Dexstar is a 12" x 4" wheel. As for mounting, we do offer this tire mounted on a wheel. Instead of purchasing the tire and wheel separately, I would recommend a tire/wheel combo like # AM30850 , which includes a 5.30-12 Load Range D tire mounted on a 12" x 4" wheel with a...

  • What is the Speed Rating for the Kenda Tire on Galvanized Wheel # AM30630?
The Kenda Trailer Tire with Galvanized Wheel # AM30630 is a bias tire which has cords inside which run at a 32 degree angle to the direction of travel for a stiffer sidewall than a radial tire. This tire has the standard speed rating of 65 mph. I've added a link to a video review of this wheel/tire combo for you to take a look at.

  • Replacement Tires for Harbor Freight 4x8 Trailer
Hi Jeff; the Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT48012C will fit the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20122 you ordered. This is the same tire size you have now so clearance isn't an issue. It also has the M speed rating for 81 mph. I don't think you're going to find anything that is rated higher in the smaller size. Keep in mind, the trailer itself might not be rated that high. Even if you switch to higher rated tires you may be limited by the max speed of that trailer.

  • Best Replacement 4.80-12 Size Tire for a 2002 Viking Saga Pop-Up Camper
The best 4.80-12 size tire for your 2002 Viking Saga pop-up camper is the Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT48012C because the radial design is better for highway use as it better dissipates heat, it has a load range of C (990 lbs at 90 psi), and a max speed rating of 81 mph. The other tires in this size have a bias design which can be used on the highway but they have a stiffer sidewall which makes it more effective for off-road use. • What is the Difference Between the Dexstar Steel Trailer Wheels # AM20140 and # AM20122
Hey Dave, the difference between the 12 inch Dexter wheels part # AM20140 and # AM20122 is the hole design of the wheel basically. The part # AM20122 has small triangle shaped holes in the wheel whereas the part # AM20140 has small round circles. The round circle design makes it a "mini mod" wheel whereas the small triangles make it a spoke wheel. It's totally personal preference which you like the look of.

  • Recommended Hub Assemblies, Wheels And Tires For 1993 Jayco Popup Camper
The hub and bearing kit I recommend for your Jayco popup camper is part # AKIHUB-440-2-2K. This kit includes the idler hubs, bearings, races, seal, grease cap, and lug nuts. The hub has a 4 on 4 bolt pattern. The hub assembly kit you came from will not work with the spindle size you said you have on your trailer. We also have tire/wheel combos that will work with this hub assembly. The combo I recommend is part # AM31208HWT. This is a 12-inch radial tire/wheel combo with an aluminum wheel....

Yes, 8 inch and 12 inch trailer wheels with 4 bolt holes, like parts # AM20011 and # AM20122 respectively, fit the same 4 on 4 bolt pattern. If you're asking because you're replacing hubs on your trailer then it's not quite as simple. The bolt patterns are still the same, obviously, but an 8 inch wheel is likely not going to fit on a hub and drum use for brakes like a 12 inch wheel is.
