The Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel measures 15" in diameter and 6" wide, giving plenty of support for common trailer tire sizes like 205/75-15 or 225/75-15. 1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 15 inch by 6 inch white modular steel trailer wheel with the 5 on 4.5 inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. The design on is an eight spoke design wheel and the dust wheel does offer excellent corrosion resistance 'cause it uses a two step finishing process, which includes an eco primer and then a white powder coat finish over the wheel. This wheel is a high quality wheel. It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications.
Now if you do notice, there is no center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately. You do want to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole 'cause when you install your center cap, it'll fit through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now this wheel is made in the USA.
A few specs on this, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width. And when you measure the diameter on a wheel, what you're measuring is the inside to inside measurement. Basically, when a tire is put on here, the tire bead seat right here, and that's what you're measuring, so you're gonna be measuring inside to inside for the diameter. So if we take our tape measure, and you can see if we go inside to inside, there's your 15 inch diameter. The width will be the same way.
You're gonna measure inside the inside or bead seat to bead seat. There's your six inch width. Bolt pattern on this is a 5 on 4.5 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this, that's an odd number of lugs. What you'll need to do is pick any one of the holes.
(Jeff clearing throat) And then whichever hole you pick, you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So on this one, if we measured it, it would be 4.5 inches. So that means it's a 5 on 4.5 inch bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,200 pounds. But that's gonna do it for a look at the Dexstar 15 inch by 6 inch white modular steel trailer wheel with the 5 on 4.5 inch bolt pattern.
