When you’re hauling gear that pushes the limits, you want a wheel that’s ready for it. The Taskmaster Steel Modular Trailer Wheel is rated for 1,250 lbs and can handle up to 105 psi with a metal valve stem designed for high-pressure applications. It’s a sturdy match for load range D tires in the 5.30-12 size and gives you the capacity margin you need for real-world towing.
Nothing’s more frustrating than having to constantly check your lug nuts. This wheel uses Improved Torque Retention (ITR) technology — beveled, uncoated stud holes paired with an automotive-rated center disc — to boost clamp force between the wheel and hub. The design helps keep your setup tight and secure even after long hauls.
Rust can ruin a good wheel fast, so this one gets serious protection. The steel wheel goes through a 3-step process that includes a zinc phosphate bath, an acrylic e-coat primer, and a baked-on white powder coat on the outboard side. The inboard side gets a light e-coat to cut friction and reduce flaking while still protecting against corrosion. It’s a finish meant to stay sharp and solid through years of use.
The Taskmaster modular rim uses standard sizing so it fits without fuss. Rim dimensions are 12" diameter x 4" wide with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, a 2.95" pilot diameter, 0 offset, and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts. It meets SAE J1204 standards and includes the valve stem so you can mount up knowing every detail is dialed in.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer. And today, I'm at NATM. And this convention brings a lot of the vendors that we have at etrailer to a convention where we have their booths and their products set up. I had a chance to catch up with quite a few of 'em, so let's take a look at their products a little bit up close and ask some of the questions to those vendors about their products. I'm here with Bill from Taskmaster. Bill, what is Taskmaster Taskmaster is a tire and wheel company.
It was founded in 1985 by Tom Walker. We put trailer tires and wheels into the OE market as well as in the aftermarket. Trailer tires, you know, obviously, trailer's been around for a while. Where did it start and where is it now Some of the first trailers built, most of 'em had used tires on 'em. And as the trailers got bigger and more sophisticated, so did the tires.
From used tires to bias ply tires to some of the state-of-the-art, you know, radials that are put on them today. And so you guys have a few different lines of tires to cover a few different things. So let's take a look at those and break 'em down. Okay, great. So this is our Rambler trailer tire.
This tire is your do-it-all tire. Comes with eight, 32nds of tread. It's a very durable tire. It's made for every one. This is our entry-level tire, but this will do all the same things that any of our tires will do.
So you see you got a side-by-side loaded up, utility trailer, perfect application for it. Bill Yeah, we designed this tire to be used by everyone. Makes sense. This is our Strider trailer tire or our middle tire in our lineup. This tire is designed for just a little bit heavier of an application, big campers, big boats. This tire, it does come with 10, 32nds of tread. This tire is made to haul a heavier load. Brad Makes sense. So if you're loaded up with an RV or a toy hauler or something along those lines, this would be something they'd look at Yeah, with the 10, 32nds of tread versus the eight, 32nds of tread on the Rambler, it's made to just be put in a more using application where it is used more often. Fair, so would this fall into a category too if someone had maybe a light-duty work trailer that they use every day, would this be a good application You could, yep. This tire absolutely could be used every day. Okay. Now, where's the Provider fall in the line The Provider tire is our best-in-class tire. This tire's backed with 20 years of performance. If you're using your trailer every day, if you've got extreme demands on your trailer, this is the tire for you. It was built with the highest level of end user demand in mind. Makes sense, so this is, obviously, having a picture of heavy equipment on here. So this is gonna be high loads, you know, anything heavy equipment, but also you're beating up your trailer, you're using it hard. Yeah, that's right. This is as good as it gets in the trailer tire world. If you're gonna put your trailer under extreme stress and high demand, this is the tire you wanna use. So you guys offer not only tires but also assemblies with the wheel already pre-installed, correct That's right, we can sell tires, we can sell wheels, and we can sell assemblies as you see here. All of our stuff is mounted on match-mounting equipment, state-of-the-art equipment that matches the tire and the wheel together. If you'll see the two points on the tire right there, that's how automotive tires are mounted. So on your personal vehicle, you see that type of thing. We're the only ones in the trailer market that will mount an assembly like that and have the capabilities of doing that. And that's nice too because, you know, say you're just replacing one tire and, you know, instead of having to take that wheel off, take it to a shop to get mounted and balanced, you can just get the assembly. Take a few lug nuts off, pop it back, and you're ready to go. That's right. It can be as easy as that. That's nice. So having those options regardless if you have tires that are worn out or you want whole new assemblies to be able to replace all of 'em, Taskmaster has a whole wide range of tires that you can pick from. I needed another rim for a spare tire. This is the best place I could find to buy one. The price is very competitive. I arrived quickly. It is identical to the ones already on my trailer, right down to the same stickers and even where the stickers are placed... like they came off the same assembly line. It is a heavy steel rim that should last many years. I don't need to post a picture because the one the company posted could be of my rim.

I purchased these wheels because they had a little bit of a different look and I was impressed with the PVD finish information upon receiving the rims. There are numerous chips around the edge of rim typical of what you would expect out of a painted rim, but I thought maybe this PVD would be different.
What really made this a five star is Diana at etrailer, it really made a difference too know that she was trying too see that I got what I needed. I have been getting my trailer ready for our annual trip when I noticed that two of my four tires were once again badly worn. I found I had two bent rims. After getting my new tires from etrailer I discovered that the rims I had which I was going to have them mounted on were badly corroded on the rear side. I called etrailer to asked them if I could get the rims with high pressure stems instead of the standard ones that came with the rims. The woman I spoke to was great (Katie). She looked up the right stems within a minute or so. I also asked her about balancing the tires. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. The Rims and stems came within 6 days, had them mounted and am about to take our RV trailer for a 800 mile trip. Thanks etrailer for all your help!

After placing my order these arrived sooner than the projected date. I had upgraded to a sturdier axle on my trailer and needed more substantial wheels (with a different bolt pattern). Compared to other retailers these were relatively inexpensive, which is exactly what I wanted for my trailer. What else can I say? The wheels on the trailer go round and round....

Problem solved with the zero offset wheels, since the rims on my used trailer were old Chevy wheels and were blowing my tires out by rubbing the inside wheelwell.

Rim arrived in great shape and looks great. I love the coating. This wheel is to replace a missing spare on a used Malibu boat purchase. I couldn’t get myself to just settle for a plain painted wheel even if it is to be used as a spare, this will add about of style without breaking the bank.

All wheels arrived with chips on edges of rims inside and out. These are for a boat trailer so I had to use paint touch up so they will not corrode .Pressed for time so I had to put them on. Wheels should have been packaged better to prevent this from happening.

Lowest prices rims with the highest load rating I could find. Bought these to replace a mix match set that was rusty for a used dump trailer I just bought. Found China tires 225/75/15 load e the red and blue pin stripe really adds to the white color of the rim. I’m right at 100 dollars per wheel tire can’t complain

Very nice powder coating on heavy duty 110psi rated wheels that arrived when promised. For someone looking for a great looking RV wheel without the price of aluminum alloy wheels and much easier to clean these are excellent value in my opinion.
The wheel arrived on time and as advertised. It's a great product, very sturdy wheel. Mounting the tire on it was no trouble. Also customer service has been very attentive for several of my orders now, so kudos for that.
So far so good. Replaced old bent trailer wheels (galvanized spoke type) with these. Read that the modular wheels are a little stronger than the spoke type so giving them a shot. Trailer is 49’x105”, Aluminium/steel, boat type, fifth wheel, with mini spread 6k torsion axles. About 3.6k lbs empty; normally 8~15k lbs loaded. Since it’s setup mini spread the tires scrub quite a bit. Was running E load range 235/85/16’s but switched to F load range, same size (Incredible difference longevity wise/they’ve been great! Hercules H-901). Anyways, I did lots of research and found out that these rims are rated for up to 120psi (tires are 105psi). You can run F range tires on these no-problem. Supplied valve stems are only good for like 80psi (rubber snap in) so I ordered some 120psi (metal bolt in) stems separately. Understand the wheels are still rated for the same amount of weight, but if you’re tired of replacing trailer tires constantly or, like me, have a mini spread or spread axle setup, F load range is the way to go.
Great looking wheels. They came packed well to prevent damage. They look great on the boat trailer. When ordered there was no mention of them being on back order ! Took etrailer a few weeks to get them back in stock. Would have been nice to know that before ordering. Asked for some sort of delay discount? Nope was given the choice to cancel the order or buy some other wheel from them that was disappointing from etrailer and lowered their score for customer service !
