This tire is built to handle long hours on the road. The Kenda Karrier ST185/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire carries a Load Range D rating with an 8-ply construction and a maximum load of 1,710 lbs at 65 psi. With a speed rating of M (81 mph), it’s designed for highway use where heat resistance and stability matter most. Each tire meets DOT specifications, giving you confidence that it’s made for dependable towing mile after mile.
The radial construction features double steel belts and full nylon plies for strength and even tread wear. The computer-generated tread design and premium rubber compound give it excellent traction in wet or dry conditions. Radial cords positioned at 90 degrees to the direction of travel reduce rolling resistance and heat buildup, helping the tire wear slower while maintaining a steady, controlled feel at higher speeds.
Special trailer (ST) tires like this one are made with reinforced sidewalls built to carry heavier loads compared to passenger tires of similar size. That extra stiffness helps the trailer stay stable when loaded or cornering, cutting down on sway while improving tracking behind your tow vehicle. The result is a tire that feels solid, even when you’re carrying gear or cargo over long distances.
The Kenda Karrier ST185/80R13 comes with a 5-year limited warranty and a 1-year worry-free guarantee—if the tire is damaged within the first 12 months, it’s replaced at no charge. That kind of backing shows confidence in its durability and gives you peace of mind when the miles start adding up.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

The tire is still performing to my expectations. I have had no quality issues associated with this product so I am very happy. The last thing I need is to have a break down and end up on the side of the road. Having quality made tires is critical for me.

So far I’ve been happy with my purchase. I’m impressed with the tires performance. One day I will be replacing my Spear tire with the same one, as was mention earlier.
