Question:

We have a 2014 Sun Tracker 18 ft pontoon boat and trailer and have been told the only place we can buy ST185/80R13 tire with rim is at Bass Pro. Is this true? We have been unsuccessful in locating our size at any place other than Bass Pro, but their cost is out of sight and it appears we can get 2 bias tires with rims for less than what BP sells one radial for. We prefer a radial because one of our current tires has a few cracks and our plan was to buy a new spare and put it on trailer and use the one with a few cracks as a spare, but saw where u should not mix radial and bias for long periods of time. Do yall not sell radial with rims in size we need? We could buy 2 of the bias tires with rims and put on our trailer and use the best of the 2 as a spare only. What is your opinion of radial vs bias tires related to wear, warranty, etc.?

The claim that Bass Pro is the only place you can find ST185/80R13 tires may have been true at one time but it's not anymore. The Loadstar ST185/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel - Load Range D # AM3S334 meet all of your specifications except they are bias tires, as you mentioned. It's on a galvanized wheel which are great for a boat trailer like yours and has a 1,660-pound capacity and 81 mph speed rating. It has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern as well.

If you want a set-up that has the radial tire in this size, with an aluminum wheel, we can do that by purchasing the tire and wheel separately, then have them mounted at a local shop. For the tire, you would use # AM10208 which is an ST185/80R13 Radial Load range D. Then you could use any 13" wheel like the # AM20281B.
