box does exactly what’s its ment to do. very pleased. now this is the second box a replacement. the first was so damaged in shipping couldn’t be used. called etrailer explained the the problem they sent me out a new one asap. this one arrived in perfect shape and been using for the last year no problems.

by:

Just what I needed

by:

So far so good. It hides/protects the connections. Much better look. And it's expandable in case you get a little bigger battery.

by:

Fit is excellent, they worked as needed to relocate my batteries effectively.

Continue to work very well. Excellent product

by:

Works great for my remote battery in my equipment trailer.

by:

I think I bought this for a friend. I believe it works fine in his enclosed car trailer.

I bought it for a friend...no problems

by:

Installed with a new DC converter, AGM battery, and new DC outlets and charging station in our popup camper. Perfect fit with the battery and space and once I figured out the strap, I like how it secures the lid and box. Can't wait for our next boondocking adventure! As always, etrailer is the best. Easily changed my order to substitute for the out-of-stock charging station.

by:

worked well for my coleman tent trailer battery.

After a year the box is still going strong. I do t keep it covered from the summer sun or winter snow and it has weathered well.

by:

I ended up installing 2 extra batteries in my camper so I never used this for a battery box, but it makes a great tool box!

by:

Big, strong and versitle. Battery will power Brakes, power lift , winch and breakaway.

by:

Worked well holding size 24, then size 31 replacement. One of the clips holding the lid on doesn’t release easily. Should be able to push in with both hands to release quickly. Takes some manipulation to remove.

by:

Box works as intended but I used sheet metal screws and fender washers to mount it more securely. The plastic footmen loops are good enough to keep the top on

by:

Works great for the larger class batteries. It has a little divider piece so the smaller batterie aren't bouncing around.

by:

For the price, this is the best box..,,looks good, very durable and fit my Forest River excellent....for the best service, parts and knowledgeable people, etrailer is the best

by:

I was sent just the bottom not the top cover

by:

Exactly what the doctor ordered to get power to my 12000lb winch on my custom trailer.

by:

Not yet installed.
Box cracked during
storage,but I will repair it.

by:

Sturdy and holding up well on the front of the trailer.

by:

Good quality. Use it for my winch batteries under a cabinet in my trailer.

by:

Needed just the battery cover as mine blew off somewhere but having the new box and cover with the strap will keep it secure.

by:

Good product considering the price. 1 yr old, stored outside and still looks good

by:

The battery box came quickly and it was just what I needed . I love etrailer because of their thorough description of each product compared to that other online retailer.

by:

Great product.
The battery fit nicely
inside and the strap is a nice addition

by:

Just what I need for my job

by:

Worked perfect for my trailer!

  • Adding a Trailer Battery to an Enclosed Cargo Trailer
Start with mounting a battery. Since the trailer is enclosed, it would be a good idea to mount it on the trailer frame using a battery box like # 329-HM318BKS. Next, you will need to have the right kind of connectors on the truck and trailer. I would use a 7-Way RV style if you do not already have them on the truck and trailer. There is a 12 volt circuit on a 7-Way. You can run a wire from the 12 volt circuit on the trailer side connector to the positive battery terminal. The battery...

In regards to the Snap-Top Battery Box with Strap for Group 24 to Group 31 Batteries part # 329-HM318BKS, the internal length is 14" and the external length is 14.2" which you can see in the photos below.

  • Recommended Battery Box For Tongue Of Trailer
We have an option that will work exactly how you are wanting. I recommend the Snap-Top Battery Box with Strap for Group 24 to Group 31 Batteries - Vented # 329-HM318BKS which can be mounted to the tongue of your trailer and would be perfect for carrying an additional battery. I included a video of the # 329-HM318BKS for you to take a look at.

  • Recommended Battery for Bulldog Winch # 15019
For the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Wire Rope - Roller Fairlead - 4,400 lbs # BDW15019 the battery requirements are simply 12V and exceeding the max power draw of the winch at 340 amps. The recommended battery size from the manufacturer for maximum power is 650 Cold Cranking Amps. Since you will be putting the battery directly next to the winch, I recommend the NOCO Battery Box with Strap # 329-HM318BKS or the Tow-Rax Battery Box - Polished Aluminum # TWSP12BP.

  • Powered Trailer Jack Blows Fuse on 2017 Chevy Suburban
Assuming you had the jack powered directly from the 7-way trailer connector, rather than a trailer mounted battery, you have blown the 12-volt feed fuse to the trailer connector. GM refers to this as 'Trailer Battery' and it's in location 67 in the fuse box under the hood, as shown in the provided diagram. I'd also recommend you check the power supply wire for the jack, as sometimes there will be an inline fuse. For best results, I'd recommend installing a battery on the trailer. You can...

  • Parts Needed to Add Battery to Horse Trailer to Power Trailer Lights
We don't have a specific wiring diagram to add a battery like this but the process isn't overly complicated. You will need a battery box like # 329-HM318BKS along with wire # 12-1-1 to run to each light and a switch # PK34308 to turn the lights on an off unless they have one built in. You can run the power to the lights directly from the battery or add an in-line fuse with # SWC9539. I would also add a junction box # 38656 and tap into the 7-way so you can get a maintenance charge on...

  • Can the Deka Battery Isolator DW08770 Be Used On a Boat
Yes, the Deka Battery Isolator part # DW08770 can be used on a boat to separate the starter and auxiliary battery but you would need to mount it in a location that is least likely to get wet, like in a battery box, the NOCO Snap-Top Battery Box with Strap part # 329-HM318BKS.

  • Adding Interior Lights to Trailer and Keep Battery Charged
The best way to get interior lights in your trailer is to have a dedicated 12 volt battery, and battery box like # 329-HM318BKS mounted to the trailer. This gives you the power needed while you're not hooked to your truck. For lights I recommend LEDs because they require much less power, and last longer than incandescent bulbs. Which lights I recommend depends on how many you want to add and the way you want to mount them. You'll need wire # 12-1-1 and ring terminals # 44-5310A for each...

The Commercial Grade Battery Box # 329-HM485 you found is going to be our only vented battery box which is capable of housing your 2 Group 29 batteries. The internal dimensions for this box are 23" wide, 21" long and 10-5/8" tall. If this is too large of a box you can use separate Battery Boxes # 329-HM318BKS to hold each battery individually.

  • Will a Car Battery Fit in Curt Battery Box for Breakaway Kits C52090
In all likelihood the Curt battery box # C52090 will not be large enough to hold a car battery. This box is only 5-7/8" long x 3-1/2" wide x 5-3/8" tall which is the size of the average 5 amp breakaway battery for a trailer. We do have larger boxes such as # 329-HM318BKS. Inside it is 14" long x 7-1/8" wide x 9-5/8" deep. If you can tell me the size of your battery and where you want to mount it I can make other recommendations.

  • How To Install a Battery On a Trailer for Use with Electric Jack
I have attached a photo for you that shows how a 7-way trailer connector is wired. If you take a look at the trailer side trailer connector you will see a terminal labeled "12V Power". If you were to run a wire part # 10-1-1 (per foot) from this terminal on the 7-way trailer connector to the positive terminal on the battery that would then provide a maintenance charge while the trailer is attached and the vehicle is running or the key is in the ACC position. This will depend on how the...

  • How to use 12V Power Jack With Trailer That Doesnt Have a Battery
Since your trailer doesn't have a battery I am under the assumption that it has a 4-Way flat connection. Rather than installing a battery, battery box, and a 7-way with charge line circuit you can attach the 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # H20044 to the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-5000 and use the vehicle battery to operate the jack. To do this simply connect the black wire of the connector to the black wire of the jack. The white wire of the connector will need...

  • How Does Battery Get Added to Trailer for Powering Interior Lights
Best way would be to run the power wire of your trailer connector to the positive post of a trailer battery and then running the power wire of all of the accessories to the positive post of the battery. That way it's drawing from either source but the battery still gets a maintenance charge when connected to tow vehicle. Basically it's a matter of installing a battery box so that you can securely install a battery and then running the 12 volt acc circuit of your 7-way to the positive post...

  • How To Wire In A Trailer Battery To A Horse Trailer's Electrical Systems
To add in a battery, like the Go Power AGM RV Battery # 34276285, to your horse trailer and have it trickle charge while you tow you'll just need to connect it to the 12v hot lead of your 7-way. There should be a junction box somewhere near the trailer tongue that you can make you connections at. From there you can then run the lights and fans for the trailer directly to the battery or to the 12v hot lead in the junction box. Personally, I'd run the wiring directly to the battery with some...

  • Upgrading Trailer Battery on Horse Trailer from SLA1055 to a Standard 12V Battery Size
It appears you are using a breakaway style battery for your trailer power. If this is correct, you will still need the breakaway battery separate by law, but you can absolutely add a larger battery (often deep cycle) to your trailer. To add that larger standard 12V trailer battery, you will need a location to house it. I'd go with a quality "starting battery" for your winch. The nicest one you can afford and keep it charged up between uses. We do not carry those batteries, but we do carry battery boxes. The Deka Battery Box part # 329-HM318BKS would probably work well for you, but you would have to compare it's inner dimensions to the external dimensions of your battery. This box has inner dimensions of 13-3/8" long x 7" wide x 8" deep. For a good charger I would recommend the CTEK MULTI US 7002 12-Volt...

  • Can Master Lock Electric Trailer Winch # 2953AT Be Powered from SUVs 12V Accessory Outlet
Electric winches such as the Master Lock Electric Trailer Winch # 2953AT can pull significant current when under load. This particular winch draws 20 amps at its rated capacity. An SUV's accessory 12V power outlet cannot deliver the required current to operate a winch at full capacity. These outlets are intended for lower-current-demand items like emergency lights or small air compressors. Optimum winch operation requires a higher-capacity connection directly to a battery, preferably to...
