Question:
I have a sts1290 Coachman camper @ 2650# unloaded 2950 max. We store it in a garage with wheels elevated off floor. We pull it with max rated per sidewall rating pressure 500 mi / year with typical speed of 68 mph so we can stay in right lane with traffic and this year, the fifth year on the tires the right tire blew the sidewall 4 mi into the trip and the left tire blew the tread and disintegrated 400 mi later. The tires were the kenda ST175/80R13. What would you recommend? I see a ST185/80R13 would that help?

The Kenda Karrier ST185/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10208 that you referenced would be a great option for your Coachman. This will fit your current wheels, has a higher weight capacity and speed rating too so it would be less prone to failure. Keep in mind that trailer tires are really only supposed to be used for 6 years at max as the rubber starts to break down and cause a higher likelihood of failure.
