Features to know about

Built to Handle Heavy Loads: 1,250-lb Capacity at 105 psi

The Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire – 5.30-12 – Load Range D is built for serious hauling. With its 8-ply rating and maximum load of 1,250 lbs at 105 psi, this tire gives you a sturdy margin when towing. It’s been rigorously tested to exceed Department of Transportation standards, so it’s ready for real-world trips where strength and reliability count.

Made for Real-World Roads: 65-mph High-Speed Rating

Rated for highway speeds up to 65 mph, the K353 keeps steady on long runs without overheating or squirming under load. It’s designed to hold its shape and maintain traction across varied terrain, delivering confidence whether you’re cruising on smooth pavement or hitting rougher backroads.

Stability on Uneven Ground: Bias-Ply 8-Layer Strength

The Kenda’s bias construction uses durable nylon cords positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle in alternating layers. That crisscross pattern stiffens the sidewalls so the entire tire flexes evenly, giving you stable handling and a smoother feel on uneven surfaces. It’s a simple, proven design that performs when the trail gets bumpy.

Confidence That Lasts: Backed by 5-Year Limited and 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantees

This tire comes with Kenda’s 5-year limited warranty and a unique 1-year worry-free guarantee—if it’s damaged within the first year, it’ll be replaced at no charge. That kind of coverage means you can put real miles on it knowing you’ve got solid support behind every trip.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Veryy easy website to order tires and very fast delivery

by:

Very pleased with shipping and shipping
time on the two 530/12 tires I ordered for my Flagstaff pop-up camping trailer. Wasn't sure how I was going to get them opened up enough to get them seated on my rims but decided to put a 12 inch inner tube I had from a Farmall Cub front tire inside and put just enough air to push them open the width of the rims. Left the tube in a couple days and when I deflated the tube the tires stayed open. Maybe someone else may want to try this. I haven't put them on my trailer yet so don't have a picture. Follow up later.

by:

Tire is used as a spare, have not had to use it so far, thank GOD!
Only issue is installing the tire in the wheel, I took it to a tire shop, and it took 2 employees (who are professional tire guys) and about 20 minutes to remove the old tire and install this one. Not recommending purchasing the tire only if you are a DIY, best to purchase tire with wheel, save the headache.

by:

Received the order today and I must say the ordering, shipping and customer service is outstanding. Now about the product. The galvanized finish on both wheels leaves a lot to be desired. The single tire appears to be slightly deformed but I think that is just from packaging. One of the rims also has a slight bend near the tire bead. The dot code shows that all three tires are at least a year old. I will mount the tires on my trailer next weekend and attempt to have the single tire mounted on my spare wheel. I will give a rating after I see how they work. I'm not trying to be picky but I expected a little better considering they are new.

by:

Tires were as described, delivered on time, and ordering process was easy to use. Would have appreciated a little wider selection of brands and prices for this size/rated tire, but would recommend this company.

Bought a year ago and the tires are holding up great on my pop-up camper.

Much better tires than I had from manfacturer. Greater load capacity and better tread. Shipping was very quick. You cannot buy tires only like these near my location. Very satisfied

What a great company. Spoke with Adam. Ordered to tires and met the threshold for free shipping. Didn't expect them to arrive for several days. Ordered on a Wednesday and the tires arrived Friday morning all the way to North Carolina with free shipping!! Not to mention the tires are fabulous!

Best trailer tires I have had. Still going strong. Great for highway speeds!! I will order again when the time comes. Great company to do business with

by:

Delivered on time as promised. Tires look great, mounted easily. I would purchase again.

by:

The tires were delivered a day of the projected delivery date. That was great. I also ordered a bearing kit which was delivered as well. Unfortunately for me I only ordered one bearing kit, I have two wheels, duh. I will be putting the tires on in the spring, too cold now but I am ready. Great service from a great company. Thanks!!!!

I had the tires mounted last year before any camping was done. My first trip was about 250 miles each way and they held up well. The second trip was about 400 miles each way and they still did well. I was pleased with my purchase. Even the date of manufacture on the tire was only a couple of months old, so I knew they were fresh tires.

by:

Shipping was quick. Packaging was great. I have only used these tires once so far, so dont know about how they will wear, but the load range D runs a lot cooler than the C that I used to buy for the same trailer.

I use these tires on a trailer gathering firewood. I have hauled heavy loads over rough ground and ran at highway speeds on the road This tire WORKS.

by:

The tires have just been installed on our 'SnowBear' trailer, as a result I do not know how they will hold up over time. The 8 ply Kendas (load range D) are replacing Carlisle (load range C). They appear well made, the price was excellent, the shipment arrived very quickly and the customer service was outstanding.

is st145r12 wider than a 5-30-12

Patrick B. profile picture

Patrick B.

9/25/2013

An ST145/XX-R12 measure about 5.71 inches wide. As the name implies, a 5.30-12 is 5.3 inches wide. The difference in width is less than half an inch, but there is a difference you should be aware of.

by:

First they were back-ordered for many months. Winter now in Pa. so boat is in storage & tires won't be installed for months. Concerned about their condition - they are very mis-shapen and crushed somehow. Maybe packaging from manufacturer. They are NOT nice round tires that will go right onto a wheel. We'll see if the tire installer has any issues with that seating the beads and inflating the tires. Looks potentially like an issue to me. They are the correct size.

I am very pleased with the product I received from etrailer. I received a courtesy call from Kelly at etrailer to inform me that the tires I ordered would be about a week late because the item was "out of stock". True to her word the tires shipped on or before her committed date. They arrived and I've already got them mounted waiting to leave for Colorado. Thanks so much.
I will definitely be ordering future items from etrailer.

God bless you and Im praying you have a wonderful day.

Hey David. I can understand where you are coming from, they don't look right. When it comes to bias ply tires this is actually really common because of the way they are made. I have linked a video that talks about this if you would like to take a look at it.

by:

Super fast shipping. Tires look great!!

by:

I would highly recommend etrailer to anyone looking for trailer parts/accessories . The sales representative I dealt with (James Douglas) I found to be very professional , helpful and communicative . A great company to deal with .

by:

Heavy duty tire mounted easily

by:

Ordering process was easy and order processing clearly explained in timely emails.

Order arrived as was told. Tires were correct and I was concerned because they were “squashed “ together by straps leaving them deformed. However, the installation went smoothly and they all hold air!

by:

  • Can a 5.30-12 Size Tire be Replaced with a ST145/R12 Size Tire
Since both a ST145/R12 size tire, like the Kenda Karrier S-Trail # AM10130, and a 5.30-12 size tire, like the Kenda K353 # AM10068, fit a 12 inch wheel, a ST145/R12 size tire can replace a 5.30-12 size tire. Keep in mind that these tires do have slightly different diameters and widths though, so you will want to do some measuring to make sure that the ST145/R12 tire will fit on your trailer. The 5.30-12 tire that you currently have has a section width of 5.3 inches and has a diameter...

Hey Jan, happy to help! Yes, the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire # AM10068 will fit the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20122 . The tire size 5.30-12 is designed to fit 12" diameter wheels that are 4" wide and the Dexstar is a 12" x 4" wheel. As for mounting, we do offer this tire mounted on a wheel. I would recommend staying with the 12 inch 5.30-12 tire, like the Kenda K353 Trailer Tire, item # AM10068, for a couple of reasons. First, going with the larger, higher capacity tire will provide a stiffer ride for your trailer suspension and trailer. This will cause wear on the suspension parts. Next, going with a higher capacity larger wheel and tire than recommended by the manufacturer or axle capacity makes the trailer suspension the weakest link in the system. If a failure occurs...

Excessive heat build up is the number one cause of premature tire wear and failure. Exceeding the weight capacity, not correctly inflating the tires and exceeding the tires speed rating can all cause the temperatures of a tire to spike to unsafe levels.
