This combo is built for the highway. The Kenda Karrier ST145/R12 radial tire has an 8-ply rating and carries up to 1,220 lbs at 65 psi with a speed rating M (81 mph). The matched steel wheel is rated for 1,250 lbs, giving you solid headroom for long-distance or heavy-duty use. The radial design runs cooler than a bias tire, keeping rolling resistance low and tread life high mile after mile.
The 12" x 4" modular steel wheel is protected by a two-step finish that includes an e-coat primer under a black powder coat. That finish makes it tough against moisture, road salt, and grime so corrosion doesn’t take hold. It’s a wheel that stays sharp looking while holding up to real-world towing use year after year.
No hassle getting on the road. This tire comes pre-mounted on its wheel and meets DOT specifications right out of the box. The assembly uses a common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern with a 3.19" pilot diameter, 0 offset, and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts for straightforward fitment.
Kenda’s special trailer radial design combines double steel belts with full nylon plies for durability and steady handling. The computer-generated tread pattern provides reliable traction in wet or dry conditions, keeping the ride smooth and predictable even through long highway hauls.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Bought for a matching spare for my trailer. Competitive price, quick delivery. Also, ordered hub caps in picture. Improves the look.
One tire balanced perfect second tire needed 1.2 oz weight added. I could tell the perfect balanced tire wheel mounting location was not same as the way off 1.2 oz one. I assume the valve stem was not properly aligned with low spot on tire like the good first one was. I am a firm believer that all tires wear better when properly balance.
Great looking rim and definitely a better tire than what comes stock on my trailer. My trailer is brand new but came with Bias tires which I don't trust at all. Radial tires track much better, have a flatter tread which tracks better and are overall a stronger tire in my mind. The trailer came without a spare so I used one of the original Wheel as a spare .

I needed a spare tire for my yacht club trailer, it was an odd size and you guys had it right in line as I browsed down the wheel sizes on your site, including shipping I got it cheaper than going to the local Marine dealer. Now I need summer to get here.

The tires and wheels were exactly what I needed. They are on my home built teardrop trailer and the maiden trip was 7,000 miles from central Texas to far eastern Maine and back. I needed tires for highway speeds and I have had no problems with them at all. I probably have over 10,000 miles on them now and there have been no sign of wear or other damage.
Haven't gotten to take them for a spin yet, but so far I am very pleased. Look great on my trailer

If you're on the fence, just buy them! I got these to replace the bias 4.80-12 tires that came with the trailer. These are light years better. They have a modern automotive style tread, plus they are M speed (81MPH) rated! The gloss black wheels look cool too. They have a much wider and flatter contact pattern with the ground, and while slightly larger diameter, they fit the stock 12" wheel fender perfectly. I've got a lot more peace of mind towing my utility trailer at highway speeds now.

One year later, and these are still great tires. Super smooth and straight at high speeds on the highway. No complaints!

Just installed on a 2026 utility trailer for a 500-mile trip already made the trip with factory bias tires so let's see the difference from what the TPMS displays from the previous bias tires reading to the new radials. Will compare pressure and temp readings. Trailer loaded at start of leg was approx.900 lbs. Final leg of trip only 500 lbs.

Flawless! I love these tires. My boat has never ridden so smooth. Not sure whyvi havnt put these tires on before! I cant even tell the boat is behind the truck! Will buy these in the future.

Way way better looking and riding than the stock tires and rims that came with the trailer. The 81 mph rating is more real world, and the stock ones were down graded to spares, so it's a win win.

What a great way to start a Monday! I am glad your experience was great with us and you got what you needed quickly. That is a really unique looking trailer, is it just a cargo trailer or more of a camper? I haven't seen one of those before, but the black rims pair well with it.
Bought for my 5x8 Wood floor utility trailer from tractor supply. Just got them put on and haven’t had a chance to pull it yet but looks good! Perfect fit and nice tires. You can definitely see the difference.
I have a small single-axle boat trailer and was running into the classic issue of blowing trailer tires on the highway. I understand it's part of owning and operating a trailer every week, but I finally decided to upgrade to larger tires, and it has made an enormous difference. They role smooth and have far greater heat resistance than any of my previous tires. I am able to run at 75mph with a 1,200lbs load on a two hour drive with no issue.
when trailering always run the largest tires you can get away with, itll give you the piece of mind you are looking for when doing longer runs.
