Features to know about

Made for Long Hauls and Heat: Load Range D with 81-mph Speed Rating

This combo is built for the highway. The Kenda Karrier ST145/R12 radial tire has an 8-ply rating and carries up to 1,220 lbs at 65 psi with a speed rating M (81 mph). The matched steel wheel is rated for 1,250 lbs, giving you solid headroom for long-distance or heavy-duty use. The radial design runs cooler than a bias tire, keeping rolling resistance low and tread life high mile after mile.

Built to Last in Any Weather: Black Powder-Coated Steel Wheel

The 12" x 4" modular steel wheel is protected by a two-step finish that includes an e-coat primer under a black powder coat. That finish makes it tough against moisture, road salt, and grime so corrosion doesn’t take hold. It’s a wheel that stays sharp looking while holding up to real-world towing use year after year.

Ready the Moment It Arrives: Tire-and-Wheel Assembly Meets DOT Specs

No hassle getting on the road. This tire comes pre-mounted on its wheel and meets DOT specifications right out of the box. The assembly uses a common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern with a 3.19" pilot diameter, 0 offset, and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts for straightforward fitment.

Confidence in Every Mile: Radial Construction for Smooth Tracking

Kenda’s special trailer radial design combines double steel belts with full nylon plies for durability and steady handling. The computer-generated tread pattern provides reliable traction in wet or dry conditions, keeping the ride smooth and predictable even through long highway hauls.

Extra Peace of Mind: 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

This tire includes a one-year worry-free guarantee—if it’s damaged in any way within the first 12 months, it’s replaced at no charge. Plus, there’s a five-year warranty on the tire itself and a limited one-year warranty on the wheel for dependable backup coverage.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Bought for a matching spare for my trailer. Competitive price, quick delivery. Also, ordered hub caps in picture. Improves the look.

by:

One tire balanced perfect second tire needed 1.2 oz weight added. I could tell the perfect balanced tire wheel mounting location was not same as the way off 1.2 oz one. I assume the valve stem was not properly aligned with low spot on tire like the good first one was. I am a firm believer that all tires wear better when properly balance.

by:

Great looking rim and definitely a better tire than what comes stock on my trailer. My trailer is brand new but came with Bias tires which I don't trust at all. Radial tires track much better, have a flatter tread which tracks better and are overall a stronger tire in my mind. The trailer came without a spare so I used one of the original Wheel as a spare .

by:

You all are the best. Quick shipping and perfect information! Thanks for making things easy!

by:

They came in one piece and the packaging is fantastic thank you!!!!!

by:

Trailer tire and wheel combo works exactly as I expected it would.

by:

I needed a spare tire for my yacht club trailer, it was an odd size and you guys had it right in line as I browsed down the wheel sizes on your site, including shipping I got it cheaper than going to the local Marine dealer. Now I need summer to get here.

Needed a spare since purchase of boat, many different tire a d rim sizes on trailers, found the correct one on your site, hole pattern and dimensions were right on.

Good looking tires and wheels, fast shipping as always. etrailer for all my trailer needs. Put these on a home made kayak trailer.

Tires and wheels have held up great, looking to get several more yrs out of the tires amd wheels will probably last a lifetime. Very satisfied with my purchase of these wheels and tires and will buy another set of needed for future project

by:

The tires and wheels were exactly what I needed. They are on my home built teardrop trailer and the maiden trip was 7,000 miles from central Texas to far eastern Maine and back. I needed tires for highway speeds and I have had no problems with them at all. I probably have over 10,000 miles on them now and there have been no sign of wear or other damage.

by:

Haven't gotten to take them for a spin yet, but so far I am very pleased. Look great on my trailer

Theyre working out great, no issues ????

by:

Great tire! Fast shipping and super easy!! Thank you!

by:

If you're on the fence, just buy them! I got these to replace the bias 4.80-12 tires that came with the trailer. These are light years better. They have a modern automotive style tread, plus they are M speed (81MPH) rated! The gloss black wheels look cool too. They have a much wider and flatter contact pattern with the ground, and while slightly larger diameter, they fit the stock 12" wheel fender perfectly. I've got a lot more peace of mind towing my utility trailer at highway speeds now.

One year later, and these are still great tires. Super smooth and straight at high speeds on the highway. No complaints!

by:

Arrived in 2 days as advertised in fully enclosed shipping boxes. Nice. Thanks.

by:

Just installed on a 2026 utility trailer for a 500-mile trip already made the trip with factory bias tires so let's see the difference from what the TPMS displays from the previous bias tires reading to the new radials. Will compare pressure and temp readings. Trailer loaded at start of leg was approx.900 lbs. Final leg of trip only 500 lbs.

Good quality wheel/tire!

Flawless! I love these tires. My boat has never ridden so smooth. Not sure whyvi havnt put these tires on before! I cant even tell the boat is behind the truck! Will buy these in the future.

by:

Never disappointed with etrailer. The best goods for my trailer and boat needs. Outstanding customer service

by:

Way way better looking and riding than the stock tires and rims that came with the trailer. The 81 mph rating is more real world, and the stock ones were down graded to spares, so it's a win win.

by:

Bought three of these (one for spare) and they are great so far. Peace of mind at highway speeds compared to the Bias tires I had before. This is my third purchase from etrailer and they have been awesome. The expert advice on the website helped me realize I could switch to radial tires. Needed the tires fast and they shipped next day, got here a few days after that. Very satisfied!

by:

Tires fit my Waverunner trailer perfectly. Definitely worth the peace of mind being able keep up with interstate traffic at 75mph-80mph and not worry about a trailer tire blowing out.

by:

Awesome, shipped immediately, arrived right on time. Tires and wheels are perfect fit and look great on trailer

by:

Wheels and tires working perfectly. Ramps are compact and load a Polaris 850 with no issues. Extremely fast shipping and well packaged.

by:

I really enjoy buying from etrailer. The shipping is very fast and easy to track. The tires I purchased will fit my needs perfectly on my boat trailer.

What a great way to start a Monday! I am glad your experience was great with us and you got what you needed quickly. That is a really unique looking trailer, is it just a cargo trailer or more of a camper? I haven't seen one of those before, but the black rims pair well with it.

by:

Bought for my 5x8 Wood floor utility trailer from tractor supply. Just got them put on and haven’t had a chance to pull it yet but looks good! Perfect fit and nice tires. You can definitely see the difference.

by:

I have a small single-axle boat trailer and was running into the classic issue of blowing trailer tires on the highway. I understand it's part of owning and operating a trailer every week, but I finally decided to upgrade to larger tires, and it has made an enormous difference. They role smooth and have far greater heat resistance than any of my previous tires. I am able to run at 75mph with a 1,200lbs load on a two hour drive with no issue.

when trailering always run the largest tires you can get away with, itll give you the piece of mind you are looking for when doing longer runs.

  • Can Malone Microsport Have Tire Swapped to ST145R12 Tire Size
Hey Eric, yes you can replace the wheel/tires of your Malone Microsport part # MPG461GU with the ST145R12 part # AM35354 that you referenced. The sizes are very similar so there would be no clearance issues. Were you wanting to increase speed rating?

  • ST145/R12 Trailer Tire Recommended PSI and Load Guidance
Hi Steve, the safest recommendation is to run your ST145/R12 trailer tire at the maximum cold PSI listed on the tire sidewall, even with a 500 lb load. Trailer tires are designed to carry their rated load at the specified pressure, and running them underinflated can create extra heat and sidewall flex, which is exactly what you want to avoid when trying to prevent a tire failure. For example the Kenda Karrier ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire and Wheel, part # AM35354, specifies 65 PSI at...

I have some good news for you Derek, the hub pilot of trailer wheels is not as important as on most vehicles since smaller trailer wheels like yours are going to be lug centric and not hub centric. So the Kenda Karrier ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire with 12" Black Mod Wheel # AM35354 you found will fit a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern hub with the larger 3.19" pilot hole. Hello Joe, We do not carry anything in that size. When I look up that bolt pattern I see that it is common on some Fords, Lincolns, Volvos, and Jaguars. When it comes to the trailer world it is listed as "very rare". It might be worth updating your hubs and wheel to a more common bolt pattern. For an idler hub you could go with # AKIHUB-545-2-LF-2K, if you have brakes # AKHD-545-2-EZ-2K. For tires and wheels you could go with the Kenda Karrier ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire with 12"...

  • Can I Put a 12" Wheel ST145/R12 on My Malone EcoLight 2-Boat V-Rack Kayak Trailer?
Hello Mr P, I reached out to my contact at Malone, he informed me that on the EcoLight Trailers you cannot go larger than a 8" wheel. With that being said, you cannot put the # AM35354 on your EcoLight. For your Malone EcoLight I recommend the Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range C # AM30070 as we do not have one in black. • Can Tires Be Upgraded to Larger Size on Carry-On Trailer With 4.80-12 Tires
Hi Jefferey; the # AM35354 is only slightly larger so you will probably be able to use it to replace your current tires. However, you will still need to measure for clearance to be sure. This ST145/R12 tire has an outer diameter of 21.3" and 5.7" section width. Your current 4.80-12 tire probably has an outer diameter of 20.5" and a 4.8" section width. This means you would lose .45" of clearance on the inside and .4" on top of the tire. At a minimum you want to have 3" on top and 2" on...

  • Can Steel Powder Coated Wheels Be Used On A Boat Trailer?
Hey Neil, thanks for reaching out. The tire and rim combo # AM35354 is a steel powder coated wheel. It can be used on a boat trailer, but generally we recommend going with either a galvanized or aluminum wheel for boat trailers. The powder coating is durable, but in marine environments, it can and likely will succumb to rust eventually. Galvanized or aluminum wheels are not going to rust, which is why they are more suited for being submerged. If your trailer is only submerged twice a...

Hey Neil. The # AM30861 and # AM35354 are very similar in size. The Kenda Karrier ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire # AM35354 is actually slightly smaller in diameter than the Kenda 5.30-12 tires, so out of the two 12" tires you mentioned, this will be your best bet for an upgrade. I do still suggest that you measure to make 100% sure you will have enough clearance to fit a tire 5.7" wide and 21.3" in diameter.
