How to Measure Wheel Bolt Pattern for Spare Wheel and Tire

Question:

I need a spare tire for my trailer. Im looking at Part number AM30070. My current tire are 4.80-8 Load Range C. How do I determine if the hole pattern in correct? I have 5 bolt holes on my current wheels. Thank you

Hi Richard; with 5 bolt holes you almost certainly have a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern which means the # AM30070 will work for you as a spare. However, double checking is never a bad idea. Since you have an odd number of bolt holes you can use the picture below which explains how to measure. I also attached the corresponding help article it came from, and a link to a printable bolt pattern template you can use as well.

I measured my wheel lugs they are 5 on 4-3/4. Do you have a tire and wheel combination that is a 4.80-8, load range C, 5 on 4-3/4?

@RichardP we do not. Are you sure about that? I would go ahead and measure a few ways since 5 on 4-3/4 is usually found on a 15" wheel or other wheels that are much larger.
