  To replace your existing 6-1/2 inch long straight equalizer you can use the 5-1/2 Inch Long Straight Equalizer for 1-3/4 Inch Double-Eye Springs # TREQR2 with longer shackle straps on your trailer. • Will Trailer Ride Suffer From Using Taller Equalizers
  Since the equalizer height changed by an inch, in order for your suspension to function as designed, you'll need to add 1 inch taller spring hangers to make up for the height difference. Failure to even out that height difference can result in poor ride quality, trailer sway and uneven tire wear.

  The straight equalizers, like the 5-1/2" Long # TREQR2 it sounds you have, don't really have any upgrade options available as those aren't as common as the triangular versions you were talking about. In order to upgrade the suspension on your trailer you could either install a new hanger kit or you could use the outer mounting brackets for the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit # RR23QX to lower those by 2-1/4" so you can then use the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687....

• Equalizer Bushing Size and Compatibility
  The only bushings we have that are 9/16" Inner Diameter, 3/4" Outer Diameter, and 1-3/4" Long are Nylon Bushings item # SP05-060. The bronze bushings from the MoRyde Suspension upgrade kit Item # MR46ZR would not fit in the TruRyde Equalizers item #TREQR2. The bushings are Outer diameter 11/16" and the Inner diameter is 9/16". The TREQR2 equalizers have a 9/16" bolt-hole diameters.

• Tandem Axle Trailer Hanger Kit that Uses Flat Center Equalizers
  Since you have a straight/flat equalizer like the part # TREQR2 you'll want to piece the parts together as we don't have a kit like the part # K71-359-00 with the style equalizer you are looking for. Which this can easily be done with just the hardware kit with the equalizer with part # LC281285.

• Do Hangers Need to be Modified or Replaced When Switching to New Equalizers on Trailer
  You shouldn't need to modify the hangers at all on your trailer when going from a straight equalizer like # TREQR2 to Y-shape units like the ones in the Triple Axle Kit # APTT5 that you were looking at. The shackle strap angle will make up for the difference between the two designs. The difference in height between the front/rear hangers and the middle hangers on your triple axle trailer is not uncommon. This is actually the more standard method than using hangers of all the same length....

• Is There a Suspension Kit with 5-1/2" Long Straight Equalizers
  I do have an option for you though we don't really have all inclusive kits for this. The equalizer you need is the Straight Equalizer for 1-3/4" Double-Eye Springs part # TREQR2 which measures 5-1/2" long. Then for the shoulder bolts you can use the Zinc Shackle Bolt with Locknut for Double-Eye Springs part # TRFA73Z916DLNZ. I have attached our leaf spring and shackle strap selection below as well but I would need to know the length and capacity for the springs and the length for the shackles...
