Thanks so much for stocking these older parts. Many of us can't afford to rebuild the entire suspension system because we can't find parts for the older units. Parts came faster than expected and a perfect fit. Thank you.

by:

The parts fit perfect, etrailer has the parts to take care of all your trailer needs.

by:

The product looks great and will replace the old equalizers from a 70’s horse trailer, but not all the bushings were shipped with the two I got. Mainly the large center 3/4” bushing was missing. Can’t find them on the website so I am gonna have to get resourceful to find the bushing.

It definitely should have the bushing included. We do not have the bushing separate on the site however I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.

Still doing great

I had to replace one on my 2 horse trailer. etrailer made it easy when I ordered them. Replaced both side and everything bolted right up. Used so far for a year with no problems. I replaced all the bolts and sleeves. Perfect time to do it since your tearing into it. It will be trouble free for years. Excellent product.

Perfect fit for my 2 horse trailer. Easy install. Still going strong after 1 year.

by:

Just great

by:

Exactly what I needed. I do wish they could have had the steel liners installed instead of plastic, but since I ordered an upgraded shackle kit as well, was easy to replace them. Great product, fast shipping and exactly what was needed.

by:

Very sturdy. I installed with metal bushings and bolts with zerk fittings for a heavy duty long lasting suspension.

by:

I cut my own firewood every year and get just under 2 cords on this trailer and drag it through the woods without any problems

by:

Part fit perfect. I couldn't find this piece anywhere locally nor could they even order it or find it in their catalogs. Etrailer saved me a lot of hassle and money. Will be ordering more parts from etrailer in the future.

by:

Showed up on time (actually before) and now it's just waiting for me to put it on. Looks like good quality, Great communication.

no problem

by:

Just as described, arrived promptly as always from etrailer.

by:

The products that we ordered are working great. All products were exactly as pictured and fit as they are supposed to. We haven't had any problems with the products.

by:

I have to return this product due to it being way to long. A 6 inch would have been perfect but the 8 inch is just to long and will cause the shackles to bottom out on the frame.

by:

Matched perfect for what we needed!

by:

It was just what I ordered fast and excellent service I'll be buying from them again

by:

Nice product at reasonable price. Fast shipping appreciated.

by:

Good products at good prices still functioning well.

by:

Just what I was looking for. Seller listed all specs before purchase and made it a much easier transaction than other websites.

by:

Good price. Part is good.

  • Individual Parts for Trailer Suspension Hanger Kit APT1 without the Hangers
You can get the parts in hanger kit # APT1 separately but not as a kit minus the hangers. The equalizer is # TREQR83. For shackle straps you will need 8 of # 115052. For shackle bolts and nuts you would need 12 of # 166081. For the 3/4 inch wet bolts, pins, nuts, and grease fittings you would need 2 of # 126A1.

  • Determining Correct Replacement Leaf Spring For Trailer W/ 3000lb Axles and 27" Long Springs
The # SP-210275 you were looking at is for a 3500lb axle and is 27" long measured from center of spring eye to center of spring eye. This is the correct spring for your trailer based on the measurements you provided. The next shortest spring would be 2" shorter which would be much too short. For replacement equalizers we have the # TREQR89 which is 8" long and has a center hole of 9/16", or the # TREQR83 which is 9" long and has a 3/4" center hole. For replacement hardware you can use...

  • Should Nylon Bushings on TruRyde Straight Equalizer Be Greased
Applying some grease like # L11316 to the nylon bushings on the TruRyde Straight Equalizer # TREQR83 is a good idea during installation, as it will both allow the shackle bolts to insert with greater ease and will provide good lubrication for the whole assembly. After the initial install it's recommended to lubricate the equalizers about once every 3 months or 3,000 miles. You can pair the equalizer with some wet bolts like the 3-1/2 inch # 126A1 and a grease gun # L30416 to further simplify...

  • Orientation of the Shackles When Using Straight Equalizer on Trailer Suspension
You would want the shackle straps of your trailer suspension to be both pointing the same direction. The would need to be pointed up on the straight equalizer part # TREQR83. I attached a picture that shows how the straps should orientate with the equalizer. Having one up and one down would mean that the equalizer would be angled and wouldn't be installed correctly. Sometimes the shackles can flip themselves up like this, but the equalizer wouldn't want to function properly and most likely...

  • Trailer Axle/Suspension System for Off Road 5 by 8 Trailer for Ground Clearance
The best suspensions system I could recommend for your offroad trailer that you plan to run big tires on would be the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR35HDS02. This has a 4 inch lift built in to it for better ground clearance, doesn't have an axle that runs under the trailer for better ground clearance as well, is set up specifically for wide tires, and has a 2,000 lb capacity. Without knowing exactly what tire size you have and your other trailer dimensions its hard...

  • Possible Replacement Trailer Bushing for 3/4inch ID X 7/8inch OD
Since the size you listed isn't a standard trailer suspension bushing you most likely are in need of a 9/16 inner diameter, 7/8 outer diameter bushing like part # TRBU11568.

  • Availability of a 12 Inch Long Trailer Suspension Equalizer
For double eye springs, the longest I could find was the 8 inch # TREQR83, or # TREQR89. But, for slipper springs, there are some longer options. Closest to 12 inches we have the 11-1/2 inch # TREQ4541. You will want to be careful when moving axles because if they are too far apart, one set of wheels could drag the ground as you turn. It could also change the tongue weight of the trailer and you will need to account for any changes made when towing. There could be additional different...

  • Equalizers Needed for Blue Ridge Fifth Wheel Trailer
When replacing equalizers, the length of the new equalizers needs to match that of the existing equalizers as closely as possible. The length of an equalizer is measured from center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole. Another measurement that needs to be taken into consideration is the height of the equalizer. The height of the new equilizer can be slightly different than the current height, but it should still try to be close to the existing equalizers' height. I have attached a diagram...

  • Why Did My Shackle Flip On My Tandem Axle Utility Trailer?
What most likely occurred when you were driving on the bumpy road with no weight on your utility trailer is the trailer bounced enough to upset the suspension and after it landed it caused the shackle to flip. This tends to happen a lot with trailers that carry a large amount of weight as their suspension is very ridged and the trailer bounces more than absorbs shock when it is empty. Since you just recently changed out all your nylon bushings your suspension is more prone to articulate...
