Shackle link helps connect double-eye leaf spring to rear hanger or equalizer on trailer suspension systems. Shackling the 2 components together allows the necessary pivot of the springs. Measures 2-5/8" from center of hole to center of hole.

Today we're going to be taking a look at a shackle strap. This is designed to connect double eye leaf springs to a rear hanger of the single axle trailer or to an equalizer of a multi axle trailer. This simply allows for the necessary pivot of the springs for an evenly distributed load between the axles and a smooth ride for the trailer. This is a zinc plated steel construction. It's a nice heavy duty design, and it's corrosion resistant so it's great for boat trailers or snow mobile trailers. One shackle strap is included. The length measurement that we have from the center of one hole to the center of the other is going to measure 2 5/8".
Overall length is pretty close to 4". The width is 1 1/4". Thickness is about 1/4". Then the diameter of each hole, that's going to have a diameter of 9/16". That's going to do it for today's look at the steel zinc plated shackle strap..

The galvanized coating is probably a little thick as all but one of the bolt holes are too tight for the bolt to go through it. I will drill them out with a 9/16" and they should be fine.

I ordered and paid 2 day shipping from etrailer, I was told the items were in stock. I placed the order on Thursday. I received 1/2 the order. etrailer decided to wait until Monday to ship the other 1/2 and said that 2 day from is from when we ship. They talk you into faster shipping then sit on the order then say that's 2 day shipping. I'll order elsewhere next time. etrailer are scam artist.
