Thanks for the prompt delivery and all the emails notifying me of the status of my order. Hitch is beautiful highly recommended.

Easy time to install. and easy setup. Fast shipping. Installed the product in time quoted. Now have to figure out on what to pull.

2011 Ford Edge

I'm really happy with this hitch. I have a 2011 Edge Sport and was initially concerned about how this would work out. I did not have to trim the fascia to install the hitch, as I just deflected the fascia upwards. With design of the center section having a non-shiny black texture with fins, it looks okay to have the gentle upwards curve in the middle. The rest of painted fascia is not deflected.

Best part is I can take off the hitch when I turn in my lease and have no damage to the facia

by:

Quick delivery. Easy install. Took longer than expected though, as I do not have a vehicle lift and spent this time on my back.
Love the instructional videos on the website was a big help.
Looks great. Now I just have to install the electrical harness 118551 and I will be ready to tow!! Thanks Etrailer.

by:
2008 Ford Edge

The hitch fit great...It will take longer if you have to have to do it on your back and not a lift....They say to use a 17/32nd drill bit but a 9/16th works a little better...Overall I am happy and I did order the light kit...THANKS AND i WILL ORDER WITH YOU AGAIN

2013 Ford Edge

This is the first Curt hitch I've installed; my experience is with other brands thus far. I was very impressed by the quality of most of the welds, the coating on the hitch, and the hardware kit. Additionally, fishing bolts through a frame is typically time consuming and frustrating - but the fish wire that came with this kit was simply awesome. The Ford Edge doesn't have a lot of space for a hitch, and thankfully the fit of the Curt hitch was excellent and provided around 3/8" - 1/2" clearance to the exhaust system. etrailer.com had the hitch on my doorstep 2 days after I ordered! Very impressed overall with the transaction and the product.

I'm sending you some pictures of the hitch installation on my 2011 Ford Edge

by:
2014 Ford Edge

This went it flawlessly. I was able to get it installed with the rear of the car on ramps. I did everything that the instructions suggested but I was able to get the hitch installed without dropping the entire exhaust. I disconnected the drivers side rubber hanger which gave me enough room to install it.

by:
2010 Ford Edge

Hitch arrived on time and in good condition. The only trouble I had was determining which holes in the frame to pull the bolts through. I looked at the hitch and it appeared to me that the rear hole was offset and since there are three holes in each frame rail I assumed that the rear bolt went into the outer hole. WRONG. Both bolts go straight in line with each other, into the two holes in the frame that are closest to the muffler. Once I discovered that I had to move one bolt over about 3/4 of an inch into the correct hole but I was able to do it rather easily.

I used a floor jack to raise the hitch up into place which means I didn't need another person to help.

My only complaint was with the "etrailer.com" sticker on the back of the hitch. Whoever put it on must have been in a contest to see who could put it on the crookedest. I think he won. I'm going to peel it off because it really looks bad.

The paint still looks good and the hitch works like it should. Good sturdy hitch.

by:
2009 Ford Edge

The hitch arrived with the light kit. The hitch was packaged very well with the light kit inside. The hitch was easy to install and looks like a professional installation. The most difficult part of the installation was routing the power wire from the battery, but after a little time it has worked flawlessly since the installation. I will most definitely recommend trailer to everyone I know.(See attached picture!)

2012 Ford Edge

Mostly easy to install. The video and instructions are great until it came time to fish the carriage bolts (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). The video shows fishing from the side of the frame rails which our 2012 is sealed off. There was a reviewer that recommended taking the tail lights, bumper cover, bumper off, that should be steps 2, 3 and 4 after dropping the muffler. You don't even need the fish wires with the bumper off. Although when replacing the bumper cover, pay more attention to the center anchor of the bumper cover than I did. All in all though, this was an easy install. If I had to do it again, with an extra set of hands, can be done easily in an hour ... the second time, without the wiring. Attached is a mostly complete installation.

2014 Ford Edge

Great solid construction and very appealing installed on our 2014 Edge. I've seen many other types of hitches in the road and by far this is the cleanest looking one. I did have to mount my plug adapter on an angle but feel it doesn't take away from attractiveness of hitch. Even after a year of regular use, has minuscule amount of rust just around where the ball mount attaches. clean it up a bit and touch it up with a little gloss paint and looks good as new. Would highly recommend this hitch to others.

by:
Lincoln MKX

Great product and support from etrailer. I ordered the hitch for my Lincoln MKX and installed it myself. I followed the etrailer video, took my time and had it installed in a few hours. No problem. Hitch is high quality and performing top notch. I also ordered and installed the blue-ox tow package, brake system and a wiring package on my MKX. All excellent. Highly recommended.

by:

Very pleased with this hitch. Install instructions were right on. After one New England winter, hitch and hardware are still like new.

by:
2010 Ford Edge

Great Price! Shipping was super fast. I ordered on Tuesday at 2pm and the hitch was sitting in my garage on Thursday by noon. Installation was easy thanks to the how to video on your site. I was a little apprehensive about having to lower my exhaust and drill two holes but it was smooth and easy. The fish wires to pull the bolts through the frame are genius and made an impossible task simple. The Curt hitch looks great on my 2010 Ford Edge. I towed my boat with it the next day and it was smooth sailing.

by:
2013 Ford Edge

I was concerned about how this was going to fit on my 2013 Edge Sport, but it went in really well with a very minor trim on the lower plastic. I don't imagine it will ever be removed, so I went ahead and trimmed the plastic for it pushed it up a good 2 inches and I didn't want to risk deforming it elsewhere. It is a really a great hitch, installed easily, probably overkill for this vehicle, definitely a solid unit.

by:
2013 Ford Edge

The install video for this hitch indicates that routing the carriage bolts through the end of the frame rail is easy. On my installation this was not the case at all, and was virtually impossible without removing the rear bumper cover and bumper itself. Once the taillights, bumper cover and bumper itself were removed the installation of the mounting bolts was very easy. I defiantly recommend having a second set of hands for installing the hitch to the bolts, and the use of a floor jack is also recommended. Once installed the hitch looks great and is very solid. Only 4 stars because this did not go as the video shows.

2013 Ford Edge

2010 Ford Edge

Just wanted to say thanks for the awesome site and service.
I just installed it on my ford 2010 edge and everything went smoothly. It took me about 1.5hrs to install. The exhaust was very easy. Getting the screws in were a bit trick especially the 3rd ones but manageable.
At the end it looked perfect. I got my sister to buy one for her Honda Odessey.
Thank u eTrailor ur videos were invaluable.

by:
2007 Ford Edge

Everything fit nice. The only issue was the 17/32 drill bit required. [online] what were you thinking. That bit is so random and hard to find. I ended up using a 9/16 and didn't need to ream the hole. The zip ties were a friends idea, and it helped hold it in place while since it was only me and my 17yr old niece doing the install.

by:
2014 Ford Edge

Following the online video, flawless install! Looks great & hidden well on our Sport! I used some threadlocker on the nuts, otherwise did just as instructed in video. Don't really think we will PULL anything, more for luggage. That way we have room for our dogs when we travel. Piece of advice, have vehicle washed b4 install. As not to "eat" soo much dirt.

  • Front Bolt Hole Measurement for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 13067
Hey Msewell, I took a trip to the warehouse and pulled down one of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13067 and measured 40" from center to center on the front bolt holes. If yours is different, then it would sound like you received a bent one and would need to follow up with our customer service team to get a return going. In order to tow a trailer with 2 jet skis, you will need the weight capacity a Class III hitch offers. I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver as this hitch will not be as visible from above in comparison to the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver. The Draw-Tite Class III hitch is rated for 4000 lbs. of gross trailer weight (GTW) and 400 lbs. of tongue...

  • Trailer Hitch & Wiring for 2014 Ford Edge
Both Draw-Tite and Curt hitches are good quality products. While one given hitch fit may favor one brand over the other in total they both offer excellent products. Curt hitches can sometimes have a nicer powder coat finish, and since they are made in the USA they do offer that appeal. Of the options available I suggest the Draw-Tite 2-inch Class III hitch # 75992 for its lower price and freedom from the Curt requirement of using a support strap with non-trailer loads like bike racks....

Both hitches are Class III rated and have the 2 inch opening at the hitch. Both the Curt and Draw-Tite Hitches have a gross trailer weight rating of 4,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 400 lbs. Both the Curt and Draw-Tite Hitch have limited life lifetime warranties. Of these two, I recommend the Draw-Tite hitch over the Curt for two reasons....

  • Need Spacer Block to Install Used Trailer Hitch on 2008 Ford Edge
We don't have the exact spacer block that would've been included with the # C13067 hitch but the # RP3022 comes very close. The block is a little narrower, and the hole is centered rather than being on one end. This means that the block may try to spin once the bolt is being tightened. If this happens, use an impact wrench. The impact wrench will spin fast enough to prevent the block from spinning. It might take a minute or so, but the bolt will tighten. You'd also need a few bolt leaders,...

  • Why Can't I Find a Higher Capacity Hitch for 2011 Ford Edge
After taking a look at the owner's manual for a 2011 Ford Edge, I found that the largest trailer that could be towed with this vehicle would be one weighing 3,500 lbs and this is only for the AWD 3.5L Class II (lower capacities are listed for the others). The highest capacity hitch that is offered for the Edge is one with a 4,000 lb towing capacity like the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C13067. 4,000 lbs already exceeds the vehicle's towing capacity so this is why manufacturers do not offer an...

We carry 2 trailer hitch receivers to fit your 2012 Ford Edge; the Curt part # C13067 and the Draw-Tite part # 75728. Between them I prefer the Draw-Tite simply for aesthetics.
