2010 Ford Edge

Hitch arrived on time and in good condition. The only trouble I had was determining which holes in the frame to pull the bolts through. I looked at the hitch and it appeared to me that the rear hole was offset and since there are three holes in each frame rail I assumed that the rear bolt went into the outer hole. WRONG. Both bolts go straight in line with each other, into the two holes in the frame that are closest to the muffler. Once I discovered that I had to move one bolt over about 3/4 of an inch into the correct hole but I was able to do it rather easily.

I used a floor jack to raise the hitch up into place which means I didn't need another person to help.

My only complaint was with the "" sticker on the back of the hitch. Whoever put it on must have been in a contest to see who could put it on the crookedest. I think he won. I'm going to peel it off because it really looks bad.

The paint still looks good and the hitch works like it should. Good sturdy hitch.

2012 Ford Edge

Mostly easy to install. The video and instructions are great until it came time to fish the carriage bolts (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). The video shows fishing from the side of the frame rails which our 2012 is sealed off. There was a reviewer that recommended taking the tail lights, bumper cover, bumper off, that should be steps 2, 3 and 4 after dropping the muffler. You don't even need the fish wires with the bumper off. Although when replacing the bumper cover, pay more attention to the center anchor of the bumper cover than I did. All in all though, this was an easy install. If I had to do it again, with an extra set of hands, can be done easily in an hour ... the second time, without the wiring. Attached is a mostly complete installation.

2014 Ford Edge

Great solid construction and very appealing installed on our 2014 Edge. I've seen many other types of hitches in the road and by far this is the cleanest looking one. I did have to mount my plug adapter on an angle but feel it doesn't take away from attractiveness of hitch. Even after a year of regular use, has minuscule amount of rust just around where the ball mount attaches. clean it up a bit and touch it up with a little gloss paint and looks good as new. Would highly recommend this hitch to others.

Lincoln MKX

Great product and support from etrailer. I ordered the hitch for my Lincoln MKX and installed it myself. I followed the etrailer video, took my time and had it installed in a few hours. No problem. Hitch is high quality and performing top notch. I also ordered and installed the blue-ox tow package, brake system and a wiring package on my MKX. All excellent. Highly recommended.

Perfect for my family! I needed that extra room to carry more for trips and it's perfect.(3 kids 3 dogs and 2 adults) It's very sturdy and is padded on the hitch so it's quiet when it's windy or bumpy! Great product! Would very much recommend.

2009 Ford Edge

The hitch arrived with the light kit. The hitch was packaged very well with the light kit inside. The hitch was easy to install and looks like a professional installation. The most difficult part of the installation was routing the power wire from the battery, but after a little time it has worked flawlessly since the installation. I will most definitely recommend trailer to everyone I know.(See attached picture!)

Hitch works great-the light kit works good as well. Was one of the easiest hitches to install! I will buy from you again when I need a hitch!

2013 Lincoln MKX

E Trailer is The Best. After watching a video it was so easy to install my hitch.
I also purchased a Trule bike rack and am very happy with it.

2014 Ford Edge

Following the online video, flawless install! Looks great & hidden well on our Sport! I used some threadlocker on the nuts, otherwise did just as instructed in video. Don't really think we will PULL anything, more for luggage. That way we have room for our dogs when we travel. Piece of advice, have vehicle washed b4 install. As not to "eat" soo much dirt.

I have purchased several hitches from your company. Always satisfied with product. Only complaint this time was packaging. Reciever was poking out of bottom of box putting scratches in it. Fortunately it will be hidden under car.

Works great! No issues.

Great service. Complete w/ east instruc tions

2010 Ford Edge

Great Price! Shipping was super fast. I ordered on Tuesday at 2pm and the hitch was sitting in my garage on Thursday by noon. Installation was easy thanks to the how to video on your site. I was a little apprehensive about having to lower my exhaust and drill two holes but it was smooth and easy. The fish wires to pull the bolts through the frame are genius and made an impossible task simple. The Curt hitch looks great on my 2010 Ford Edge. I towed my boat with it the next day and it was smooth sailing.

2013 Ford Edge

The install video for this hitch indicates that routing the carriage bolts through the end of the frame rail is easy. On my installation this was not the case at all, and was virtually impossible without removing the rear bumper cover and bumper itself. Once the taillights, bumper cover and bumper itself were removed the installation of the mounting bolts was very easy. I defiantly recommend having a second set of hands for installing the hitch to the bolts, and the use of a floor jack is also recommended. Once installed the hitch looks great and is very solid. Only 4 stars because this did not go as the video shows.

2013 Ford Edge

I was concerned about how this was going to fit on my 2013 Edge Sport, but it went in really well with a very minor trim on the lower plastic. I don't imagine it will ever be removed, so I went ahead and trimmed the plastic for it pushed it up a good 2 inches and I didn't want to risk deforming it elsewhere. It is a really a great hitch, installed easily, probably overkill for this vehicle, definitely a solid unit.

2013 Ford Edge

Great product for the do it yourselfer, installed in a Couple hours no problems at all. Another couple hours for the wiring harness, fit beautifully. I would highly recommend this product.

2010 Ford Edge

Just wanted to say thanks for the awesome site and service.
I just installed it on my ford 2010 edge and everything went smoothly. It took me about 1.5hrs to install. The exhaust was very easy. Getting the screws in were a bit trick especially the 3rd ones but manageable.
At the end it looked perfect. I got my sister to buy one for her Honda Odessey.
Thank u eTrailor ur videos were invaluable.

A year later, and all is good! Absolutely no complaints.

2013 Ford Edge

Ordered this product and installed in my garage with basic tools, by myself. The instructional videos online are spot on, to the point, and very easy to follow. Shipping and packing came as promised with no issues. I will for sure use this company and its products again.

Thank you

2007 Lincoln MKX

Trailer hitch would have worked but my 2007 Lincoln MKX has a fuel tank fill line that runs across the frame where the hitch attaches so I was unable to install the hitch without altering the fuel fill line. Pretty disappointed
Russell Bryan

The hitch should not come in contact with the fuel line. This usually occurs if the hitch is installed to far forward on the Lincoln MKX. The notch in the hitch should be over the seam at the end of the frame. The rear most hole needs to be drilled.

2008 Lincoln MKX

Exactly what I needed. Customer service was helpful. Installed as expected. I would recommend for 2008 MKX.

2008 Ford Edge

Does what it says it does. Works great for my dirtbike and carrier. Install was a bit harder than anticipated, but all in all it was a perfect fit for my 2008 edge.

The trailer hitch and harness I bought are what I would have expected. This gets 5 stars because of the "how to" videos. Unbelievable step by step video guide to install made this project one of the easiest things I've done.

Since installing it, I've pulled a couple trailers and have had no trouble. The guy who installed it said he had to drill a couple holes that took a little more time, but it's solid. One thing we noticed, some of the decals on the hitch are upside down. Obviously it doesn't affect the quality, just hard to advertise it. lol

Good video on installation. Made it very easy. Super service from etrailer.

Great product. I like this over the others because it does hang down. You don’t lose departure angle versus the others but it also tends to protect the muffler if anything strikes that area. Also, no need to drop the muffler to install. Can be done easily but do need to push it slightly To make room for the drill to drill the holes required. 2nd pair of hands is enough for that. Pictured with 1up installed.

2013 Lincoln MKX

I received and installed this 2" hitch on my 2013 Lincoln MKX. It is a very well built hitch and fit perfectly on the car. I did have a lift so it was much easier to install but the video by etrailer was excellent as a guide. I use the hitch for a bike rack right now but may in the future decide to tow a small trailer. I have every confidence that the hitch will serve me well.

The hitch is still in great shape. Im very satisfied with this purchase. Thanks.

  • Can Curt Trailer Hitch C13067 on a 2013 Ford Edge Sport Support 375 Pounds of Scooter and Carrier
Curt trailer hitch # C13067 is rated for 400 pounds tongue weight. Since the combined weight of the scooter and carrier is 275 pounds the hitch has more than enough capacity for this application. But you also have to look at the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle. It looks like at most the 2013 Ford Edge can have a tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. • Why Can't I Find a Higher Capacity Hitch for 2011 Ford Edge
