  • Which Replacement Equalizer and Shackles for 2004 Carson Dump Trailer with Axles 34" Apart
In addition to the axle spacing, the best way to choose the appropriate equalizer replacement is by measuring how wide your current equalizer is when measured between the two side bolt holes, center on center; as long as you keep everything relatively close in length compared to the old parts, the geometry of your suspension system won't be thrown off. As long as your existing equalizer is 5-3/4" wide and your shackle straps are 2-1/4" long from bolt eye center to bolt eye center then...

  • How to Find Replacement Leaf Springs and Shackles for 1967 Aristocrat Camper
Finding replacement leaf springs for your 1967 Aristocrat camper will require some more information. You will need your axle capacity, current leaf spring length, and the shackle length. If you don't know your axle capacity, try checking the axle tag to see if it is listed. For your leaf spring measurement, we are measuring from spring eye to spring eye. For the shackles measure center hole to center hole. For example, if you have a 3,500 lb axle with a 27" leaf spring measurement you...

  • What Wet Bolt Kits Work With Road Armor Equalizers LC696740
For the Road Armor Equalizers # LC696740 you're going to install on your trailer, you don't have to install the premium MORryde Wet Bolt Kit # MR76ZR you were looking at if you don't want to spend that much, you could go with the Lippert version # LC64FR instead, but you'll also need (2) of the bronze bushing kits # K71-291-00 to replace the nylon bushings in your leaf springs. The MORryde kit is much more heavy duty, and includes these bushings already so it's a bit more expensive but...

  • Replacement Shackles, Bolts, Bushings, and Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailer
Although we do have 1/2" replacement bolts, there are no kits that include them. However, we can piece everything together. For a 1/2" bolt we have the # ABS74FR and for a 9/16" the # 9163B. Assuming an 11/16" outer diameter you can use the # TRBU11506 for a nylon bushing with a 1/2" inner diameter and # 721590 for 9/16" ID. You will need to make sure your bushings match the outer diameter. You will also need to measure your shackles to get the right shackle length. This measurement...

  • Determining Correct Replacement Shackle Straps For 2010 Cruiser RV Shadow Cruise 18' Travel Trailer
Thank you for providing all of that information! The correct replacement shackle straps for your 2010 Cruiser RV Shadow Cruiser 18' Travel Trailer is the Replacement Standard Shackle Link # LC122487 which measures 2-1/4" center to center of the 9/16" holes so it will be right at 1/8" shorter than your current shackle straps, but is the closest option and will work perfectly. I included a video of the # LC122487 for you to take a look at.

  • Replacement Equalizers and Wet Bolt Kit For a Tandem Axle Utility Trailer
Your tandem axle utility trailer will likely have an equalizer like the Curved Equalizer # TREQ104. These would have been held in place by 3" Shackle Bolts # 166081 and Nylon Bushings # 721590 and Shackle Links # LC122487 on the ends of the equalizer. The best upgrade you can do is to replace the equalizer and all mounting hardware with the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00. This kit has an equalizer that is designed to replace the curved equalizer with a width of 5-1/4" to...

  • Determining Which Equalizers, Shackles, and Wet Bolts Fit Trailer W/ Squeaking Suspension
I would be happy to walk you through how to determine which replacement components you will need, but you will need to take a few measurements of the components on your trailer. First the # 013-144-03 you were looking at measures 7-3/4" from center to center of the horizontal mounting holes as shown in the included diagram. As long as this matches your current equalizers this would be a great replacement option. Moving on to the shackles you will need to measure center to center of the...

  • How to Lower Height of Single Axle Trailer With Leaf Springs
The shortest shackle length is going to be 2-1/4" like the # LC122487. As for removing a leaf or two from your leaf spring, I would not recommend doing this. It will lower the weight capacity of your leaf spring and also require some modifications. You also would not be able to remove the leaf running from the hanger to the shackle strap so this would have no impact on the height of your trailer. One possible option would be to get shorter hangers. It doesn't look like you could get any...

The Replacement Standard Shackle Link - 2-1/4" Long - Zinc - Qty 1 # LC122487 you were looking at are 3/16" thick. Instead you will need the Replacement Shackle Strap - 2-1/4" Long # 18-11GALV which are still 2-1/4" long but have the 1/4" thickness you are wanting. I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.

  • Are Shorter Shackles To Use Road Armor Equalizer LC696740 To Replace 5-1/2" Long Equalizer?
The 2-1/4" shackles you currently have are the shortest currently available, but don't worry, you wont have any issues with the increased 1/2" length of the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit - Tandem Axle # LC696740. This equates to only a 1/4" increase on each side and will not affect your suspension geometry. If your current shackles and bolts are in good shape you can reuse them, or if they are in need of replacement I recommend the 8 of the Replacement Standard Shackle Link...

  • Troubleshooting Tandem Axle Trailer Leaf Springs Hitting Trailer Frame at Equalizers
It does look like you have shackle straps that are to long and possibly worn out bushings. You can replace your shackles with the 2-1/4" Shackle # LC122487. You will need 8 of these for the entire trailer. I would recommend pulling a couple of the Shackle Bolts # TRFA73Z916DLNZ to determine if they or the Nylon Bushings # TRBU11566 are worn and causing extra clearance which may explain if this is something that just started happening recently. You will need 14 of the bushings and 8 bolt...

  • Are Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Good Replacements For 6 Inch Wide Triangular Equalizers
So based on the measurements you mentioned, the equalizer you have now is likely the Triangular Equalizer # TREQ310, and for that the best option for an equalizer upgrade kit is definitely the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit # LC696740. • Replacement Leaf Springs for Single Axle Boat Trailer
Hey Rick! The best way to find replacement leaf springs is using your current leaf spring measurement and your axle capacity. Did you measure spring eye to spring eye or did you take the flat measurement? I attached an article below which explains both. Either way, 27" would be too long for a replacement and cause problems. If your current leaf springs are flattened out I would expect something like the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8" Long # e54SR to work....
