A solid 2" x 2" receiver opens the door to a huge range of accessories. With a Class III rating, 3,500 lbs maximum gross trailer weight, and 350 lbs tongue weight, this hitch is built for small campers, boats, or cargo trays. It’s perfect for hauling bikes, handling a light trailer, or carrying extra storage without needing a bigger vehicle.
This hitch is fully welded and bolts right onto the frame — no welding or drilling required. The precision, robotic welds keep things strong and properly aligned so installation goes smoothly. It comes with all the mounting hardware and instructions you need to get it done at home using standard tools.
The gloss black powder coat isn’t just for looks — it’s layered over a protective base coat that holds up against rust and road grime. The square-tube design gives it a clean, sturdy profile that blends well under the bumper while standing up to years of towing, weather, and regular use.
Whether you’re hooking up a small trailer with a ball mount or loading bikes on a rack, this hitch fits the standard gear most drivers already use. Ball mount, pin, and clip are sold separately, so you can choose the setup that fits your needs best.

Super satisfied! Not only has the hitch worked without issue, it took a direct rear impact from a 1 ton diesel pickup truck and saved my car from being totaled! No structural damage to my car at all, just a bent tailgate and messed up bumper cover!

Thank you for your interest in my satisfaction! I find it hard to believe you can follow up on every purchase made online but I feel good that you are asking for my opinion.Let me assure you that I am completely, 100 satisfied with the Curt hitch and wiring harness that I bought. It was a piece of cake to install ok, Im a mechanic and it is probably stronger than the car I installed it on. I have pulled my trailer with complete confidence and am delighted in the products you offer.Thank you!

My son has used the hitch to tow a trailer from Ohio to Texas and back again. It really is a great hitch at a great price.

Jared, thank you for pointing this out to us - we are currently working on having the instructions clarified. With the kit, there are two different length bolts. For the 2 rear-most attaching points which are closest to the bumper, you should be using the square hole spacer along with the 1-3/4-inch carriage bolt. However, for the 2 forward attaching points which are the furthest away from the bumper, you should be using the square hole spacer along with the 1-1/4-inch carriage bolt.

The 2001 CR-V in the installation video had a large enough access hole that it did not need to be enlarged for the spacer block. Unfortunately, your CR-V seems to have a smaller access hole. In the instructions, Step 2 indicates that if the hole in the frame is too small, it will need to be enlarged to 1-1/4 inch diameter. I have linked the instructions for your convenience.
