Upgrading from older incandescent lights makes a huge difference in visibility and reliability. Installation doesn’t have to be complicated. This surface-mount light uses slots on the back so you can slide and adjust the stainless steel mounting bolts for the perfect fit on your trailer frame. The mounting holes are set 2" apart on center, using 1/4-20 x 1" hardware that’s included. The 3-wire pigtail keeps wiring simple—white for ground, brown for tail lights, yellow for stop and turn—making setup quick and frustration-free.

I installed this light on my boat trailer. It is a prefect match to the previous light so the installation was easy. Light is bright and easily seen in all modes.
I bought both left and right lights. They look great and are very bright. They fit right in place of the old ones. There were no instructions for the wire colors but since they follow the trailer wiring code, it was not a problem. I will order another set for my other trailer.

After I kicked the light one day at the launch ramp, breaking the lens, I was delighted to find that i could just order the necessary lens - which came with new electronics at a decent price from etrailer. Now a year later, it is all working well - whenever we manage to get to the water - and it has maintained it's waterproof status after many dunks in the salt chuck. Good product and fine service.

Lights continue to work well. I have adopted the policy of unplugging the light before dunking it underwater. Of course, I also had to train myself to plug it back in before getting on the road - thats what a check list is for, I imagine.

Bought these to retrofit my 2004 Shoreland'r boat trailer. etrailer's price was very competitive, they shipped exactly when they promised and the lights arrived quickly thereafter. The website description was accurate and provided exact dimensions so lights fit just as expected. Installation was fast and easy with the fasteners provided. I had heard rumors about LEDs not working properly with some 2004 GM electrical systems but there was no problem with these. Very satisfied with the product and the supplier.

I ordered these LED Trailer tail lights (STL57RB and STL56RB) for my 1988 Shorelander trailer. I was having a hard time matching the dimensions of my worn out lights. These new lights fit perfectly. They were easy to install, but if you have questions the etrailer.com web site has resources including videos that can assist you. LED is the way to go. These lights are much brighter than the old incandescent model.

I have been more than pleased with the quality and performance of the Optronics brand lights! These are no exception!
This tail light assembly is a direct replacement on my ShoreLander trailer. The running lights, including four on the side, are a nice feature. The brake/signal light are more intense as expected. Lastly, the dimensions and mounting holes allowed me to bolt them into place without issue!
I, like others, am amazed at the brightness of the lights. They are a huge upgrade over my existing incandescent lamps! I am looking forward to no more burnt/broken bulbs!
I have purchased Optronics tailslights in the past, and am purchasing again as I like the quality/performance of the taillight assemblies. I would buy again and I would recommend to others as well!

A year later and Ive had zero issues with these LED lights. All the individual LEDs continue to work and the brightness has not diminished over time! I have gotten several comments from fellow fishermen on these. They like that they fit nicely on my shorelander trailer and the brightness of the unit! Im extremely happy with these!

Just installed new lights. I think these are a nice, very bright LED light but they shipped without any mounting hardware. I would excpect that for the price it would of come with the licence plate holder and at the very least mounting screws and nuts. It added an extra hour and several more bucks to this project to hunt them down at the Home Depot. I will see in time how the lights hold up in salt water
Love the way they look! Much brighter than the old ones. I had to unhook the old ones to keep from burning out the bulbs. These should not require that.
Very easy installation, fit perfectly on my Shorelander trailer.

The LED lamp assembly works very well and is water proof. However I put these on my boat trailer about 4 years ago and both sides have a problem that the LED assembly fell out of the housing. There is only 1 little screw holding the LED assembly in the lens. I also lost the housing on one side of the boat trailer. I had to drill holes in the lens and back plate and add tie-wraps to hold the LED assembly in place. This needs to be improved upon.
In the pictures you will notice that I added tie-wraps to the new light.
I want to thank you for all your help with my trailer you were more helpful than you realize. So this is my trailer for a 22' Flats Cat shallow draft Catamaran. I totally dismantled my trailer and buffed by hand with a wire buffer and sand blasted in some spots and applied multiple coats of some very expensive galvanize paint (Z.R.C.). I installed all new C. E. Smith Carpet (about 80'), seven new LED waterproof lights, new springs, new equalizers, new tongue jack, new wench, new safety chain, new chain brackets, all new SS hardware and a 35' long wiring harness.
I was able to send only one review with a picture of the safety chain and brackets. I'm having a little trouble with the rest..oh some of these items were bought locally or from your competitors, until I found ETRAILER. Your prices were cheaper for the exact same things. Your helpful how to videos were helpful. And Rose, your personal helpful knowledge made my buying experience very pleasant, I actually enjoyed talking to you! Great lights, still going strong!
Replaced the jet ski trailer light perfectly! Lighting is much brighter than the stock incandescent bulb in all modes and light disbursement is very good, even from the sides. The license plate light comes on with the parking lights and is over-kill in lighting up the area below (that is NOT a complaint)!
