When you’re towing at full capacity, you need brakes that stop straight and stay smooth. This Kodiak 13" hub-and-rotor assembly is built for 7,000- to 8,000-lb axles and uses a single cast-iron piece that’s factory balanced for steady rotation. The machined design keeps runout low and helps the rotor resist warping, so braking stays consistent under heavy loads.
Rust can eat through bare hubs fast, especially if you’re around saltwater or wet roads. This hub uses Dacromet plating tested for a 300–400 hour salt-spray rating. It gives tough corrosion protection without sacrificing the cast iron’s strong friction surface. That means less time fighting rust and more time rolling smooth in any condition.
Brake fade from heat buildup can sneak up quick when you’re hauling down long runs or grades. The vented rotor channels air through the disc to dissipate heat before it builds up. Cooler operation protects the rotor surface and keeps braking power steady mile after mile.
Swapping from drum to disc or replacing worn parts shouldn’t take all day. This one-piece hub-and-rotor comes with industry-standard races already pressed in and wheel studs installed. With fewer loose parts to manage, installation is straightforward whether you’re refitting or upgrading your setup.
You don’t have to chase odd bearing sizes—this hub uses standard 25580 inner and 02475 outer bearings with an RG06-070 seal (sold separately). That makes it easy to pair with common bearing kits like #DX38ER or find replacements down the line without special ordering.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"
