This 2-1/2" diameter x 2-1/2" wide endcap mounts to a side guide roller on your boat trailer to provide additional surface area for improved boat-to-roller contact. Heavy-duty rubber delivers lasting effectiveness.

Endcaps easily install on the same brackets that your side guide rollers are mounted to. Just attach each endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller bracket, and then secure the endcap in place with a cap nut (or pal nut). Not only do the endcaps provide more surface area for better boat-to-trailer contact, but they also help to keep your boat from being scratched by sharp bracket edges.

Today we are going to review part number YR224-5. This is a Yates end cap for side guide rollers on your boat trailer. This end cap will mount to the side guide roller on your boat trailer and provide additional surface area for improved boat-to-roller contact. This part is constructed off a heavy duty rubber material and it is made in the USA. This part also provides additional contact between roller and the boat for extra guiding capabilities. This end cap will install on the same bracket that your side guide rollers are mounted to.
Just attach the end cap to the shaft on the outside roller bracket and then secure the end cap in place with the inaudible. This end cap will provide a better surface area for better boat-to-trailer contact and also to help keep your boat from being scratched by the sharp bracket edges. Im going to do a few measurements on the end cap for you. The diameter is 2 and inches and the width is 2 inches. This end cap will go on, will apply to the side guide roller and this is a 5/8 inch diameter shaft.
And that should do for part number YR224-5.

Completely misleading description. It says "easily install on the same brackets that your side guide rollers are mounted to. Just attach each endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller bracket, and then secure the endcap in place with a cap nut" - This isn't true. Each end roller adds an additional 1 3/8 inch required for the shaft so you will have to get an entirely new shaft, which they don't tell you. If this information would have been provided, I would not be rating it so low as I could have ordered the correct shaft instead of one that is now too short.
These replaced the old dried out and hard end caps. These are much more pliable and easy on the hull.
