The battery box was easy to install and is working well for us on our small Extreme Sports Little Guy MyPod trailer. The dealer installed battery box had a broken latch and was positioned in the center of the tongue platform. We decided to replace that original battery box rather than just move it. We mounted this new box forward on the tongue and now have room for a camp box behind it on the platform. It was easy to arrange the wires to emerge from the box to minimize the lengths of loose battery wires hanging out. I substituted self-tapping metal screws for the wood screws that came with the box. The lid latches on this box are more substantial than the ones on the old box.

Bought to replace old battery box cover that fell off while towing camper. Fit perfectly on top of old battery box. Just make sure it snaps in place before towing! Also comes with strap for additional security.

This is the one you want. I lost the top of my original battery box when the strap loosened up while towing. This box has the lid snap securely in place so it won't fly away if the strap gets loose without you knowing. Best price I could find was at etrailer and the shipping was reasonable and quick.

Box worked out fine. Did drill a couple of holes in the bottom to secure it firmly to my trailer, was concerned the strap wouldn't hold it securely enough on an open rail.

Exactly what I was expecting. My previous battery box was for a larger battery, making connecting to the battery and getting the wires out of the openings a hassle because openings in the top didn't line up at all with the terminals. I use this for my small 14 ft Deep v fishing boat.

Plastic battery box was squeeze in cardboard box, deformed, but luckily not cracked. Hopefully it will stretch back out so the cover fits properly.

I do have a possible solution for you but unfortunately there aren't any battery boxes available that will hold two 12V batteries and fit within a 21" length and 8" width. The closest thing we have is the TorkLift PowerArmor Locking Battery Box # TLA7708R which measures 26-3/4" long x 8-3/16" wide x 13" tall and as you can see from customer pictures the batteries fit in there pretty snug. Battery Box or Tray for a 7-1/2 x 5 x 7-1/4 Inch Battery
NOCO Battery Box # 329-HM300BKS is a good option. The interior dimensions are 10-1/2" long x 7-3/16" wide x 9-5/8" deep. It doesn't have a metal bracket for mounting though. The boxes that have metal brackets are either too small for your battery size or they are custom made to fit specific vehicle frames. I would go with a box over a tray because a box will better protect the battery.

Troubleshooting Interior Lights Not Working On an Enclosed Trailer
It sounds like your interior lights on your 2019 Legend are powered off a secondary battery. The exterior clearance/ marker and tail lights are powered directly from your 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. Adding a 7-Way, Battery, and Interior LED Lights for an Enclosed Trailer
It would be a good idea to add a 7-Way trailer connector such as # H20042 to the trailer so you can utilize the 12 volt circuit on the Toyota Tundra's 7-Way connector to provide a maintenance charge to a trailer mounted battery. The two mounting brackets included with the # 329-HM300BKS battery box would fasten to the mounting surface, using the included screws (or suitable hardware of your choosing) and the straps would be threaded through. The battery box would be placed on top of the straps, which would then be looped around the top of the box then buckled into place. If the jack drew less than 10 amps the Bright Way Push-to-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit with 2-Amp Charger and 10 Ah Battery # 3802311 would work decently but typically they draw more than that. A better option would be a deep cycle battery like the part # BRW34FR which is rated for 75 amps. Then for a battery box the # 329-HM300BKS would work great.
