Hello neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our snap top battery box with included strap and mounting hardware for your six volt batteries and it has a nice vented lid. So folks, this battery box is gonna protect your automotive, marine, or even your RV battery against impacts contaminants or leaked battery acid. It'll be great for install on, like, a boat, camper, motor home, trailer, or even next to a generator. It does feature a nice rugged (fist tapping) molded plastic lid that's gonna be impact resistant and the UV rays, oil and gas and battery acid as well are not gonna harm it. You can see right here and here it's vented to let air out.
And then on both sides you got two ports there and two ports here where you could potentially put your wire through to run the cables out. You simply pull up on the front and rear tab to take the lid off. And there's a better view kind of where that air's coming out. (lid clanking) And you got a nice deep box. You can see that it is, on the four corners, it's kind of like deeper than in the middle.
So that's where if it was leaking battery acid or something, that acid could puddle up in those four corners and help protect the battery as long as possible, obviously. Now it does also feature a reinforced handle on the sides here and everything itself, and that's gonna help you carry the battery in the box with it all together, very nice. As far as mounting it, you got this guy here, you simply would screw this into wherever you're wanting to mount this box. You got four included self-tapping screws here that come with it, black and color to match. You got a nice strap here.
And with the strap, you got a buckle in there. You screw this down in place, run the strap underneath because it's got a little ridge here. Run the strap through. (box clicking) Put the box on it, put the lid on it. (lid clicking) And then run your strap all the way over, top and bottom, to secure it.
Now this is meeting all United States Coast Guard and the ABYC requirements for marine use and it's made right here in the US. It is made for six volt automotive batteries, marine and RV lead acid SLA batteries, and it's a group size six volt for the battery size. Now as far as some quick dimensions, overall externally side to side, I got 13 and 7/8 inches long. 12.5 inches tall by 10 and 5/16 wide way up here at the top. As far as some internal dimensions. (lid clattering) Inside to inside, I went just from here to here because you can't put a battery in the corners obviously. So here to here I got 10 and 5/8 long, 10 inches tall or deep, however you want to call it. And then 7 and 5/8 inches wide right up here. Now this box is rated for temperatures from negative 20 degrees Fahrenheit all the way up to 320 degrees Fahrenheit. It's got a nice one year limited warranty and it weighs about 2.5 pounds, 2.6. Well, folks that's gonna wrap it up for our look at our snap top battery box with the strap for your six volt batteries. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
