Features to know about

Keep Moving Safely Through Light Snow: Diagonal Cable Pattern Improves Grip in Turns

When the roads get slick, these Titan Chain cable chains deliver steady traction where you need it most—during turns and stops. The diagonal pattern keeps more of the cable in contact with the ground, giving you a smoother ride and better control than traditional ladder-style cables. They’re ideal for light snow and those quick trips through areas that require chains on hand.

Drive Comfortably on Cleared or Slushy Roads: Low-Profile Rollers Create a Smooth Ride

These aren’t bulky chains that rattle your teeth on dry pavement. The low-profile rollers wrap around flexible wire cables to keep your ride smooth and quiet while still giving you the traction boost you need. They’re a great option when you don’t want the weight or rough feel of heavy chains but still want the confidence that comes with extra grip.

Easy Fit for Tight Wheel Wells: SAE Class S Design Protects Your Vehicle

If your vehicle has limited wheel-well clearance, these cables are built to fit. They meet SAE Class S standards, which means they work safely in tighter spaces where standard chains might rub or catch. You only need 1.46" (37 mm) of clearance above the tire and 0.59" (15 mm) on the sidewall, so they’re a smart pick for modern vehicles with less room around the tires.

No Guesswork on Setup: Includes Custom Rubber Tensioners for a Snug Hold

Each set comes with rubber tensioners made specifically for these cables, so you get a tight, even fit right out of the box. Once installed, the adjusters keep the cables centered and secure as you drive—no constant retightening required. Just clip them on in a star pattern and you’re ready to roll.

Strong and Simple to Store: Alloy Steel Cables Built for Durability

Made from durable alloy steel, these cable chains stand up to repeated use while staying lightweight and easy to handle. They resist wear and corrosion, and when you’re done, they coil up small enough to stash in your trunk until the next storm hits. Each pair fits 14" – 18" tires and includes a 30-day limited warranty.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

These are good cable chain which fit nicely on the CR-V.

by:

I bought these for my 2018 CR-V. They were quick and easy to install. There was plenty of clearance behind the wheels. Once I use them in the snow I’ll update my review, but I’m extremely pleased so far.

by:

They are a rather snug fit on my Honda CRV 235/60R18 tires but worked beautifully on my very icy hillside 1/3 mile driveway. Easy to put on. Very happy to have them.

by:

Shipping was quick and communication was great from purchase to delivery. The cable chains install quick and easy in one step without having to move your vehicle at all. Fit is perfect and snug for my 255/70R18 tires.

by:

I was very happy with the overall order process and the quick delivery. Chains comes in a nice bag for storage.

by:

The chains arrived quickly and look great! They come in a nice storage bag. We have not had to put them on our new car yet but we are ready. We hope to carry them and never use them just like insurance.

by:

I haven't tried them in the snow yet, and hope I never have to, but they're super-easy to install in my driveway. The communication with and service from etrailer was beyond great.

by:

Great tire chain used it this thanks giving and after seeing so many cheaper ones and some expensive ones break I was glad I got this make great chains easy to put on and worked great

by:

Received chains much earlier than I expected. etrailer is great to work with. Got notice when they shipped and confirmation when I received them. Watched their installation video and was able to install my chains easily. They fit perfectly and looking forward to hitting the mountain snow!

by:

These were mounted on a 2017 Fiat 500 Sport. Last February we drove from Quartzsite Arizona thru Santa Fe New Mexico to Denver, Boulder, and then spent 3 weeks in Aspen Colorado before heading west back to Quartzsite. In Aspen it snowed nearly every day and I put the chains on and removed the chains multiple times. By the third cycle I had the installation wired and could install them on the side of the road in a raging blizzard in less than 5-6 minutes - with gloves on. Great product that worked incredibly well. We could have never done the trip without them.

by:

I knew zero about snow chains for my truck. etrailer website gave me all the information I needed to make a buying decision. Then easy ordering, great shipping and perfect follow up. They even showed me how to install my chains!

by:

I haven't used them yet. Price and delivery were good. Previous purchases from etrailer have been very satisfactory.

by:

I've used these chains several times in this winter and it works only on flat roads with light snow. My 2015 Subaru Forester wearing these chains couldn't climb 10 - 20 degrees road with around 3 - 6 inches snow. I was expecting my Subaru could climb that road because it wasn't steep. No issues with clearance. I should have bought diamond pattern chains.

by:

We ordered these during the recent winter storms in North Carolina. Have never used chains before. Unfortunately, due to USPS delays, by the time we received them, we really didn't need them, but they will be good for peace of mind. I'm sure sometime they will be useful. We practiced putting them on yesterday and found that the tensioner was a lot harder to get on than shown in the video. My husband, who is strong, was barely able to do it, and there's no way I ever could. That's why they got 4 stars instead of 5 from me. But the product seems to be high quality, and I love the carry/storage bag they came in.

by:

Perfectly capable tire cables. Helped me get around my iced up city during the North Texas ice storm in late January.

Only two criticisms: 1. The bag came really dirty and dusty, like it’d been sitting in a barn since the 1800s. 2. the included tensioners weren’t long enough to strap to all 5 points across the rim. Luckily I had some 18 in bungee cords that solved this problem.

by:

Haven't used tire cables yet … but … did install one to check the fit and look. And the thing fit perfectly on my 2019 F150 with 245/70r17 tires. Even look pretty good too! I especially like that the cables can be put on as the truck sets - no need to lay them out and back over them. And the carrying bag is nice - keeps everything together and able to be stored under a seat, in the bed, or wherever. I thought about getting chains with v-bars … but didn't think I needed anything that aggressive - so the tire cables ought to do just fine in deeper snow, packed snow and maybe even on ice.

by:

Looks to be of decent quality. I like the carry bag they come in which is a nice touch. Have not used them yet or put them on my car, so can’t give a full honest review at this time.

by:

Shipping was quick, installation fiddly but doable. Customer service was excellent. Removal is a pain as things wont line up as neatly, but with some practice isn't bad. I got to use the chains in anger this winter and performance was great, I got into and out of places that would have been impassible otherwise, even with true 4x4 and good tires. Recommended for the price point and for occasional use.

I see that you gave your experience with etrailer 1 star. If you give me more information about why you are disappointed in us, I will be happy to assist you.

by:

Although I may never use them, I now have a set of Cable Chains for my trailer that are required in many states. Excellent fit!

by:

They seem to be very well made. Watching the installation video first is a good idea.

Thank you, Guy

by:

Bought two pairs of these for my enclosed trailer, as I believe in redundancy. I barely avoided a snow storm so I hadn't had to use them in action yet, but they are easy to install and seem to be quite solidly built.

by:

Everything I expected

by:

I have not used the product yet but I pulled it out and simulated the installation steps. Product looks solid and of good quality. The instructions contains photos, some of which are difficult to discern the details; a drawing/diagram would be more helpful.

  • Need Tire Chains For 8.3x16 Tires
Hey Larry, thanks for reaching out. We don't see those tractor tires too often so I double checked the Titan Chain catalogue. They do offer a few sets of chains for the 8.3x16 tires. Here is what they list: - Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains for Wide Base and Dual Tires - Ladder Pattern - Twist Link - 1 Axle Set # TC3227 - Titan Chain Alloy Snow Chains w/ Cams for Wide Base Tires - Ladder Pattern - Square Link - 1 Pair # TC3227SCAM The # TC3227SCAM is definitely what I recommend. • What Tires Do Chains Need to Be Installed On For a 2016 Honda Accord
According to the owner's manual for your 2016 Honda Accord, only the use of tire cables are permitted and they must be installed on the front two wheels. If you do not already have a set of cables then I recommend checking out the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cable Snow Tire Chains part # TC339DC if you have 235/45-18 tires or part # TC335DC if you have 205/65-16 or 215/55-17 tires. The Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains part # TH01221104 that you referenced should not be used because they do...

  • Recommended Tire Chain Size for my 2005 Toyota Sienna
For your 2005 Toyota Sienna the part # TC339DC that you have will not work. Instead the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cable Snow Tire Chains part # TC335DC is the route to go. While it is just a small difference in size the difference is enough that a different set is required for a safe and secure fit. Check your owner's manual on both vehicles to ensure you follow any guidelines they may have in place so avoid any issues.

  • Easy to Install Tire Chains for a 2014 Nissan Altima with 215/60R16 Tires
The chains that are the easiest to install and that fit your 2014 Nissan Altima with 215/60-16 tires are the Konig "Easy Fit" # TH04115100 tire chains. They are Class-S compatible. I really think that once you put chains on and off several times that most of them are not too difficult. I would also check on the Titan Chain # TC335DC cable chains. All of the chains listed will provide excellent grip. The main differences are the quality of material and how the chains install. There is...

  • Recommended Tire Cables for 215/55-17 Size Tires on a 2014 Chevy Volt
Out of the cable chains that fit the 215/55-17 size tire on your 2014 Chevy Volt I recommend the Titan Chain part # TC335DC because it has a diagonal design which will give you better traction than a ladder version like part # PW1038. The recommended chains also include adjusters which ensure a snug fit. Attached is a review video for you to check out. Be sure to also look in your owner's manual for any specific instructions or restrictions about tire chains.

  • Do I Need Snow Tire Chains For All 4 Tires On My Front Wheel Drive 2007 Toyota Avalon?
You could certainly just add chains to the front tires since that would provide you with driving traction. But ideally you would want all four tires to have chains regardless of which axles drive the vehicle, as this would be the most effective and safest approach. That being said, I did check the owner's manual for your 2007 Toyota Avalon and it appears that Toyota recommends chains only be installed on the front tires. It looks like the two most common tire sizes on a 2007 Toyota Avalon...

  • Best Tire Chain Recommendation for a 2008 Kia Rondo with 225/50R17 Tires
The best Class S compatible tire chain I would recommend for your 2008 Kia Rondo is the Titan # TC335DC diagonal cable snow gtire chains. Since you have limited clearance these would be the best choice, and their diamon design improves cornering. I have also included a link with other S-compatible chains that have a more aggresive grip if you think you have room for them. If you will regularlily need chains you may want the Thule # TH04115100 "Easy Fit" chains with Self-Tensioning adjusters....

  • Snow Chains that Fit Tire Size 205/70-16 Recommendation
The difference in size between the two tire sized you mentioned would not allow the same chain to fit both. The part # PW1926V that you mentioned would fit the 205/70-13 but not the 16 inch tire size. For a similar solution that fits that size you'd want the part # TC335DC if you were wanting cables. Cables are great for a one time use but if you wanted something that wasn't too expensive yet would hold up better a set of pewag chains part # PWRS75 would be a really great option thats...
