Features to know about

For Stored Vehicles and Seasonal Protection

Whether you're parking an RV, boat, or lawn equipment for the off-season, this compact deterrent helps discourage mice and other small animals from getting too comfortable in your space and equipment. The MouseBlocker PROx is ideal for enclosed, low-light areas like RV and boat engine compartments, battery boxes, lawn and farm equipment, motorcycles, ATVs, and other 12V-powered gear. It's also a good fit for electric and hybrid vehicles with 12V battery access. Because you can use this with a battery maintainer, it's a great fit for the vehicle you use for your daily drives or vehicles, like tractors and mowers, you use once a week. If you know your vehicle is going to be in storage, unused for weeks or months, we recommend the plug-in version (MB34FR).

How It Works

MouseBlocker PROx uses ultrasonic sound in an intermittent pattern and dual strobing LED lights to make dark, enclosed spaces less inviting, and performs best in spaces where sound and light can bounce off surrounding surfaces. You can choose from three output levels depending on how aggressive you want the deterrent to be. Because these sound levels are at a frequency humans can't hear, you won't notice a thing. The unit runs continuously, shifting between frequencies of 25 to 45kHz. This intermittant pattern helps keep mice from getting used to a single, constant frequency. It connects to a 12V battery, but only takes about as much power to run as an LED nightlight, and is smart enough to shut off automatically if voltage drops below 11V.

Works great! Highly recommend.

by:

All you need to know is that they work.

by:

Easy to setup and use. Too soon to tell if it keeps the mice away.

by:

So far so good, thinking about buying more. Haven't heard or seen a mouse since I bought one and I had a serious problem before.

by:

This little device is simple to install. The combination of sound and light should do the trick to keep rodents out of the rig. This is much easier than using those smelly pouches, and you don't need to buy a new one every year.

by:

Works as advertised.

by:

Too early to say
It looks like it will
be the real McCoy

by:

Looks just like the picture, and works as described.

by:

It arrived later than expected but it was easy to install and setup in my Class A RV. I have been having some activity around my RV despite having rat traps set up in yard. My Rat Terrier has been sniffing underneath the RV now for a month or so but no signs inside. Hoping this keeps the rodents out or from chewing wiring.

by:

We have not seen a rodent or evidence of one, so it might be working. However, it is not silent, and my wife hates the noise. We have to unplug it when she is in the trailer.

by:

It seems to be doing its job.I haven't seen any sign of a mouse being under the hood I also put Grampa gusses mouse pouch there

by:

Easy to install. Easy to order, communication was great and was delivered in 3 days. I’ve never had a problem with etrailer or their products.

by:

So far so good. Pack rats gone. Mine does not seem to shut off when the truck starts. Possible it shuts off after the truck moves but I would have no way of knowing. Does not shut off when parked and running.

by:

Easy installation waiting to see the re sults

by:

Well I'm not sure it's 105 DB. We have another one of not this brand that have less decibels and is louder. Whether or not it works, that remains to be seen.

by:

I have a rodent problem
I bought 4
3
for my vehicle
1 for my neighbor
Hope this works

  • Can Cats Hear MouseBlocker PROx Electronic Rodent Deterrent
Hey Gary, yes your cats will hear the sound that the MouseBlocker PROx Electronic Rodent Deterrent - 12V DC # MB94FR emits. This puts out a sound range of 25 to 45 kHz while a cat can hear that and much higher. They probably won't love it but you can try different volume settings.

  • What MouseBlocker Should I Use With a Ford F-450 Super Duty
Hey, Tim! You can absolutely use a MouseBlocker on a truck you drive every day. MouseBlocker offers their classic unit, part #MB44FR, which works well for smaller equipment. While it can be used on your F-450, I think you’d be much happier with their PROx unit, part #MB94FR. Both units are designed to shut off automatically when they sense movement or when your truck starts. They’ll also turn off if your battery drops below 11v to prevent draining it. That’s typically only a concern...

  • Is MouseBlocker PROx Compatible with Side Post Batteries

  • Which MouseBlocker Should I Use For my RV and Shed
Hey, Mark! The MouseBlocker PROx part # MB94FR would be the best for your RV. It's the hardwire in options but this will be the best option because it will give you the availability to mount and put anywhere you can wire it into. Now these are really great for mice, rabbits and other small rodents but wont have an affect on bugs at all. We currently don't carry anything that would target and deter bugs like the MouseBlocker does. For your shed I'd recommend the plug in version of the...

  • Can I Install a In-Line Switch on the MouseBlocker PROx Electronic Rodent Deterrent?
Hey Kyle. You can indeed install an in-line switch with the MouseBlocker PROx Electronic Rodent Deterrent item # MB94FR. It'll need to be a 12v switch like item # 37212815. The red wire will be connected to the positive post on the switch, the black will go on the negative post. What kind of vehicle or RV are you installing this in? You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

  • Using MouseBlocker Electronic Pest Control In A Hybrid Vehicle - Prius
Dave, you’re right - hybrids and EVs can be prime targets because of their quiet engine bays. The Classic # MB44FR is a great choice for a Prius; it wires directly to the 12V system. And yes, even hybrids have a 12V auxiliary battery. If you want extra deterrence, the Pro # MB94FR adds flashing LEDs, although this one draws slightly more power so I'd recommend keeping the car on a maintainer or solar charger for this one. Do you typically store the Prius for long stretches, or is it a...

Hey Terri! Dogs will be able to hear the MouseBlocker PROx Electronic Rodent Deterrent # MB94FR. However, it only really bothers very small dogs (like a Chihuahua). More than likely your dog will notice it at first but then ignore it. These are considered safe for pets. What kind of dogs do you have?

  • What is Best Mouse Blocker for Engine Bay of Car
Hey Barbara, the best solution would be the MouseBlocker Prox part # MB94FR. This will wire directly to the BMW battery and will do a great job keeping those annoying rodents out of the engine bay. Since this wires to the battery directly she won't every have to remember to turn it on and she'll can forget about it but at same time know that it's keeping them out. I'm almost afraid to ask but how much did the repair cost?

  • Does the MouseBlocker PROx Electronic Rodent Deterrent Work with Squirrels as Well?
Hello Jim, Great question! The MouseBlocker PROx Electronic Rodent Deterrent 12V DC # MB94FR has been proven to help with squirrels as well, but results can vary depending on the environment and how persistent the animals are. This unit uses a combination of ultrasonic sound waves and bright LED strobe lights to make enclosed spaces uncomfortable for rodents, including mice, rats, and squirrels. It works best in tighter or enclosed areas such as engine compartments, RV storage bays, or...

  • Can MouseBlocker Prox be Left Installed in Car
Hey Melanie, you can certainly put the MouseBlocker PROx Plug In Electronic Rodent Deterrent # MB34FR under the hood of your car as that's what it was intended for. We even have a version you could wire to the vehicle battery so you could leave it installed all the time with the part # MB94FR. For something larger to protect a carport you'd instead want the part # MB64FR.

  • How To Deter Pests And Rodents For Long-Term Vehicle Storage Without Battery Maintainer
Carl, exactly. The Pro # MB94FR works best when the vehicle battery is maintained or charged at least every week or two. For long-term storage without a maintainer, the plug-in # MB34FR is safer - it runs continuously off a 110V outlet and doesn’t risk draining your Jeep’s battery. Do you have access to power in your storage spot, or is it totally off-grid? If you don't have power outlet at all, the lowest wattage unit that runs off your Jeep's 12v battery is the classic # MB44FR, using...

  • Protecting RV Interior From Rats And Mice During Summer Storage in Arizona
Linda, since you won’t have power available, the 12V Classic # MB44FR is the simple way to go - it wires to your trailer battery and uses almost no draw (0.1 watts). If you also want flashing LEDs as a second deterrent, the Pro # MB94FR is a nice upgrade, but it pulls a bit more power (0.6 watts). Some RV owners even run multiple Classics # MB44FR in different compartments for added coverage. Do you typically leave your Cougar’s batteries connected while in storage, or do you disconnect them?

  • Using Mouse Blocker Pro in a 2009 Fleetwood Discovery to Prevent Rodents
Greg, the Pro MouseBlocker # MB94FR is an excellent choice for large Class A diesels. It wires right to your 12V battery bank, adds flashing LEDs for extra deterrence, and shuts off automatically if voltage drops below 11V. Since you’ve got a big rig, many owners install one Pro unit in the engine bay and a plug-in # MB34FR in the coach interior for full coverage. Do you keep your Discovery plugged into shore power in storage, or just let the batteries sit? If you have power all the time,...

  • How To Deter Rats And Rodents From Engine Bay Of Honda Accord
Emily, since your Accord is parked outside, the plug-in # MB34FR in the garage won’t help much - the ultrasonic waves don’t carry outdoors. You’ll want the Pro # MB94FR wired to your Honda’s 12V battery under the hood so it runs whenever the car’s parked. It uses almost no power and even shuts off if battery voltage dips too low. Do you usually park under a cover or just open air?

  • How Many MouseBlocker PROx Units Would I Need To Protect 40' 5th Wheel Toy Hauler?
Hey Chuck, thanks for reaching out. So MouseBlocker does not list a specific range for the PROx # MB94FR. They do say this model is designed more to protect the area where it is mounted. It even has strobe lights that flash to help as a deterrent in that area. That said, for a 40' toy hauler, I am thinking you would want two of the PROx units. One in the front and one in the back. Preferably placed closest to areas with a lot of electronics or stuff for rodents to chew on.

  • Protecting Classic Pickup From Mice Chewing Wiring During Long-Term Storage
Henry, yes, the MouseBlocker Pest Control Pro # MB94FR is built for long-term storage of vehicles like your classic truck. It wires directly to the 12V system and uses barely more power than a nightlight. If you don’t run a battery maintainer, I’d suggest checking voltage occasionally, since the Pro will shut down automatically if the battery drops too low as a safety feature to protect your truck's battery. Do you plan to run a tender on that old Ford?

  • Using Mouse Blocker Pest Control Unit in a Truck That Sits Unused
Steve, yes, the Pro # MB94FR is designed exactly for situations like that. It connects to your 12V system, runs quietly in the background, and shuts off if battery voltage drops too low so you don’t come back to a dead truck. Since your truck sits for long stretches, you might consider a battery maintainer too - that way the MouseBlocker and your truck battery both stay healthy. If you don't have one already, I'd go with # 329-GENIUS2D. Do you typically disconnect the battery when leaving...

  • Protecting Boat Wiring From Mice at the Marina
Absolutely, Don. The Pro # MB94FR is made for enclosed, low-light areas like an engine bay. It runs continuously off the boat’s 12V battery and shuts down automatically if voltage drops too low. The strobe lights combined with the ultrasonic pulses make it a solid deterrent for marine storage. Just make sure it’s mounted where sound can bounce off surrounding surfaces for maximum effect. Do you usually leave your battery connected through the winter or use a maintainer?

  • MouseBlocker for a Jet Ski Kept on a Lift Outside In The Rain
Brad, the MouseBlocker units work best in enclosed spaces where sound and light can bounce around - so under a boat cover or in a storage shed is ideal. On an open lift, the ultrasonic waves will dissipate too quickly and may not work as intended, but I'm sure it would still help deter those pesky pests. You could mount the Pro # MB94FR inside the engine bay and still get protection. Do you usually wrap your Waverunner tight for storage, or is it left more open? If you are set on using...

  • Best Rodent Deterrent for RV Engine Bay During Winter Storage
Cheryl, the Classic # MB44FR is designed exactly for that kind of enclosed engine bay. If you want an extra layer of defense, the Pro # MB94FR adds flashing LEDs and higher output settings, which can be helpful if you’ve had stubborn repeat visitors.
