Fitz-All ladder racks do exactly that, they fit most trailer brands 4' to 8-1/2' wide with the telescoping design. Quick, easy assembly in about 5 minutes.Fairly easy to install definitely a 2 person job. Quality seems good. I have an 8.5 ft wide by 16 ft long trailer so I'm not sure how much weight the middle will support being extended that far, anything heavy I plan to keep towards the edge not in the middle of the racks. 16ft trailer I recommend getting 2 sets which makes spacing around 5.5 ft between racks. Definitely predrill holes for the self tapping screws that are provided. Out of the box the racks were taller than I wanted, I cut them down 3 inches to get them closer to the roof and they worked out great and look good. Shipping was fast and product arrived undamaged. Would definitely buy more product from etrailer!!
Reasonable quality for the price. I used these for my step van so that I can haul pipe and ladders. They adapted and mounted easily. I actually bought a total of three sets so that I could have three racks on two trucks.
Great product, easy to install, anxious to put to use. Thanks to George and the etrailer family !!!
I installed this to hold my luggage carrier on my motorcycle trailer to move from Virginia to California and I left it on my trailer since then. It works great!
The included hardware did have some issues going into the steel structure of the trailer. So did my drill bits. Was able to purchase hardware locally for the ones that snapped. The rack has been great. Supports my solar array fine and doesn't move.
I just ordered this week, received quickly, and installed my aluminum ladder/kayak on my cargo/kayak fishing trailer. Very happy with it. I cut it down 3 inches to make strapping it down possible by standing in/on the trailer. Looks so good I have to wash that trailer. I plan to add racks to the inside to hold my fishing poles and, install a vent with fan, and maybe hang a hammock. Wrapped plumbing pipe foam insulation wrap on the crossbars to cushion the yak. Installation instructions were spot on. I recommend this rack to anyone. I think the price was reasonable and weld quality is superb.
I purchased these on Tuesday evening and received them Thursday afternoon. Working by myself An hour and a half later I had them installed. Super easy to install. I put each section together first and extended them to the approximate measurement. I took two 5 gallon buckets and flipped them upside down on top of my trailer then set the rack across them. I installed screws on one side then making sure it was straight installed screws on opposite side. Repeating the same steps on other rack .
The racks themselves are strong, and we'll designed. The welds are good and they're relatively easy to install. My only complaint s are that the diagonal braces on the uprights had holes punched in the middle of each. The problem with that is water can get in them without anywhere to go. To remedy this, I drilled a small hole at the bottom of each for a drain spot. The other complaint I have is the crossmembers have grinding marks all over the end of them where somebody ground down the welds where the inner and outer crossmembers was adjoined. The metal is rough there like a blind person did it (thinned and wavy). I don't even understand why they had to grind it that much, just to flatten out what was probably tack welds. I'm sure they're not all like that, and they'll still do what I need them to, and it wasn't reason enough for me to send them back, plus I needed them asap because I don't have ladder racks on my truck anymore. I would have given them 5 stars if not for those things. etrailer.com was easy to deal with. They're very professional, and notified me when they shipped, and had them to me when they said they would. I will definitely order more things from them in the future.
Very easy installation on 10x6 flat top enclosed trailer. The only modification was having to cut about 4.5" off of each cross member bracket to get rid of all the excess height. Plan on using for kayaks, canoes, and anything else that may be to long to stuff into this little dry shack.
I modified it a bit and made a tire rack out of it with a fold-able work table on top. The table held the tires down and the rack held the tires off the floor high enough to put those large black/yellow totes underneath. This was in an enclosed trailer. I sold that trailer and plan to build a second one in my new trailer.
After installing, I decided to take them back apart and cut about 3 inches off each leg, like the look a lot better closer to trailer roof. Thank you Cathy and Nicole for helping me decide on this ladder rack. Great product. Ron W.
Great rack system for an affordable price! I cut them down to make them shorter for my flat roof trailer then pre drilled holes. Install was easy and hassle free. I will be putting these same racks on my two other trailers!
Very easy install....Very fast delivery...Light Weight...Easy Assembley...Just installed on 6-27-18 and haven't used yet...However, it's a "Recommend" from me...I do have a suggestion for you though...After install I needed about 18 inches of filler tube to hide my joints. I recieved two (2) filler tubes totaling about 84 inches for a 6 x 12 trailer...My point is I'm throwing about 66 inches of aluminum away...That's a big waste....So on a 6 x 12 trailer you only need to send one (1) 20 inch filler piece....Thank you for a (HIGH) quality product w/fast shipping....
These ladder racks DO NOT fit in the channels of the trailer
I am very happy with the racks! They were very easy to install (one person less than 30 minutes). We live and work close to the ocean and after one year they show no signs of rust or wear I need to order one more as I have found myself over loading just the two. As a building contractor, I highly recommend this product and e-trailer! Even the delivery came the day it was scheduled. Thanks e-trailer
Easy to install. Used first r our 18ft canoe. No issues
Great roof rack and was easy to install by myself. It fit my Haulmark trailer perfectly. The thick aluminum makes it feel very sturdy and will not rust which is great.
etrailer.com was very user-friendly and their staff was very professional in helping with shipping our new ladder racks for our work trucks. The Ladder Rack - Rackem Fitz-all kit we purchased is very durable and has a carrying capacity of 400 lbs.
Super happy with the rack set up it was easy to install good quality. It's durable
Installed on utility trailer to carry additional kayak(s). Install straight forward, easy install. Why pay more for “specialty” rack with lower load rating- just need something to finish off (make scratch resistant) the top ends of the vertical posts.
These ladder racks were excellent, as expected. Very easy to install, even for someone like myself who had never installed a set before. They're very sturdy and we have no issue with loading multiple ladders on them. On top of that, the customer service when I called in to place the order was excellent. They took my order quickly and shipped out the same day, plus emailed me a tracking number. I would definitely buy these racks again.
This is my second ladder rack from you folk's and I see you beefed up the cross bar bolt's which is good...Thank You. These mount very easily with just a small amount of tools...I cut about three inches off of the vertical mounts so the ladders won't sit so high from the roof.... I am throwing about 67 inches of Aluminum (Filler Pieces) away again just like before, I only need about 17 inches...My trailer is six feet wide...Sincerely not complaining it's just something ETrailer should find a solution for..I'm just one person so, 67 inches x 80 customers? I will buy from you no matter what so, Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your customers...
I used the rack to mount solar panels to my travel trailer. I shortened the legs so that the panels are closer to the roof. It works great for my application.
This is a very good looking well made rack..BUT IT DOESNT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS,! So, if you happen to be an engineer like my husband you’re good to go but; the description when ordering also does not indicate how tall the rack is...problem AND e trailer recommended this rack for use with a ROOFTOP TENT on top of a cargo trailer. This rack has uprights because it is a ladder rack so you will have to CUT OFF THE UPRIGHTS. All in all if you don’t have the capacity to BUILD WITHOUT INSTRUCTION( although they are available online) and MODIFY the rack for use with a rooftop tent....it’s a quality product. 2 stars for inefficiency
This is a well designed, well built product. The craftsmanship and welding details on the aluminum structure are excellent. Although our trailer did not have supports anticipated by the rack design, we drilled a center hole in the 4 lower attachments and bolted each to a metal stud. I am confident the rack can be modified to work with virtually any trailer.
