Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident: Up to 5,000 lbs of Load-Leveling Support

When the rear end squats under weight, handling, braking, and headlight aim can all go downhill. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your vehicle riding level and stable. By distributing weight evenly across all four wheels, they reduce strain on your factory suspension, improve steering response, and help your tires wear evenly when hauling heavy loads or towing.

Tune the Ride for Every Trip: Adjustable from 5 psi – 100 psi

Every load is different, and this system makes it easy to dial in the right support. Each air spring can be inflated independently anywhere between 5 psi and 100 psi, letting you fine-tune for front-to-rear or side-to-side leveling. Add air when you’re towing or hauling gear to keep the vehicle steady and drop back down for a smoother ride when unloaded. Manual inflation valves mount conveniently on the bumper for quick pressure adjustments, and an onboard compressor system with in-cab gauges can be added later if you want automatic control.

Built to Take the Miles: Heavy-Duty Materials and Roll Plates

Under real load conditions, durability matters most. These air springs use 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber with high-strength Zytel nylon endcaps that are lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates are included to protect the air bags from damage while increasing their load capacity. The kit comes with all necessary brackets, lines, and hardware for installation that holds up to long-term use on tough hauls.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Stability That Feels Solid

Bumps, sway, and bottoming out aren’t just uncomfortable—they can wear out parts fast. The LoadLifter 5000 design absorbs road shock and reduces sway so your ride stays controlled even on uneven pavement or rough job sites. With the extra cushion of air under load, the suspension stays within its normal travel range for a smoother ride that feels planted and predictable mile after mile.

Great service, Great product .

The air bags work great, we’re pretty easy to install would recommend them highly.

Great customer service always, and delivered on time.

I have a 2011 GMC 2500 HD. Installation was fairly easy; must have patience. Instructions indicated could not use U bolts with fifth wheel hitch. In my case, I found with a little finesse I was able to install the U bolts just fine without having to drill holes in the frame. I have a Reese fifth wheel hitch. So far after pulling my trailer one time it works great.

by:

This is wonderful. Has performed perfectly. I see no need for auto leveling or an onboard air compressor for my use. Just put some in when I’m hauling heavy. I will say the Silverado parking brake relocation bracket could use some more engineering. I had a hell of a time getting the bolt in.

by:

It was as advertised
Took about 3 1/2
hrs to install
I am 70 yrs old and did not have a lift to use
So I am a little slow on the up and downs involved
Fit perfectly

Everything works great as usual from et railer

Purchased for my 2019 Silverado 3500HD. I've not had long-term use of it yet, but based on other reviews I anticipate everything will function well for many miles to come.
One thing I wish was included in the package from the manufacturer was the Air Lift Union Tee #21838 which I ended up purchasing separatly. The included air line is fitted with an air valve at each end, requiring you to fill the springs individually. For my use, I wanted a single shared line so the springs remain equal, especially in the event of a leak. I recommend the Air Line brand fitting as I first tried a knockoff version since it was more quickly available, but the entire 5-pack leaked around the o-rings so I had even more downtime (do it right the first time...).
I also have a B&W gooseneck wheel hitch and the instructions call for drilling into the frame and using the self-tapping screws to mount the top plate. I was able to use the U-bolts over my hitch bracket at the rear of the plate, but still had to drill into the frame for the front due to the hitch brackets being higher than the frame rail. It's an awkward angle without having lift access, but still very doable - just a tight fit drilling next to the fuel tank.
Overall, a great solution to improving towing.

These will fit a 2011 chevrolet 2500hd truck. Made my 5th wheel camper feel like I was towing a small utility trailer.

  • Air Bag Suspension Enhancement Kit for 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with 6 inch Lift
Hey Aubrey, I would recommend the Air Lift kit part # AL57338 that is a confirmed fit for your 2018 Chevy Silverado 25000 and then since you have a 6 inch lift you'd want the part # AL52460 to take up that extra space and allow the proper engagement of the bags. This comes with an inflation valve so you don't have to have a compressor installed at this time either.

  • How to Use Air Lift LoadLifter Air Bags on a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 with 6 Inch Lift
Yes, the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs part # AL57538 will work on your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500. However, you don't need to use the 7500 XL system nor would I advise it. Instead, I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57338. The 7,500 lb and 5,000 lb weight capacity you see is for pin/tongue weight, not gross trailer weight as the the pin/tongue weight is the only part that is directly over the top of the airbags. They will however both do an...

  • How do I Make My Ride Quality Better When Using Timbrens and Weight Distribution Hitch?
Hello Robert, I really wish there was something I could suggest to smooth out the ride while using the Timbren’s with your weight distribution hitch. Timbren’s tend to be on the stiff side, which is why I usually only recommend them for folks who are carrying a constant load. For your setup, I’d recommend switching over to either SumoSprings or air bags. The SumoSprings aren’t as firm as the Timbren’s, so they’ll give you a much more comfortable ride. The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper...

  • Best Suspension System Enhancement For Chevy 3500 Construction Truck.
I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL57338. It will give you the most versatility with adjustments and load variations. For your daily construction site needs. The kit comes with 16 feet of air line so you will have plenty of line that will allow you to hide and protect the air lines themselves. You will be able to adjust the air springs independently from each other to get a custom ride that will be smoother than a jounce style spring.

  • What 7,500 Air Bags do You Have for a 2016 Sierra 2500HD with B&W Gooseneck Hitch?
Hello Matthew, The # AL57595 you were looking at is for the Ram trucks. For your 2016 Sierra 2500HD we do not have the Air Lift 7500's, we do have the Firestone Red Label with a 7,500 load leveling capacity # F2709 which will work great with the # BWGNRK1016 (B&W part number: GNRK1016). You only want to go with the 7,500 bags if you are really carrying a load over 5,000. If your load is under 5k I would go with the # AL57338 which would also be compatible with the # BWGNRK1016. The correct B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is part # BWGNRK1012. In regards to the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57338, you can use these with the B&W Turnoverball no problem but you will need to drill into the bottom of the frame to attach the upper bracket as opposed to using the u-bolts that clamp around the frame. All of the air spring kits for the 2011 Ford F-250 mount to the sides of the truck frame rails. The issue is that the B&W gooseneck hitch brackets also install in the same location but on the outsides of the frame rails. This would not be a problem if the B&W brackets holes in them to match the frame holes located directly above the axle. This is the hole that nearly all of the available air spring kits use for your truck. You would have to drill the holes into the B&W brackets. If you...

  • Replacement Air Lift 5813 Air Spring And Mounting Bracket Availability
Hi Turner, Air Lift and Firestone have moved towards no longer offering replacement parts since there tends to be more confusion and issues when trying to swap out parts. These parts separately also ended up costing more than a completely new kit and wouldn't come with a warranty like the kit would so you'll most likely be looking at needing an entirely new kit. We no longer offer the exact replacement parts you need but there still might be a shop that has some on hand to work through....

The air bags I recommend for a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 are the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2596. I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs over the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57338 because the air bags are more durable since they use a crimp rolled design instead of a band clamp (see photo) and there are typically fewer components therefore easier to install. The best way to reduce the bouncing you are experiencing in your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 with the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57338 is by changing out the air springs. By installing 2 of the Replacement Air Springs # AL84297 with the internal jounce bumper this will reduce the bouncing. The most common culprit is an air line that is not cut completely flat and clean. I attached a section of the instructions that provide a few simple steps for diagnosing and fixing the leak. The Air Lift LoadLifter part # AL57338 for the 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 will require drilling if you have the B&W Gooseneck hitch but it will be compatible. The self tapping screws will allow you to attach the Air Lift springs to the bottom of the frame rail and not use the U-bolts which would interfere with the Gooseneck brackets. The upfitter switch on your truck would have to be one that is not currently being used. A 2-position switch can be used to power on the compressor to add air and then switched off once the desired psi is reached. If you wire it up to the upfitter switch I recommend using an analog compressor system that is more set up for that type of switch such as # AL25592. That way you can still have a way to purge out the air pneumatically rather than trying to make it work with a switch. This is...

It is not uncommon to have a leak at the swivel fitting on your Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Springs # AL57338. It usually has to do with the hose not being cut cleanly. I've attached the portion of the installation instructions that deals directly with fixing this leak. My recommendation is to use the Air Lift Air Hose Cutter # AL10530 to ensure a clean cut on the hose. If you need to remove the fitting to reseal it, I recommend the Loctite Thread Sealant 545 # LT37482.
