This Yakima BaseLine roof rack gives you the space you need to haul what matters most. It includes two JetStream crossbars, four BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit for your naked roof. With a 165-lb weight capacity (always observe your vehicle’s maximum roof load), you can load up kayaks, cargo boxes, or camping gear knowing the setup is strong and stable. The black aluminum construction feels solid without adding unnecessary weight.
Nothing spoils a long drive like constant wind noise. The aerodynamic shape of the JetStream bars helps smooth airflow over the roof, while the push-down rubber strips in the top channels close around your mounts to reduce whistling and vibration. You get a quieter ride and less drag on the highway—no trimming or extra fiddling required.
Whether it’s a cargo box for a family trip or kayak cradles for a weekend paddle, these crossbars work with most universal cargo, water, snow, and bike carriers. The top channels make it simple to press hardware into place, and clamp-on mounts fit just as easily. That flexibility means you can keep your existing gear or expand later without needing a different rack.
When you’re parked overnight at a trailhead or campsite, it’s nice to know your rack can stay put. The BaseLine towers accept Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately), giving you an easy way to deter theft and match locks across your Yakima gear if you choose to add them.
Each JetStream crossbar measures 50" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/8" tall and is built from aluminum for strength that won’t weigh you down. Tghe racks have remained on since I installed them correctly, no thanks to your video. I read the manual it came with.
