Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the U-Bolt Plate

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look at these U-bolt plates. These U-bolt plates are gonna use two nine sixteens of an inch in diameter U-bolts, which are sold separately, to attach your three inch in diameter trailer axle to your one and three quarter inch wide leaf springs. These are made here in the USA and let me go ahead and come around to the front of my table and give you some overall measurements, beginning with the overall length. Lining that up, as you can see, we're sitting right at five and seven eighths inches long and then the overall width, we're sitting right at three and three quarters inches wide and then on those holes I'm gonna be measuring inside of hole to inside of hole, so in between those holes, as you can see we are sitting right at three and one sixteenths inches in between the holes lengthwise and then in between the holes, looking at the width, look like we're sitting right at one and eleven sixteenths inches in between those holes, inside to inside and as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, the bolt hole diameter is nineteenths of an inch and that's gonna wrap up our brief look today.
