Hello, neighbors, I'm Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at the Gorilla Retractable Ratchet Straps with S-Hooks. These particular ones are one inch wide by 10 foot long, and they're rated for 400 pounds safe working load limit. Now, these also have a maximum load or a break strength of 1200 pounds. Make sure you're using the right size straps for your load. Now folks, these ratchet tie-down straps will let you secure your cargo in your truck bed, trailer, that kind of stuff.
They also help excess strap from being tangled up or flapping in the wind because they're retractable. So I wanna kind of show you that here. So this guy here, again, they have a ratchet and tie-down, and that little orange button here, that's gonna be your release. So you can release the handle, or you can just release the strap itself. So you simply pull out.
(indistinct) There we go. Pull out as long as you need, and then you simply ratchet it into place. Now if you want to pull out and then bring everything back in, you simply push that tab and it'll also let you ratchet everything back in. There we go. So again, pull out or push the tab down and reel it back in.
So, very simple design. Very ergonomic, easy to use. Everything's nice, black powder coated steel. It's got a nice, thick polyester webbing with PVC coating. That means the edges are durable.
It's also abrasion resistant, so you know, if you're tying down something on a edge of something maybe, you know, the straps are rubbing, it's not gonna break through, 'cause it's got that nice coating on there to prevent that. Now, one feature I like on these is, on the S-hooks, you got these orange plastic safety caps. So what those do is, a lot of times you hook something on one side, you try to run to the other side of the trailer or truck, and this guy falls off, right So we don't want that to happen. You can simply hook on something, put the safety kit back on. Now it's not falling off, even if it's loose, hanging there. And then you could hook the other side up or vice versa, and then ratchet everything down and nothing's falling off while you're setting up. Now the S-hooks themselves are gonna have a nice, very heavy duty hardened steel, and that's gonna ensure they're not gonna bend, brake, flex, that kind of stuff. They also have a nice black vinyl coating on there to help prevent scratches in your cargo as well. You also get a nice leather resistant hard case, very nice heavy duty plastic. You simply put your straps in there when you're not using them, and then you could store them out of the way. Cargo area, toolbox, whatever you want. Very easy to put them back away, and then have them ready to go when you need them. So again, you're getting two straps. One set here. A nice one year warranty. And again, these are the Gorilla Retractable Ratchet Straps with S-Hooks, one inch wide by 10 foot long. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
