This Curt trailer hitch receiver gives you real capability for towing and hauling. With a 5,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight, 6,000-lb maximum GTW when used with weight distribution, and 750-lb maximum tongue weight (including weight-distribution setups), it’s built to handle light campers, small boats, utility trailers, bike racks, or cargo carriers. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with the widest range of accessories and towing gear so you can use your existing equipment without adapters.
The fully welded square-tube design bolts directly to the vehicle’s frame using pre-existing holes. There’s no welding required, and all mounting hardware and instructions come in the box. The fit is precise thanks to Curt’s robotic welding process that keeps everything properly aligned during installation. It’s a setup that most people can handle with standard sockets and a torque wrench in the driveway.
This hitch is made from sturdy steel with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer for superior rust resistance. That finish holds up well against road debris, grime, and weather so it keeps looking good after years of towing. The concealed cross tube design helps it blend in under the bumper for a cleaner look while still providing heavy-duty strength where it counts.
With its Class III rating and 2" receiver size, this hitch pairs easily with common towing gear like ball mounts, hitch pins, bike racks, or cargo platforms. It’s rated for up to 750 lbs of tongue weight without weight distribution and holds that same rating when used with it—so you’ll have solid capacity whether you’re towing or carrying gear on the back of your vehicle. Ball mount, pin, and clip are sold separately to let you customize your setup.

Im so glad someone posted a picture of their Cherokee with a hitch installed on a model other than a Trailhawk! Thank You So Much! Now Im not so worried about buying one to put on my Latitude. All the parts guys at the Jeep house kept saying I was going to have to cut a hole in my bumper!

What did you use to cut the metal silver colored trim on the lower fascia? I have the limited version and didnt know if it would get ruined. But would love to have some pointers?
