Features to know about

Eliminate Tangles with Ease: Automatic Strap Retraction

Say goodbye to tangled ratchet straps in your truck or trailer with the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps. The automatic retraction feature lets you simply push a button, and these 1" x 10' straps neatly wind back into the housing, keeping your storage clean and frustration-free. Perfect for those who are tired of dealing with messy, loose straps.

Strong and Secure Tie-Downs: 400 lbs Working Load Limit

When it comes to securing your cargo, strength and reliability are crucial. With a safe working load limit of 400 lbs and a maximum load break strength of 1,200 lbs, these ratchet straps provide the peace of mind you need whether you're tying down ATVs, machinery, or securing your kayak for a road trip.

Hassle-Free Cargo Protection: Vinyl-Coated S-Hooks

Protect your precious cargo with the vinyl-coated S-hooks featured on these straps. Designed to prevent scratches and damage, the hooks provide a strong, secure connection without compromising the finish on your gear. The coating also ensures long-lasting durability, so you can confidently use them trip after trip.

Stress-Free Adjustments: Push Button Releases

Avoid the struggle of tightening and releasing your straps with the user-friendly push-button releases. These handles make it super easy to adjust your cargo straps precisely, ensuring your load remains secure without having to fumble with complicated mechanisms, even with arthritic hands.

Compact Storage Solution: Retractable Design

Running out of storage space? The retractable design of these straps ensures compact storage, taking the hassle out of keeping your gear organized. Measuring just over a foot when fully retracted, they fit neatly in any toolbox, freeing up valuable space for other essential equipment.

Safe and Dependable: Corrosion-Resistant Steel Bodies

Worried about rust degrading your equipment? These ratchet straps feature zinc-coated steel bodies that resist corrosion, ensuring longevity and reliability, even when exposed to the elements. This durability means you can trust these straps to perform in any weather, making them a dependable choice for all your tying-down needs.

Note

Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. • What Ladder Rack and Tonneau Cover do You Recommend for My 2021 GMC Sierra 1500?
For your 6-1/2 foot bed on your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500, you are correct in saying that the Adarac racks will attach into your truck's stake pockets to allow you to use a tonneau cover with it. Specifically, I recommend the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4003497. Apart from the 500 pound maximum weight capacity of the rack, another benefit is the fact that the uprights do not taper inward toward the truck's bed. This is really important if you use a folding cover or a roll-up...

On your mother-in-law's 2006 Chrysler 300, there is a sticker normally on the driver's door that gives you the Gross Axle Weight Ratings (GAWR) for the front and rear axles not to be exceeded. To determine the maximum loading conditions of the vehicle, locate the statement “The combined weight ofoccupants and cargo should never exceed XXX kg or XXX lbs.” on the Tire and Loading Information placard. The combined weight of occupants, cargo/luggage and trailer tongue weight (mobility scooter...

  • Recommended Cargo Carrier and Ratchet Straps for a 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
Hey Dave yes, the 22-1/2x49 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18113 is perfectly acceptable for your Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and will work great with a 2" class III trailer hitch. I'm not too sure what you plan on hauling, but you'll need to keep it tied down regardless, so I'd also suggest grabbing a set of ratchet straps # EM34415 to keep everything in place. If there is anything else you need help with, feel free to drop a comment and let me know!

Hello Ron. We do offer tie downs that can be used for a wheelchair. I recommend the Erickson Aluminum O-Track Kit # EM85JV. This comes with two 18" sections of track along with four o-rings. You can use straps like the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases # EM34415 to secure the chair.

  • Can a Erickson Big Bed Load Extender # EM07600 Carry 2 Kayaks
Depends on the width of you kayaks and the width of your truck bed, the Erickson Big Bed Load Extender # EM07600 is 48-1/2 inches in width so if your kayaks are narrower than than next to each other this load extender should work well for you. I attached a review video for you to check out. You might also be interested in a pin and clip part # PC3 and ratcheting tie downs like part # EM34415.

  • Minimum Length of the Erickson Re-tractable Ratchet Strap
I went into our warehouse to measure for you and the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases - 1" x 10' - 400 lbs - Qty 2 # EM34415 at it minimum length is 13-3/8 inches. This measurement is from the bottom of the S-hook to the top of the S-hook when completely retracted. The metal body is 4-1/4 inches by 1-5/8 inches at the base and 2-5/8 inches high. I've attached a video to assist.

  • Length Measurement of Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases
The 6 foot length for ratchet strap set # 34414 is measured from the inside of one hook to the inside of the other. So the overall length would be a little more. It will probably be a good idea to go with something a little longer such as # EM34415 at 10 feet just in case you need the extra length sometime in the future.

  • Does the TracRac SR Fit Simultaneously with the BAK Revolver X4s on My 2022 Ford F-150?
Based on your recently-searched parts, I am assuming you have a 5-1/2 foot bed on your 2022 Ford F-150. If that is the case, the Thule TracRac SR # TH43002XT-508 and the BAK Revolver X4s # BAK56ZR are definitely compatible. I went ahead and attached a photo of a neighbor using the TracRac SR and the X4s on his Ford F-150. When the Erickson Retractable Tie Down part # EM34415 is fully retracted it measures 13-3/8 inches. I am not sure if you meant to type 6 feet or 6 inches but if 6 inches it would not secure at that length but if 6 feet it would work just fine.

  • Choosing Correct Hitch Tongue Weight Capacity for Using a 4-Bike Platform Bike Rack on Honda CR-V
The Curt Class III trailer hitch # C13119 does have a 350-lb tongue weight (TW) rating as you noted, and that capacity must be enough for the weight of the bike rack itself plus that of your loaded bikes. A substantial 4-bike rack like the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HR1400Z weighs about 80-lbs all by itself. Add the bikes and you are indeed talking about a hefty load on the hitch. In your case I absolutely agree that using a higher-rated hitch like Draw-Tite # 75742 is the way to...

  • Can 30x50 Flint Hill Good Cargo Carrier for 2 Inch Hitches Be Used In 2-1/2 In Receiver with Reducer
There is no issue with using a 2-1/2 inch receiver with a reducer to carry a hitch cargo carrier. You will likely need a longer hitch pin for the 2-1/2 inch receiver. The hitch pin that is included with the rack is for 2 inch hitch receivers. I recommend the 30 x 50 Flint Hill Goods Cargo Carrier with 48 Inch Ramp # FHG77ZR. • Best Versatile Tie-Down Options for a Cargo Trailer
I am not sure how many of the Erickson E-Track systems you have seen but it really is your best bet when it comes to versatility and functionality. • Can The Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps # EM34417 Be Used Without Bolting Down?
Yes, you can use the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps # EM34417 with running the straps hook into the bolt hole. I do not see any warnings/notes from Erickson saying they cannot be used in this manor. Personally I feel the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps # EM34415 would be a better option as they are the same strap with a 2nd hook on the other end. This will give you an additional 1' of length giving you 10' instead of only 9'.

  • Recommended Method to Carry Kayaks on 2015 Toyota Highlander XLE with Factory Roof Rack
There are several ways you can go to rig your 2015 Toyota Highlander with fixed factory roof crossbars for transporting kayaks. Adding a secondary roof rack is not an option, however, since aftermarket racks would have to use the same mounting points as your OEM bars. • Best Solution for Carrying E-Bike on a Travel Trailer Using a Carrier with a Ramp
I do have a couple of solutions for you but you do have a very unique situation so there isn't a perfect solution that is able to address all of your concerns. The best solution is to install a trailer hitch like the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13704 (which fits frames from 22" to 68-1/2" wide) on your travel trailer and then use the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033 to carry your bike. • Bike Rack Sways With 4 Bikes Loaded on Reese Eclipse Carrier 63124 on 2007 Honda Odyssey
These two bike carriers are similar overall but differ in that the Eclipse uses a single arm, 2-inch shank and offers 8 inches of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright mast. Your Translite uses dual arms, fits both hitch sizes and provides 11 inches of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright mast. This additional 3 inches of distance will tend to allow the Translite carrier to flex a bit more under load. My contact at ProSeries advises that...

The Erickson # EM34415 might be a little bit of overkill, but the ratcheting mechanisms work very nicely. I especially like the quick release button that works very well. I've always felt that when you are securing your cargo for transport, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a bit of overkill. Each strap has a 400 lb working load limit. If you wanted a less expensive option, try the Erickson # EM31352. This kit includes four 1x10 ratchet straps, and each strap has a 500 lb working...

  • What Determines Cargo Weight Limit for Hitch Carrier Installed on RV Bumper Hitch
The amount of actual cargo weight you can safely transport on a hitch cargo carrier installed in a bumper-mounted hitch is determined by the lowest-rated component. Those components consist of the RV's bumper, the hitch such as # UF35-946401 that is mounted on it, and the cargo carrier itself. The lowest-rated of the three items will determine overall capacity. • Hitch Carrier for Yamaha Zuma 125 Scooter Compatible with Class C Motorhome
Any accessory carrier made for use on a motorhome or trailer does need to be constructed for that specific application. The reason is that the distance from a motorhome's rear axle to the hitch is typically much greater than that on a passenger car or SUV. That longer distance translates to more motion and stress applied to the hitch and to whatever device is installed in it, such as a scooter or dirt bike carrier. The issue with scooters as compared to a typical dirt bike is that the...
