Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a RV Bumper Receiver Hitch. The RV Bumper Receiver Hitch is ideal for adding a bike rack, cargo carrier, or other cargo accessory to the back of your RV. This is not designed for towing applications. This adaptor clamps onto a four inch, or four and a half inch square RV bumper, and it accepts two inch by two inch hitch accessories.It can be mounted under or on top of your RV bumper, whatever works best for your application, and it includes durable zinc plated installation hardware. So these are your brackets. These are your bolts, and you have flat washers, split lock washers and nylon lock nuts to get this installed to your square RV bumper.Now the hitch itself is made from a durable carbon steel construction.
It's a really nice design. It features a powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. A few measurements I want to go over with you real quick, starting with the overall length of the base. Edge to edge is about six inches. Overall width of the base is about five inches, and the overall height from bottom to top is about two and seven-eighths inches.
The actual receiver tube measures about five inches long, and the hitch pin hole sits directly in the center, and this is designed to accept a standard five-eighth inch diameter hitch pin, or hitch lock. Those items are sold separately and available at etrailer.com.Now again, keep in mind this is a light duty hitch, and if you look at the sticker on the product, it says do not exceed manufacturer's bumper rating, or 200 pounds, whichever is less. So this does have a 200 pound capacity, but you also want to be sure not to exceed the manufacturer's bumper rating, and a limiting factor is whatever one, or whatever capacity is less. Yes it was and it had a 3 burner stove, awning poles and duct ch oven inside the box
Very easy to install. My bumper is so low I went with the on-top installation instead of underneath to avoid dragging. Bike rack fits just fine. (Please ignore the needs-to-be-washed state of my RV!)
Only used with bike hauler. Seems to work as advertised.

Its a quality product I just wish it exited the front a couple inches higher. Etrailer is my go to place for trailer related products. Good customer support.
This product did not fit a standard 2" hitch size - TOO TIGHT to properly receive the Yakima brand bicycle rack and very disappointing. Oh, I sledge hammered the bike rack hitch into place but that is NOT the way a product should "fit" a very standard product. I was disappointed in the product and that popular brand bicycle rack may NEVER come back out. Too tight "fit" of a product that should have some ability to move in and out properly. I can't recommend this 2" receiver hitch because of the inappropriate sizing.

Sorry to hear this. The only thing I can think of as to why this would be is an excessive build up of powder coating around the receiver or the bike rack tube. Sometimes some filing may be needed if there is excess paint. Please let etrailer customer service know asap if you are having issues with an item.
I bought this item to mount on the rear bumper of my camper. I use it to hold a bicycle rack. It was easy to install and serves its purpose just fine.

Good, I’ve used it a few times. It works just fine with the bike rack.
The hitch is well built and well designed. My problem was that my bar on the back of my camper wasn't built strong enough to support my hitch.
Easy to install and does what I needed it for. To store my hitch from the truck to an out of the way place on the travel trailer.

Working great no problems.
I bought two of these 2" receivers to attach to the back of my kayak trailers so I can also haul my bicycles when I go camping with my kayaks and bicycles. These 2" receiver hitches are ideal to mount to the rear of my boat trailers as they do not cause any problems with my boat roller that they are mounted under in the center of the rear of the boat trailer. Great for a bike carrier that can be removed to allow access to my kayaks.
I use this on my rv bumper and carry a bicycle rack. It has worked out well for us.

Product is fine. Issue is with the bumper. I recently added support struts to my bumper since it was over flexing with a bike rack on it.

You mentioned that the top bracket bent when you first used it and I have a few follow-up questions to ask. What were you using the hitch for? Do you know what the weight would have been? This hitch will only have a tongue weight of 200 pounds. When using with an cargo carrier or bike rack, you will want to factor in the weight of the carrier or rack along with the cargo. If using an extender it will cut the tongue weight from 200 pounds to 100 pounds.
