No matter how big your RV is you'll likely have gear you'd prefer not to store inside. This carrier lets you transport generators and fuel cans, so your storage compartments don't smell like gas. You can also strap coolers, luggage, and other bulky objects on it to free up space inside your RV. Lastly, it's great for carrying wet, dirty, or smelly items outside of the RV, keeping your interior clean and odor free. It has raised side rails that help prevent your gear from sliding off and provide multiple anchor points for a cargo net, bungee straps, or other tie-downs (sold separately).
Most RVs don't have hitches installed, so if you want to use a cargo carrier, you'd have to install a hitch receiver. However, this cargo carrier mounts on your RV's bumper, so you don't need a hitch to carry your gear. It's also designed to provide better load distribution across your bumper than a hitch-mounted carrier.
When the carrier is not being used, you can fold it up against the back of your RV. This is convenient if you need a little extra space at the campsite, if you're travelling but not carrying any gear at the time, or if you're parking close to a fence, a shed, or a garage. To fold the basket up, just remove the snapper pin from each arm assembly, fold the rack up toward your vehicle, then reinsert the pins through the holes in the top of the mounting brackets.
The carrier is easy to install. Just slide the mounting brackets over your RV's bumper, spacing them 17-5/8" apart (inside edge to inside edge), and secure them with the included M10 hex bolts. Attach the main arm assemblies to the mounting brackets with the included M16 hex bolts. Attach the basket to the main arm assemblies with the included M8 carriage bolts. The included support brackets mount to most RV frames to reinforce your bumper and prevent metal fatigue that can cause your bumper to detach.

Who provided the dimensions and spacing of the support arms . I was able to determine it would work on my Jayco trailer. The rack (in 2 boxes as expected) arrived n 2 days. Thank you UPS. Due to the extreme heat. I unboxed 1 box at a time . Inventoried everything. Nothing was missing. Did a loose assembly. Everything fit perfectly. Installed the e88ZR bumper supports that came with the rack. The "Trilobular threadforming" screws are NOT threadforming. No problem. Got the proper size tap and threaded the holes. Oh yes after stepping up the bit size . The excluded bit had no trouble finishing off the 6 holes to the proper size. Rack was very easy to install. Good fit and finish. Thank you again Jon G. And George J. I would recommend this rack and etrailer.
Probably won't purchase through this company again. I gave the information on my model of RV and recieved the hardware. I found the "bumper supports" poor quality as the "self threading" screws provided did not work. Even worse the brackets which were supplied with the unit would not fit over my bumper. After discussion with this company they came to the conclusion what they provided would not work and they offered to pay half of the cost of return the items. This is ridiculous as they are the ones who told me it would work on my vehicle. Totally unacceptable they were unwilling to pay all costs for the return. I took the brackets to a shop and had them bent just enough so I could get them over the bumper and finished the installation. I would never trust them again to honor thier word that an item will work on my RV or vehicle.
I was not excited to see it show up in two boxes and being a retired mechanic helped me assemble due to limited insight provided by the enclosed instructions. I would not advise anyone that does not have a large amount of mechanical experience to buy one of these due to the assembly instructions. When I first read the line on your box, my first thought was to send it back, I did not want to fight to put this together. I have bought multiple items from you over the years, first time I have been disappointed.
Overall fitment was okay. The rack does not sit level. When the trailer is level the rack is tilted down in the back, looks like its bent even though its not. Fasteners were typical chinese junk, have to be extra careful not to strip them. The packaging wasn't great. My rack arrived scratched up on the corners. It did bolt on pretty easily and has plenty of space for my needs. Not sure I would trust it with 500 lbs, but definitely good enough for the 150-200lbs I put on it. Overall it is a cost effective, quick/easy solution to add some carrying space on a camper. Should serve its purpose.
Shipping was fast. 1 hour from opening the box to installation. Took my time to lay everything out, get the right tools and a beer. Recommend layout shipping box or painting cloth to lay things out so you don’t scratch it. Yes, I know. It’s going to get scratched eventually. But why not protect it from the start.

Has worked as it should. Mounted on back 4 bumper without any problems. Always careful on the amount of weight I put on it.
This came with clear directions and assembled easily. Works as described in all photos, my opinion one of the best bumper storage carriers on the market today.
We purchased this cargo carrier about a year ago and I have to say it was a great addition for our camper. Never a reason to ever take it on and off, we use it every time we travel to transport our trikes. It was so simple to assemble and install it made the purchase even better. Great product. Thanks!

Purchased a 24x64 Cargo Carrier for the rear bumper of our camper. Even with free "economy" shipping, it still arrived within just a few days. Installation requires basic tools and is pretty simple with the instructions provided. This will provide a nice place to carry a cooler or generator on our adventures!
Well build and designed. Easy to assemble, and even though it's winter here, I'm thinking up a trip, just to use it. Very exciting to have this addition!

Its been a year already, and this back rack has been a blessing for us. It is so well build, and can take the weight of items I put on it, I dont even think twice about worrying.
This was just what we needed for transporting generators and camp stove. Makes it so much easier that lifting those items inside the RV or truck. Quality of product is good and it functions as designed.
Had to reinforce the Trailer frame on a 2021 forest river, as this mounts to the "bumper" forest river only stubs the bumper on with short pieces, and we didn't think that would handle the leverage of weight on the carrier and the "back of the bus" bounce you get on a long fifth wheel. Having said that, we put a 9500 watt 500 Lb. generator on it and went pretty much coast to coast, with absolutely no problems! The carrier itself is awesome, and easy to mount. Fold up feature is great, for the short jaunts without the need for it.

Very good product. Well made , fast shipping. Would give it 5 stars. Bolts and drill bits for bumper braces are junk. Bolts are not self threading, and drill bits wouldn’t drill one hole.

Very well made.The only problem with it after some rain and I fold it up, rust poors out of it and gets on the bumper.
We love it works awesome on back of camper to carry our bikes and other cargo
Product had slight damage upon arrival and was missing the proper parts. After a few weeks of back and forth between etrailer and myself without any true progress, I reached out to the manufacturer that they license the product from who provided some of the missing parts in just a few days without issue. The busted caps were not sent and customer service seemed disinterested to address the issue.
The cargo carrier has been on my trailer for approximately a week and is already showing signs of rust. I'll have to take it off and repaint...

I took several trips with my bumper pull travel trailer and Cargo Carrier and it worked well in carrying several large totes with STUFF inside them. I just ordered a toy hauler and removed the cargo carrier from the bumper on my traded in Jayco Eagle and will be trying to sell it on Marketplace.

The trailer fit our bumper perfectly and was a major improvement in both height and stability over our old hitch-mounted carrier :-).
Disappointed that on our first trip two of the three mounting brackets broke and we needed to have them welded to continue on our trip. I left messages with etrailer and the manufacture, with no response. Disappointed.
Its perfect for the back of my rig. Had to make some minor welding adjustments due to the fact my bumper is a 5" bumper, but this cargo carrier works perfectly and I am able to comfortably fit plenty of cargo on it securely. Would definitely recommend.

Very well built and solid rack just be sure you have clearance for the bracket to drop down onto bumper had to have a heavier steel bumper installed to support two generators
The rack is very heavy-duty. In fact maybe to much for the 4 inch bumper it attaches to. There is much assembly required. I would have given 5 stars but some of the holes did not line up between panels and the self tapping bolts were missing for mounting bumper supports.
