I bought two sets of these for a tracRac ladder rack. I actually used the ladder rack for hauling two kayaks. I bought the padding to cushion the cross bars do i wouldnt dent my kayaks. These ate easy to use. You simply install in minutes and holds on the cross bars with industrial strength velcro. The material that the pads are made of are a canvas like heavy duty material. I think these ate made very well and to date show no signs of wear and tear. Definitely reccomend these pads.
Purchased these for my front rack to haul my kayaks. Found out I want use two 30 inch one up front. Need to add two 24 inch pair to my order.

I’m sure these are good pads, but they do not fit a Thule TracRac properly and I’m disappointed that etrailer did not bring this to my attention since I ordered the rack and the pads at the same time.
I have not used the rack pads yet but thanks to Customer Service Rep Robert C, he was able to recommend TH846000 as being a pad that would fit my crossbars. I put them on today and there are a great fit. The material on the pads looks sturdy and the velcro closer is strong and tight.
