How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Bars on our 2022 GMC Terrain. Now adding a roof rack to the top of your Terrain is gonna help solve the issue of having limited cargo space. This is gonna make it so you can get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road for your adventure. So let's take a closer look and see how it interacts with our Terrain. Our roof rack is 46 inches long with our crossbars, and that's gonna give you plenty of space to get your rooftop accessories up.
So if you have a cargo box, bike carrier, or kayak carrier, you'll be able to use this as the foundation. You also have T-channel slots that you can cut out from your vortex slip, and that'll allow you to get those channeled accessories installed. On the end cap here, you're gonna have a plastic lock. And you can switch that out for a lock cord to give you an extra measure of security. This guy gives you a good low profile, so you can minimize how much you're adding to the top of your Terrain.
Installation's super easy on this guy. Only thing you're gonna really need is a tape measure, and that's gonna allow you to get your spacing set up. You can take advantage of the fact that you have a raised roof rack already from the manufacturer. Now, as far as the install, you have an included torque wrench, and it's one of those low stake installations that you can use a partner, friend, or family member to do. So you can make those memories of getting set up for your adventure.
Here at etrailer, we're a community of enthusiasts. And we'd love for you to share those photos with us. So grab your tape measure and we'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed. We're gonna start our installation by removing our end cap using our Rhino-Rack tool. Once we remove our tool, we'll be able to slide in our tower.
Now we're gonna align our tower with the lower channel. We're just gonna make sure we have our stopper slid in, and we'll just get it right there. So from here we're gonna be able to use our included measuring strip to make sure we have the appropriate spread. And we're just gonna go ahead and place this across the top of our Terrain. So I'm just gonna reach across, and I'm using the front hole from the factory crossbars as my reference point of where I want to align. And I'm gonna go through and measure to make sure I have the spread that I want between my crossbars, and make sure I'm aligned on both sides. You wanna make sure you're going from side to side as you tighten, just because it tends to pull, and then you're gonna get a torque until you click. The included tool is really nice and it gives you a full indication to let you know that you're secured. So you can see we're nice and tight on the rack, and all you have to do is lock her down. This is gonna look at the installation and the fit of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Bars for your 2022 GMC Terrain. I'm Ed, this is etrailer.com, and you have a great day.
