MB Sturgis Propane Fittings - 100575-15-MBS

  • Hoses
  • Pigtail Hoses
  • 1/4 Inch - MIF
  • Type 1 - Female
  • MB Sturgis

Pigtail makes the connection from the propane tanks on your trailer to the propane regulator on your trailer. Check valve prevents hazardous backflow leakage and is suitable for dual-tank setups.

Features:

  • Propane pigtail connects your propane cylinder to a regulator
    • Used for single or dual tank setups on the front of your travel trailer
  • Female Type 1 fitting connects to the valve on your propane cylinder
  • Male Inverted flare connects to a propane regulator
  • Built-in bypass mode shuts gas off when flow reaches maximum capacity for safety
    • Thermal shut-off device turns off gas flow in extreme heat caused by open flame
    • Excess-flow safety device limits gas flow in the event of a severe leak
  • Durable thermoplastic hose and brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • Rated for high pressure and high flow rate to handle unregulated propane
    • UL569 and ANSI Z21-81 certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 140 F
  • Hose dimensions: 15" long x 1/4" inner diameter
  • Hose fittings:
    • Type 1 tank connection
    • 1/4" Male inverted flare
  • Maximum pressure rating: 350 psi
  • Maximum flow capacity: 450,000 Btu per hour
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Bypass Mode for Safety

This Type 1 connector will go into bypass mode if the flow rate surpasses the maximum flow capacity for this connector, which is 450,000 Btu per hour. A ball inside of the fitting will push an internal spring down, pressing firmly against the bottom of the fitting to shut off the flow of gas.

When choosing a Type 1 connector, consider your overall propane demands and choose a connector with a flow rate that just exceeds it. That way, you won't trigger the bypass mode during normal use, but it will trigger in the event of a leak. If the bypass valve engages, stop using gas and start checking your connections for leaks.

Needed to replace a leaking pigtail hose. Bought two of these hoses and 1/4" female inverted flare x 1.4" MPT fittings (402258-MBS). Added fittings to regulator with yellow Teflon gas tape on threads. Replaced both hoses and leak checked. No leaks! Great quality fittings and hoses from MB Sturgis. Fast service and delivery from etrailer.com.

by:

High quality hose and cylinder valve connecter, the flare to 1/4" npt fitting was the perfect product enabling me to make the mechanical connection to my propane regulator.

by:

Product arrived early and it matched the website description.

This unit works well for what I used it for.

by:

Etrailer is top notch

by:

still working perfectly after a year

by:

This is my third order from etrailer and each order has been great from trailer hitches, balls, special hitch parts and finally propane parts to repair my set up at home for fire place logs. You can’t miss with these folks

Benn Working perfect

by:

Nice to have new hoses that don't leak. I have a two tank regulator that automatically switches to the 2nd tank when the first is empty. Works great unless the leaky hose on the 2nd tank has drained it already. My existing hoses were new with my Coiugar and were cracked and useless after just 3 years. I checked prices at the dealer and found these for a fraction of the price, This year that dual tank regulator worked flawlessly.

by:

Excellent service. My new spot for RV p arts!

Installed Product

by:

This dark green OPD Type 1 connector allows the high flow rate that my propane powered outboard engine needs for full throttle.

by:

It's been a year since I installed these pigtail lines.
The rubber hoses are still pliable, not rigid like others I've used in the past.
Great product and the price was very fair.

by:

Received my propane pigtails 2 days after I ordered them. Thank You for the fast service. I would recommend etrailer to anyone.

by:

Exactly as described. Excellent shipping as always with eTrailer.

by:

Hose was good quality. Holding up good with no issue after a year.

by:

Needed a replacement. This one fits perfectly, not too long, not too short.

by:

Easy ordering,,, quick delivery, easy r eplacement!

by:

Worked perfect, replaced my old style hoses. Very reasonable price from etrailer.

by:

They have performed as expected.
Interesting
situation that created the purchase was a hidden leak we had been struggling to find.
It was a slightly over filled tank! But thank you for great products.

by:

The part was a perfect fit and Jesse took the time to find a part that was in stock after my first search showed not available for several months.

by:

Product works great and rubber hose is still pliable.

by:

Works great and fit great .

by:

These hoses seem to be of good quality for the price!

  • Is My Propane Pigtail Bad
If the hose has stopped working you will need a new one to be safe. You can see a replacement MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 15" # 100575-15-MBS in this link. A spring keeps the safety relief valve closed as long as the pressure inside the tank is at a safe level. If the pressure in the tank reaches the same amount of pressure of the spring, the safety relief valve is opened. If that happens, you’ll hear a hissing sound coming from the tank. In instances...

  • Is Cover Needed For MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator 888001-MBS
A plastic cover is not needed with the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS. This regulator has a pair of 1/4" female inverted flare inlets and you can connect your propane tanks to the regulator with the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 15" # 100575-15-MBS or 30" # 100575-30-MBS.

  • Two-Stage Regulator With Automatic Changeover For Dual Propane Tanks
Thank you for the photo it was helpful, and what it shows is you do have the standard dual propane tank set up, so you can absolutely use the MB Sturgis regulator you asked about: - MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS Then if you'd also like new hoses what you can use are the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 15 inches # 100575-15-MBS or 20 inches # 100575-20-MBS.

  • 2-Stage Automatic Changeover Regulator For 20 lb Propane Tanks
For a pair of 20 lb propane tanks, I recommend an option from MB Sturgis: - MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS This regulator has a pair of 1/4" female inverted flare inlets and you can connect your propane tanks to the regulator with the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 15" # 100575-15-MBS or 30" # 100575-30-MBS.

  • Replacement Hose For Connecting from RV Propane Tanks to Regulator
The standard pigtail harness to go from an RV propane tank is the RV Type 1 ACME 1/4 inch fitting like what is found on the part # 100575-15-MBS you referenced. If instead you have the older style left-hand thread POL threads you'd also need the part # 204128-MBS. If you are still unsure send me a picture of what you have currently and I'll be able to determine what would work best.

  • Replacement Pigtail Needed for Type 1/ACME Fitting to Regulator
It sounds like you have a POL fitting for your propane and you are wanting to change to a Type 1/ACME propane fitting. You can definitely do this as long as you use the newer propane tanks that have the threads on the outside of the tank valve. To accomplish this you need the Propane Pigtail # 100575-15-MBS. If your regulator doesn't already have the brass fitting for the inverted flare side you also need the adapter # 402258-MBS. Using the inverted flare fitting means you don't have...

  • I Need Propane Tank to Regulator Pigtail with 3/16 ID with Inverted Flare 2 Feet Long
I believe what you're looking for is the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose part # 100019-24 this has the POL end for the tank side that will thread into the internal threads of the tank. Most of the regulators have the 1/4" inverted flare which this one also has. It is 2' overall in length as well which matches what you're looking for. Check out the attached video to see it. If this is not what you are seeking out let me know.

  • Pigtail Hoses Needed For A Camco Automatic Changeover Dual Propane Tank Regulator
1/4" is the most typical fitting size for the inlets on an RV regulator but manufacturers typically throw whatever they have onto the trailers so the 1/4" size could've just been out of stock at the time your RV was manufactured or they just got a better deal on the other regulator. Personally, I would just swap out the pigtail hoses to make things easier and allow you to connect to the Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks # CAM59005. You could use...

  • Replacement Pigtail Hose For A Cavagna Two-Stage Regulator
Unfortunately, we don't carry the exact fitting your needing for your Cavagna Regulator. From what I can find about this brand, Cavagna has a slightly different fitting than the standard fittings you'll find on the market. From the reviews of their Cavagna branded hoses I've seen that even using their own pigtail hoses is a gamble as many people state the fittings they received are too small to fit the regulator. I highly recommend replacing your regulator with the Compact Low Pressure...

  • Connecting 4 Propane Tanks to a Travel Trailer
Yes, you are on the right track. You would essentially be setting up 2 separate 2 tank systems. So using (2) of the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS will work great for that. You would then also want (4) of the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail # 100575-15-MBS to connect your tanks to the regulators. Then you can either get (1) of the MB Sturgis Propane Hose Assembly # 100383-60-MBS if you want to disconnect from the regulator to switch over to the second...

  • Equipment Needed To Hook Two Propane Tanks Up To A Propane Appliance
You can hook the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS up between your two 20lbs propane tanks but the # 100473-12 will not work as supply lines because you need a male inverted flare tip like the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 15" Item # 100575-15-MBS. Then you can use the MB Sturgis High Pressure Propane Hose - 3/8" MPT x 3/8" Female Flare Swivel - 6' Item # 100040-72-MBS as long as the grill you're hooking up to...

  • Upgrading To Dual Propane Tanks On A 2019 Jayco Hummingbird Travel Trailer
To start if you don't already have a place to mount the two tanks you can use the Complete Propane Tank Holder Mounting Kit for 20-lb Tanks - Black Item # 37220BL. This mounting kit will mount directly to the frame on your trailer. Then you'll need a dual tank regulator like the Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-31525. • Are There Any Manual Changeover Dual Tank Propane Regulators Available
Since we don't currently have a manual changeover regulator the easiest option to essentially make it manual would be to simply use a automatic one like the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS you were looking at and just simply open only one propane tank valve at a time. You could run both tanks to a manifold with separate cutoff valves and then to a single tank regulator like you most likely have, but you'd be adding additional components, taking...

  • Parts for 40 Pound Propane Tank Connection.
The parts you are suggesting are; # 37207-31455 Propane Hose, # 37207-31525 regulator, and # 100575-15-MBS propane tank Type-1 pigtail. Looks good for two 40# tanks. If you only have one tank, then you only need one pigtail and you can use a regular regulator like the JR Products # 37207-30335 made for RV's and supporting 175,000 BTU. Select a regulator based on the application. You can email me back if you need a different sized regulator.
